There’s a reason I called Edwards the L1 Madueke… if you’ve got no/ very erratic end product, but do cause chaos, simplify the game for them. His assist against Bromley came from RB after all. #pufc
Had fun digging into lesser-discussed League One talents in the piece below! Also nice to get a nod to @Kish_P14 whose work I’ve been enjoying recently. Helped make a point about wingers & wonder if Peterborough’s Owura Edwards could be platformed better with a simple tweak.

Excellent work from @matt_pufc #pufc
Darragh says top 10 by February or he’ll sell his share. Robbie Savage says we’re in a relegation battle. We ran the numbers to see which of them is right 👇 📊 The points we’d need from the next 15 games ⚽ Must-wins, swing games and what xG says about us 📉 Where we’re really heading by February Read here: uptheposhcast.com/post/top-1… #pufc #uptheposhcast

Potential leg breaking tackle on a 16 year old. Stay classy @ftfc 👏

The Prem is another world from the EFL sometimes. A red in the Prem!?! Perfectly good tackle. ‘Could have trapped his leg”, it wasn’t reckless, and this is a contact sport? Any slide tackle could result in an injury or trap a leg, should we ban it then? Very silly stuff.
Heavy challenge by Neal on Dowman, welcome to L2 tackling, probably given as a red in PL, could have trapped Dowman’s planted leg. 16-year-old reacted, kicked Neal, sent off, can’t complain. Not a lot of sympathy from Arteta. Disappointing. Kid could have done with some support.

This is the whole problem in two tweets. One person believes we should be up there always. But if Fergie, LW and RS all fail to have us up there consecutively? That’s data, screaming at us. There’s 0 evidence this squad is good enough. I really hope they are though! #pufc

League One shouldn’t have international breaks. That, or reduce the amount of games. You shouldn’t have a three week gap in November, and play 46 games, & efl trophy, and carabao and fa cup.

Me again while the lads are busy! No headloss here, just a bit of naivety being punished against a very good side, which we break down. 4 points from Savage’s fixtures so far is a fine return, big game at Bromley! #pufc
🚨 NEW EPISODE! Huddersfield Town 4-1 Posh 🎰 The two mistakes Robbie Savage made 😴 Is it time to give Bolu a rest? 🇳🇿 It’s about time Garbett showed his class 😫 Are we worried about Bass? 🔗 youtu.be/fWdTpWrOccQ 🫧 Powered by @swell_clean #pufc #UpThePoshcast #htafc

As far as 4-1 defeats go, could be worse. Bit naive to go for it with wingers as wing-backs, but it might’ve worked better if we weren’t playing the best team in the league. 4 from Hud (A), Lei (A) and Bur (H), is all good. Onto Bromley #pufc

Huddersfield are the real deal. Gave us the ball, picked us off with ease. Fernandes is in the wrong league, I’d give my left arm for Collins and Taylor back in Posh shirts, their bench is loaded. If they’re not in the auto’s I’ll be stunned #htafc

HT: Huddersfield 1-0 Posh. Huddersfield look comfortable. Stats are similar, but they lead on shots and interceptions. Moving it quicker, picking us off in transition, while we're too slow on the ball. Need to get it forward earlier, press higher, and win second balls. #PUFC

Big game for Blackpool tonight at home, will it follow the script?
"It's not as if Blackpool are awful, it's more sort of a bit depressingly bad." @tomwoods35 makes his assessment of Blackpool's current predicament. #UTMP

Lovely to be back again, talking about the rollercoaster that is Savageball. He did promise us it would never be boring! Really enjoyed the performance; those gaps between Def & Mid need closing asap though #pufc

Posh 2–2 Burton. Savageball in a nutshell: relentless pressing, quick attacks, second balls won and bodies flooding the box. Huge gaps between Mid and Def, counter after counter from Burton, and wasteful finishing from us. Garbett rescues a deserved point. Pure basketball. #PUFC

Workers in the back-office in football are so mistreated. Often underpaid vs the market, then have their few thousands trimmed while millions more are given to multi-millionaires. These cuts wouldn’t pay for 20% of Arteta’s yearly salary. Not just an Arsenal & Utd thing either.
Kroenke is an owner obsessed with margins and staff numbers but cuts there are negligible when you have players on £100,000 a week as "crash test dummies in training" And a wider issue is a club culture is eroded, as well as what a club is supposed to stand for independent.co.uk/sport/foot…

Saturday was one of the best #PUFC away days in years! In a week, Savage has transformed the mood from toxic to euphoric. The tactics have transformed too. So what's he done? It might end up a defensive mess in the future, but the belief is back. The old Posh could be back!
