It’s truly hopeless, because it’s a cultural problem, and more importantly, a spiritual problem. Power is an aphrodisiac to these politicians, and they’ll sacrifice any human value to retain it.
I hate to be this cynical, but I’ll be honest…running for Mayor exposes you to things that make you believe the city is actually being overtaken by demonic energy. Drive south Fig at night. Go to 6th and San Pedro. You see children openly prostituting, drug zombies setting dogs and cats on fire, babies born to crackheads and tossed in a dumpster, dead people just lying in the streets…that’s not even to mention the dozen neighbors of ours who burned alive in what is now a crumbled hellscape.
Many times I wondered if the city’s problems weren’t beyond the reach of any politician’s capacity to actually fix. There is a cultural and spiritual rot that can’t be fixed at the ballot box. Until we fix the culture, we are kinda just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and the shit we shovel around every 4 years doesn’t really mean a thing.

🚨 We urgently need blankets at our Philadelphia headquarters! 🚨
Our Animal Law Enforcement team recently rescued a large group of cats, many of whom are battling panleukopenia, a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening disease.
The cats are being cared for in isolation areas, and our team is taking every precaution to protect them and the other animals in our care. Staff wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow strict cleaning and sanitation protocols to help prevent the virus from spreading. We take the health and safety of every animal here incredibly seriously.
As part of these precautions, we have to throw away the blankets these cats use during each cleaning to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. This means we’re going through blankets much faster than usual and urgently need donations to help keep our cats warm and comfortable.
If you have extra blankets to spare, we could really use them right now! Donations can be dropped off at 350 E Erie Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134. You can also shop our Amazon wishlist: amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2Y…
Thank you for always showing up for the animals who need us most! ❤️

This story should be national news. An illegal alien living in New Jersey, who had previously been in custody and instead of being removed was transferred to the Office of Refugee Resettlement, came to one of the most rural and secluded areas of Lancaster County to prey on an Amish woman.
We are very fortunate this story did not end up being much, much worse.
Preventing crime and having a safe community is government’s first duty. Every Lancaster County citizen should be able to go about their daily life free from attack. This is true whether they live in the most urban part of Lancaster City or the most rural part of the southern end. I take it personally when people come to our community to prey on our citizens.
For months we have had some of our public meetings bogged down by anti-law enforcement protestors who are against the County working with ICE. They are fine with this kind of thing happening. I am not. Your government owes you a duty to do their best to protect you and your family from crimes by people who never should have been in the United States.

On January 26, 2011, a snowstorm hit Philadelphia hard enough that schools let out early.
Ellen Greenberg was 27, a first grade teacher. She was engaged, planning a wedding, and living with her fiancé in an apartment in the Manayunk neighborhood.
That afternoon, her fiancé went down to the building's gym.
When he came back up, he couldn't get in. The apartment door was locked with the swing bar latch, the kind that can only be fastened from the inside.
He called her. Texted her. Emailed her. For about half an hour.
No answer.
He finally forced the door open.
Ellen was in the kitchen, slumped against the cabinets. A 10 inch knife was buried in her chest.
She had been stabbed 20 times. Including wounds to the back of her head and neck. She also had bruises in different stages of healing.
The medical examiner who did the autopsy ruled it a homicide.
Then, after meeting with police, he changed it.
Suicide.
Police pointed to that latched door. No sign of forced entry. No sign anyone else had been there. They said she'd been under stress and anxiety in the weeks before.
Her parents were devastated. How does someone stab themselves in the back of the neck? Twenty times?
They spent years and hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting the ruling. Forensic experts sided with them. Even the original medical examiner later said in a sworn statement that he no longer believed it should be called a suicide.
In 2025, the city settled their lawsuits and agreed to a fresh review.
The new review came back in October 2025. Same answer. Suicide.
Then this January, something nobody expected. Federal prosecutors started issuing subpoenas to the Philadelphia police and other agencies involved in the case. By spring, FBI agents were interviewing witnesses.
Her fiancé has never been suspected of wrongdoing. Nobody has ever been charged.
15 years later, Ellen Greenberg's death is still officially a suicide.
Her parents still don't believe a word of it.

As a PA State Trooper, you never know what you’ll be called to do. Trooper Bernard rescued five kittens he found stranded on the side of the road in Speers Borough, Washington County. He then took the animals to an organization that would properly care for them.

Look up tonight. The Hunter's Moon will be putting on quite a show.

You mean he had 25 years to become legal and refused to do it.
A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r
This is so cool!
Today, the calendar makes a right triangle, for the last time this century.
This Saturday is October 24, 2026.
Write it as 10/24/26 or 24/10/26, and the same beautiful relationship appears:
10² + 24² = 26²
100 + 576 = 676
But here’s what makes today special.
There are infinitely many Pythagorean triples. Only a handful fit our calendar.
Using the rule
month² + day² = (last two digits of the year)²,
the month cannot exceed 12, and the day cannot exceed 31. Those small limits leave exactly 12 qualifying dates in this century.
Today is the last.
The next will be March 4, 2105:
3² + 4² = 5²
That is a wait of more than 78 years.
An infinite family of triangles. Just twelve appearances on a century’s calendar.
Happy Pythagorean Triple Day.
