It’s time for a new company to lead on next gen trucks and SUV’s. @tesla proved that pure EV’s are only commercially viable as small commuter cars. The doubters were correct and Elon was wrong.
We need something new, like a diesel/electric hybrid. Can Scout get their gas/electric powertrain to market? Are any real truck companies like Dodge, Ford or GMC looking at this?

Cybercab is simply an appliance and I am unexcited.
I root for Robotaxi
That’s monetized FSD
But that’s a service
The vehicle the Cybercab is not pivotal
The Robotaxi is
Reconsider some ideas Elon.
Why does @Allegiant pack the plane so early then just sits at the gate forever? They seriously board an hour early then sit there for 30 minutes.
I’ll stick around with @tesla for the financial win but the new lineup is boring.
2 commuter cars? What about people who are outdoor people? We don’t drive commuter cars…

Strictly as a Tesla fan (no investment angle), it's criminal that the best company on earth at making the safest, most enjoyable vehicles will only be selling two models consumers can buy while Robotaxi is available to < 1% of the global population

Serious question, what other Tesla product can tow a camper or launch my jetskis in the lake?
Or take me up a forest service road for a night in the mountains?
Which one can I load my snowmobile into and drive 300 miles north?
Are we not supposed to have hobbies in the future?

@Tesla not having a truck is just un-American…

This one is a real gut punch.
I have dreamed of this truck. I kept hoping they'd drive price down as they hit profitibility. I waited with a reservation for years and fought the FUD.
I get it. Elon's got this vision... but he sold us a vision where he was expanding products and one day we all would own one at cheaper prices. 20 Million on the roads.
For the life of me I'll never understand why they didn't drive relentlessly towards that until they were 100% ready with the cybercab. Yea, yea he has only so much talent to work on these things.
But even with the cybercab a truck is still needed, private ownership is still needed for so many use cases for years to come.
This one took the wind out of my sails a bit. And I consider myself a die hard fan. Investor since 2014

I feel so sorry for all of the people and families who always wanted a Cybertruck but was never able to afford one
I imagined a future where Cybertruck was everywhere. Even the poor-man’s truck because it was cheap to operate and reliable as hell.
Instead of driving down price and trying new things, Tesla doubled down on their broken 2019 promises and said “huh, nobody is buying I wonder why”. Hello??

Something interesting is definitely going on. Wait times for the Premium AWD trim were only 4-8 weeks, yet they raised the price by 9%.

Yes very progressive. Ban tech. Ban computer. Ban linear algebra. The most progressive position is to prevent technological progression

This is what happened for the prior 3 decades of moving manufacturing offshore that hallowed out our middle class.
Same group of people and thinking … we could have had it all here.
