People literally add the Google Site Kit plugin to their website, which comes with 2,009 files and over 80,000 lines of code just to add 20 lines of html to their <head> 14 of which are unnecessary, just so they can have Google Analytics on their website.
And they call me crazy.

Hardware wallets are super low-tech devices running extremely simple firmware. The only ongoing demand users have of the manufacturer is not to leak their data to bad actors. That the bitcoin space has fumbled something so basic is deeply embarrassing. You are not serious people.

As happened yesterday in Lugano, the beautiful Swiss city 🇨🇭 where #Bitcoin acceptance is already widespread.
Wife asks me to come along to a shop look at sthg. We like it, buy it. After paying up, the sales Lady pushes over a tablet:
“Please fill this in!”
Wife dutifully starts typing, but I take a look: personal information galore, so I ask the sales lady, “Äääh, why do you need that?”
“Oh”, she answers innocently, “just so you can be in our database.”

Clearly, “just” accepting Bitcoin is not enough. We need to orange-pill a much broader mind change.

De Baskische overheid en politie omschrijven de relschoppers in Bilbao als groepen jonge, radicale personen onder wie zich minderjarigen bevinden.
Volgens verklaringen van de Baskische minister van Veiligheid en de lokale autoriteiten droegen de groepsleden zwarte kleding en gezichtsbedekking om herkenning te voorkomen.
Een deel van de ongeveer twintig gearresteerde personen is minderjarig, en de politie geeft aan dat jongeren via sociale media zoals TikTok en Telegram zijn opgeroepen tot deelname.
De incidenten vonden plaats na afloop van vreedzame demonstraties van studenten en antifascistische collectieven tegen de komst van politicus Vito Quiles.
Na het vertrek van de demonstranten en de terugtrekking van de politie splitste een groep jongeren zich af om vernielingen aan te richten.
De politie onderzoekt momenteel netwerken die verband houden met een Europese trend genaamd Blocus. Via dit online netwerk worden instructies verspreid over kledingvoorschriften en het meebrengen van vuurwerk, pepperspray en brandbare stoffen.
