I’ve seen some posts from folks upset that palestinians weren’t allowed to vote in Israel’s elections. Well, no, they weren’t. Canadians are not allowed to vote in US elections, either. Gazans have their own elections, apparently every 20 years or more.

The cracks are already showing in this Canada / EU alliance before the summit even takes place.
Germany, Italy, France and Greece objected to a draft EU-Canada declaration that cites Von der Leyen’s “associate membership” offer.
They are the biggest members in the EU and without their support this over the top announcement tomorrow essentially means nothing.
And can you guess how many Canadian news outlets are reporting on this? I’ve seen one. That’s it. The rest it’s all sunshine and lollipops.

Actually, Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Jews, Muslims and Christians all have the right to vote in national elections. So where’s the outcry about the discrimination, religious restrictions and lack of democratic freedoms in so many other Arab and Islamic countries? And one has only to imagine what would have happened last summer had the Arabs and their Russian backers won the war to realize how vital the survival of Israel is to America and the West in general.
