Predominantly male occupations exist, and employers are hiring. The trouble lies in finding men who are willing and able to take them. AEI's Brent Orrell and Keith Humphreys offer an important perspective on why so many men aren’t working in The Atlantic. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1…

Reminder that the Russians are creating a catastrophic situation in the Sahel which will drive refugees into North Africa and Europe.
Mali’s armed forces and the allied Russia-controlled Africa Corps have committed new atrocities against civilians in central Mali during renewed fighting. Concerned governments and international institutions should press the Malian authorities to conduct credible investigations into military abuses. hrw.org/news/2026/10/22/mali…

AIPAC is why your fantasy football team stinks. AIPAC is why the weather is bad. AIPAC is why you need an app to park. Say NO to Bernie’s obsessive scapegoating. YES to an America that works with our ally to create U.S. jobs, keep America safe, and promote democratic values.
AIPAC is now spending as much as $9 million against Abdul El-Sayed. AIPAC is why we’re at war in Iran. AIPAC is why the U.S. has supported genocide in Gaza. We must say NO to AIPAC. YES to electing Abdul as Michigan’s next U.S. Senator.

Three waves of ballistic missiles have been launched at Kyiv by Russian “humanitarians” since yesterday evening. They used 21 missiles. Unfortunately, numerous sites across the city have been hit and damaged: ordinary residential buildings, energy facilities, infrastructure at one of the railway stations and the metro, shopping malls, and businesses. Even a monastery is among the damaged sites. Our emergency services are working at all the affected locations. Twelve of our regions came under Russian attack overnight. In Kyiv and across the regions, 34 people were injured, including five children. As of now, two people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Almost immediately after another round of talks, Russia launched a pointed attack. This means there has been no real change in its attitude toward everything that is happening. It is important to keep trying to find the right solutions to end this war. But when Russia responds to negotiations with ballistic missiles, real pressure on Russia is needed to bring about different steps – steps toward ending the killing. Stronger air defenses and the rapid delivery of missiles, the ability to destroy ballistic missile launchers, sanctions over the war – all of this must be in place. I am grateful to everyone who sees the situation for what it is and acknowledges the reality. The aggressor deserves to be treated accordingly. Ukraine deserves support. People's lives deserve protection. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!

An India New Zealand T20. An England Sri Lanka ODI. And an Australia South Africa Test. All in one day. And the T20 was the least entertaining!

I'm honored to receive the endorsement of the Retired Police Association of the State of New York. These men and women dedicated their careers to protecting New Yorkers. They know what it takes to keep our communities safe, and I'm proud to have their support.

Cricket view: so Sri Lanka chase down 429 in 50 overs against England. India chase down 225 in 20 overs versus New Zealand. Is white ball cricket a contest between bat and ball any longer? Or just a manic run fest where bowlers are lambs to the slaughter?

Is it an overreaction that this fuckery fills me with incandescent rage?
"Gosh, why are the mummy displays so dark and opaque? Must be the lights are broken. I should go tell them downstairs," I thought to myself while recently wandering around the Redpath Museum at McGill University. Then I read the sign. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

The Gateway behind US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ambassador Sergio Gor was built by the British colonial government to commemorate King George V and Queen Mary’s 1911 royal visit to Bombay (Mumbai). Built to celebrate an empire that ruled India, the Gateway stands as a symbol of the colonial stranglehold we fought so hard to overthrow. It also serves as a timely reminder, a resolve that the neo-colonisers of our times must not be allowed to undermine India’s hard-earned independence and sovereignty. India is for Indians first. Our energy security, food security and data security — as well as the livelihoods and sustenance of our farmers — cannot be sacrificed for a few words of American flattery to a gullible Modi.

BREAKING: Israel has banned United Airlines pilot Sina Amjadian from flying aircraft into Israel after numerous pro-terror posts were found on his social media accounts. He praised Hezbollah and the regime in Iran. Would United let him fly their planes into New York City?
