Earlier today, the Miss Tourism Uganda queens paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, a moment to appreciate the Ministry for its continued support, guidance and commitment to nurturing tourism ambassadors who proudly carry Uganda’s story to the world.
Tourism is more than destinations, it is our people, our culture, our heritage and the stories we tell. With strong partnerships between the Ministry and Miss Tourism Uganda, we continue empowering young people to become passionate ambassadors for the Pearl of Africa.
Thank you, Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, for believing in the vision and consistently supporting the Miss Tourism Uganda journey. Together, we continue to #ExploreUganda and showcase the beauty of our nation.

Masterclass in Tourism, Leadership & Purpose.
An inspiring and empowering masterclass was led by Mr. Muwonge Umar, representing the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, during the Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 competition.
The session went beyond the crown,it challenged our contestants to understand that being a tourism queen comes with responsibility, knowledge and a commitment to promoting Uganda’s rich culture, heritage, wildlife and tourism potential.
Through such masterclasses, we are nurturing young women who are not only confident ambassadors, but also informed voices and champions for Uganda’s tourism industry.
The crown is a privilege, but the impact you create with it is the true legacy.

The @RwenzoriMarathn called, and we answered🏃♂️⛰️🔥
Just so you know, "Rwenzururu" literally means "the home of the snows." So the @RwenzoriMarathn is not just a marathon, it's a chance to explore the beauty of the home of the snows and experience the hospitality of its people, the Banyarwenzururu.

I was glad to launch the 10th Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo at Munyonyo today. Uganda remains one of the most unique tourism destinations because of our favourable climate, rich culture, peace and natural beauty.
Regarding Ebola, there is no cause for alarm. We are applying targeted measures and continuing to work scientifically to keep people safe while keeping our economy open.
As our economy grows towards upper-middle-income status, we shall also improve the tourism experience, including friendlier visa arrangements to attract more visitors. I therefore welcome the world to come and explore Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.
