There's never been an investment like the investment in railroads. (This graph has a log scale!)

Today we’re announcing an expanded partnership with @Broadcom to co-develop multiple generations of our next-generation MTIA chips.
This custom silicon will help power AI across all of Meta's apps and services, ensuring we have the massive computing foundation needed to deliver personal superintelligence to billions

France is investing $30,000,000 in this new ai initiative
That’s how much Google will spend in 90 minutes.
No joke. Every 90 minutes Google will spend $30 million on capex this year.
One company.
In France, we believe in science.
That is why, on May 5, I issued a clear and open call to the world: for science, choose France.
I am very proud to see that this call has resonated so strongly.
Around forty leading researchers have chosen France.
Through “France 2030”, we have invested more than €30 million to advance health, climate action, artificial intelligence, and fundamental sciences.
Science has found its home.

Finding myself going back to RSS/Atom feeds a lot more recently. There's a lot more higher quality longform and a lot less slop intended to provoke. Any product that happens to look a bit different today but that has fundamentally the same incentive structures will eventually converge to the same black hole at the center of gravity well.
We should bring back RSS - it's open, pervasive, hackable.
Download a client, e.g. NetNewsWire (or vibe code one)
Cold start: example of getting off the ground, here is a list of 92 RSS feeds of blogs that were most popular on HN in 2025:

Works great and you will lose a lot fewer brain cells.
I don't know, something has to change.

most people will install clawd and accidentally hand it their entire life
it’s incredible: a 24/7 ai agent on your server that controls your github, calendar, and email via whatsapp/telegram
but stop and think for a second
you just gave an ai autonomous execution rights on your machine and root access to your digital life
if you run this with default settings, you are one prompt injection away from wiping your entire github organization, losing your emails or much worse
before you connect it to anything, you need to lock it down to make sure you and your digital life are secure
here is the non-negotiable security config for clawd: 👇

Weekend win: The proof I submitted for Erdos Problem #397 was accepted by Terence Tao.
The proof was generated by GPT 5.2 Pro and formalized with Harmonic.
Many open problems are sitting there, waiting for someone to prompt ChatGPT to solve them:

I just learnt that one of the top submitters in the nvfp4 competition has never hand written GPU code before.
I did not expect this..
Programming was never about learning how to write if-then statements. It was about building cool things and understanding how they work. Neither of which modern LLMs take away from you. Even if they build everything, you will still need to understand to direct them.

You can run CUDA, on a Mac ARM GPU, in the browser.
It sounds ridiculous but it actually works.
HipScript chains CUDA, to OpenCL, to Vulkan, to Tint (Google’s shader translator), to a WASM WebGPU.
I got a plasma simulation in running in just a few minutes, no NVIDIA GPU!

Tested on 6 problems and spoiler alert!
They all suck -> 5%

We've announced cuTile, a tile programming model for CUDA!
It's an array-based paradigm where the compiler automates mem movement, pipelining & tensor core utilization, making GPU programming easier & more portable.
I'm proud of my stellar team for all their hard work on this!

Ooooh, found a cool little intro to CUDA! Specifically for Python Devs, so should be easy to pick upn
