ALT Slide describing horrible conditions of the most vulnerable defendants: Meagan Morris is alone in a maximum security pod, Rowan Gibson and Lucy Fowlkes are being housed in an infirmary cell with cooperating defendants, Maricela Rueda and Zachary Evetts are still in seg, being strip searched up to 3 times a day, Benjamin Song received a disciplinary from a female guard who illegally strip searched them, a PREA violation, who later lied about them not following orders. Their punishment: segregation and no visitation.

ALT Hello, I’m calling on behalf of people incarcerated here who are facing horrendous conditions. All of the Prairieland defendants need to be moved to general population immediately. Holding people in administrative seg violates due process. Are you aware of that? (Wait for response). Maricela Rueda and Zachary Evetts are being held in administrative seg yet they have no disciplinaries against them. They need to be placed in general population immediately. Are you aware that cross gender strip searches are a PREA violation? (wait for response). Then why are female guards bragging about stripping down male bodies? Why has Benjamin Song been strip searched by a female guard who later gave Song a disciplinary? Meagan Morris needs to be put in general population. As a trans woman, she is vulnerable being in a cell by herself and needs to be with other incarcerated people who do not have such power over her body.

ALT 8 of the federal defendants who were sentenced to outrageously long terms are ALSO a part of a larger group of defendants fighting state terrorism charges. In total 20 people are still fighting various state charges. 6 defendants' have trial dates set in the next 3 to 6 months. While appealing their unjust federal verdicts and sentences, these 8 defendants will also have to fight their state cases in Johnson County. We still need good state lawyers to fight these cases so continue to donate to the legal fund, host fundraisers, and spread the word about the case. One of the state defendants, Janette Goering, wrote a statement about the sentencing of the federal defendants. Here is her statement:

The website shows it was published June 25, 2026, tagged Defendant Writings. The statement reads: "From Prairieland to Delaney Hall, Health and Freedom to all of the families stolen by ICE. Hunger Striking is a brave and desperate action. Families being held indefinitely for months or years in horrible conditions must be free. The Nationwide Hunger Strike demands all urgency. I send my heart. Solidarity and support forever."
