Three down. Three left. The people have spoken. We have had enough of the chaos, the hatred, the corruption, and the authoritarian idiots who think the world belongs to them. Orbán, Bolsonaro and Vučić have all been rejected by voters. Today, Netanyahu could be next. And Trump looks increasingly likely to earn his own big red cross in the midterms. That leaves Putin. The rest of us must make sure Moscow gets its red cross too, by giving Ukraine everything it needs to defeat Russia’s imperial ambitions. The age of «strongmen» is looking a little less strong. And that is a beautiful thing. Remember when you could wake up in the morning without wondering which country was being threatened, which ally had been insulted, or which international crisis had been manufactured overnight by a man with an oversized ego? When politics was often boring, diplomacy happened behind closed doors, and world leaders generally tried to solve problems instead of creating three new ones before breakfast? It wasn’t a perfect world. Far from it. But there was a certain peace in not having to listen to angry old men demanding the world’s attention every single day. Imagine getting that peace back. Imagine a world where the morning news is about progress, discoveries and possibilities, rather than the latest threats, lies and tantrums. We deserve that world again.

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump and his family have lost surprise elections, thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

Lots of people are asking me where to give their money - if you can only do one race, I’d give what you can to @MaryPeltola Several reasons: 1) It’s a small state, so your money goes further per expected senate vote 2) Direct donations buy 19x ads per dollar than committees due to the unit rule - this also frees up the DSCC and SMP to put their money on states with smaller IE/coord ad price spreads and frees them up to spend more on digital 3) it’s likely going to be close! It’s not too late! Any money you send today will get spent immediately and will provide real relief to an overworked campaign workers across a bunch of orgs! secure.actblue.com/donate/mp…

Gas prices are “temporarily” high, says the president. That’s because Republicans are temporarily in power. Vote.
TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

Many of you are asking how you can help me in these final days before the election. My only ask is this: Spread the word about the threats to democracy and how we can fight back. Tell everyone to subscribe to Democracy Docket and share its content. demdock.com/4wbp1va

Obama will be known for: -enacting our 1st national health care plan -guiding recovery from financial crisis -honorable service -intellect -exemplary family life -exposing the visceral racism of "regular folks" who couldn't accept a black president
Makes speeches for 500k a pop. Hasn’t eaten dinner that costs less than $250 in years. Has never been in a Cheesecake Factory. Undefeated at condescending to regular folks. Will always be known for a presidency that ushered in the Trump era to begin with.

A Democratic sweep in the midterms won’t magically fix everything overnight. But between Trump entering lame-duck territory and Democrats gaining the subpoena power to check his corruption, the fever will finally start to break. It’s a long road back, but this is where the turnaround begins.

Donald Trump is everything our Founders feared. He’s a cruel, corrupt, lawless, ignorant, authoritarian, pathologically lying sociopath. The best you can say about @billmaher is that he’s a useful idiot. Whatever Maher’s motivation, he’s normalizing a monster. This is really dangerous stuff. Shame on you @RealTimers.👇

Musk seems to go out of his way to invite a showdown with Gov’t. He has acquired so much power and influence, it’s inevitable there will be a growing majority of Americans who believe his influence should be curtailed. I think his outsized role this cycle is a net negative for the GOP fwiw. We used to have ownership rules regarding media consolidation; perhaps our laws need updating, but it’s clear Gov’t needs to clip his wings; it’s unhealthy that only one party views this as an issue at the moment. hollywoodreporter.com/busine…

No difference between Christian nationalists like Joel and your average Taliban or Hamas guy- none.
Stood next my wife and told her exactly how to vote. For the record, zero “coercion” required. It brings her joy to aid her husband in crushing wicked men like James Talarico.

It’s sad to see how corrupted you’ve become by politics. You have been given the gift of a remarkable heritage and ministry. But like pearls thrown at swine, you choose instead to wallow in the gutter of the most hateful brand of politics, parroting Trump’s lies. Praying for you.
Do you know who to vote for in the midterms? Let me give you some help, but you decide. The Democratic Party wants open borders, while the Republican Party wants secure borders. The Democratic Party wants noncitizens to be able to vote; the Republican Party supports requiring voter ID. The Democratic Party wants to give taxpayer-funded benefits like healthcare to noncitizens; the Republican Party says No to that. And there are a hundred more issues. The choice is yours—but look prayerfully at what both parties stand for.

Republicans have spent weeks claiming the midterms are tightening and that things aren't as bad as they look. The new NYT poll says otherwise, and the most alarming numbers for the GOP aren’t in the top lines. The bottom is falling out for Trump. Link to my poll analysis below
