And then you’ll have people tell you that personalities don’t win you votes. Rise Mzansi has the budget of a top 3 party while pulling out graveyard voter numbers.
Afrika Mayibuye performed better than Rise Mzansi by a wide margin.

That 1 used to enjoy SSA money while still running Friends of Jacob Zuma. She was lucky that their friendship ended and worked her way back. She was a charlatan
Who remembers when journalist Karima Brown went to court to have the EFF deregistered?

The way her and Naledi Chirwa’s careers in politics progressed after FMF sheds light on which political party is progressive and which one is performative with progressiveness. One of them became a household name. We can’t remember the other one’s name.
What happened to that “sarafina” chick from fees must fall? She got her parliament seat and disappeared or?

The approach might have been smart but the results were disastrous. Only managing to get 1.78% in the CoJ when the electorate was disgruntled and actively seeking out alternatives is dreadful. Especially with the human and financial resources Rise had. Failure in it's purest form
Another thing I think people missed with Rise Mzansi and the point I guess Songezo made is that they ran a very targeted campaign and probably had interest in maybe 2-3 municipalities but really their only interest was getting Lukhona in to Johannesburg and it worked!🤷‍♂️ …he’s in

When you get catapulted to being a star but you have zero talent
The internet really turned on Elsa and for absolutely no reason, she has done nothing to warrant the sudden hate and bullying

Talentless people having fans is the first problem, a bored teenager making vids during COVID and you lot turned her into some star 😂😂😂
I’ve always been an avid Elsa fan, but I must admit, she lost me when her success peaked & her content shifted to flaunting wealth & looking down on those who had less, dismissing everyone as poor & jealous. I felt she was losing the very connection that made ppl root for her 1/2

Those proclamations of high self importance is what lead you guys to a momentous loss.
Twitter has legit made you guys think you are peers with medical doctors who've worked at UN and led political campaigns

It's tempting to laugh at Rise Mzansi for their dismal performance despite being given the money, media and civil society coverage of a 20% party. But that's a mistake,, because it's clear that the Oppenheimers are using them differently... They got 2 seats in Parliament (/400) and yet got the positions of: Chairman of SCOPA (Zibi) Chair of the impeachment inquiry (Gana) They got 1 seat in Gauteng (/80) yet that person became MEC for Economic Development overseeing gambling (in which the Oppenheimers have a large stake). You only need the right to have one puppet in Parliament and with behind the scenes 'leverage' that puppet could be president or premier. Or in a city they could become mayor. So while they deserve derision for their two-faced posturing and disastrous Rand/vote and Rand/hour ratios, it's no laughing matter for South African democracy. One day South Africans could wake up to an Oppenheimer puppet president who only got 0.8% of the national vote...

“Absolutely not” - Rise Mzansi leader Songezo Zibi on people who says they should have clubbed themselves up with ActionSA to form an umbrella of sorts. He says ActionSA is generally a “right wing” political party.

The EFF is fine. South Africa just needs voter education. That's what we need to fix.

The problem with leaving out nuance is that we will fall for amplification of the extremes, which is already happening. It’s not just black and/or white. I’m not for this one Africa one President euphoria or the outright Mabahambe rhetoric.

The EFF vs Jacinta debate lacks nuance. I oppose the EFF’s silence, or even support, on illegal immigration. Equally, I oppose xenophobia and the harassment of legal immigrants. We can demand enforcement of immigration laws without being xenophobic. This nuance to be on the fore.
To prioritise South Africans we must agree to Afrophobia? To chasing people, abusing families, preventing pregnant women from health care??! Beating up people on the streets? Children leaving school and their homes?

You have to be able to hold people accountable for how they treat you, whether that means confronting them, cutting them off, or simply distancing yourself. Whatever approach you choose, you must never allow people to disrespect you.

The decline started in 2009. ANC didn’t have 62% when Zuma left
Cupcake took ANC from 62% upon arrival to 31% now. In a matter of 10 years. Insane.

Africans think the poorer the voter, the more loyal..idk where they get it bt i suspect religious indoctrination, they dont have faith in their people, thats why they call educated blacks "clever blacks" bcoz they hate to be held accountable, they think public office ke bo ndona
The average DA voter is only 8% unemployed; the average ANC, MK and EFF voter is 50% unemployed. Affluent areas will always have high turnout. Let's get Africans affluent, and we won't have to complain about voter turnout.
