When you say you’re ‘anti-woke’ what I hear you saying is ‘I don’t give a shit about other human beings, my opinion is all that counts’ @RadioNational

When you compliment someone for having lost weight you
1. Insinuate that thin = good fat = bad
2. Might be encouraging extreme and unhealthy behaviours around exercise and food
3. Might be complimenting an illness
We should stop commenting on people’s bodies
It’s not the worst ever, but today I’m fucking tired of it. #type1diabetes #hypos
From the current parish newsletter. Being a rector is so glamorous. ‘Please do not flush mop heads, rubbish, sanitary items or your dreams down our toilets.’ @RevDaniel
Seriously #dexcom, I know I’m high. I have given correction doses. You don’t need to beep at me every 10 minutes. It won’t make the insulin work faster. 😒

Looking back I can’t believe I’ve been stereotyped by some hcp who think T1 is fully controlled by taking insulin & that doing the same thing always equals same results. Well nope because hormones, weather, exercise, exertion, stress, ill health, emotions etc etc #gbdoc #diabeteschat
And people are obsessing over the fake problem of who uses which bathroom. 😡
I think the circled peak was my first hot flush. #type1diabetes #Menopause
Just like #type1diabetes. #T1D
I’ve been asking myself this every day for 29 years.

Diet being a major modifiable determinant of disease doesn't mean we can 100% control our health outcomes fully through a perfect righteous diet. That isn't how it works. Biology is complicated. We aren't designed, we aren't spreadsheets, we don't live in bubbles.
