Basis on Ergo, aka digital blockchain based free banking predicted by @halfin is coming. We are addressing security reviews and updating offchain to support multiple tokens as reserves in a network. Then deployment with mcp and tui wallet, for initial testers we have already

We hope you can cover Lithos. It is live... a real decentralized pool. DATUM and StratumV2 also are still centralized in payouts / share handling. Here you build the blocks, contracts handle the non-custodial payouts, no operator. Worth a look. lithosprotocol.org/

Haven't really made a post in a while. Been hard at work, but you're gonna need to construct warehouses to store your colony's goods. Just Sayin. @the_ape_society
I feel like I owe it to folks to explain this video snippet and the long string of quote tweets preceding it. I know this is long, so if you need a TLDR, just ask Grok. Back on the old chain, one thing that genuinely inspired me was the OG @the_ape_society crafting system built by AF1. Craftsmen made kits, upper classes like artists refined them into higher-tier items, and the whole dynamic forced different classes to work together as an actual society. These items could be traded freely on marketplaces, and some players intentionally held raw kits to sell to others chasing the endgame (which back then was that official TAS physical card deck). AF1 nailed the concept of using Apes as foundational building blocks for creating ecosystem assets. I wanted that exact kit and crafting loop to anchor the blueprint system we were building for @tasamphitheatre. I occasionally bugged AF1 about it (and still do), but they understandably had their hands full. Then the chain migration hit. The underlying blockchain infrastructure, contracts, and dApps we built for @tasamphitheatre...developed with zero heads-up that a migration was coming...basically vanished overnight. We weren't the only community project caught off guard; it hit everyone. Even so, the core @tasaphitheatre group kept grinding. We kept developing assets, multiplayer scenes, game logic to keep the vision alive, and even refactored the Armoury dApp for a multichain setup. Building on EVM actually brought perks and had vastly better resources and documentation, letting us rebuild faster than before. Still, one glaring piece was missing: the crafting loop. With the foundation shifted, how could we reconnect Apes directly to the creation of @tasamphitheatre gear? Throwing up a lazy pay-to-play fee with zero depth felt completely hollow. If it isn’t fun, why bother? Over the years I’ve sunk some time into survival games, RPGs, MMOs, 4X strategy, RTS, and mobile. Each genre/platform has specific hooks and loops that immerse you and keep you playing. Looking at the Ape Society IP through that lens, the fit was obvious. I saw this fit in 2022 before I was even a holder. When you have classes spanning Nobles, Merchants, Craftsmen, Military Officers, Explorers and more set against a medieval, renaissance, and early industrial aesthetic, the gameplay possibilities are absolutely massive. Another mechanic the community has craved since the old-chain Cabins era was raw resources. Imagine settling a plot or tile, harvesting territory-specific materials, building out a settlement, and trading surpluses with other players....either onchain, offchain, or a hybrid of both. I originally set out to build a lightweight loop: a clean, mobile-accessible progression system and nothing more. But once I started tapping into modern dev workflows alongside what we had already built for @tasamphitheatre, i quickly realized that we could push the scope a little bit more aggressively. It became clear this had the legs to be something deeper, richer, and nostalgic, yet mechanically fresh. As a gamer myself, the last thing I want to do is drown players in friction and endless wallet popups. The goal is real immersion, mechanical depth, and meaningful strategy. Just as importantly, I don't want anyone inundated by mandatory NFT or token requirements just to boot up or progress through the game. "Soft" holder perks, tasteful unlocks, and subtle nods and easter eggs that do the IP and community justice that also spark genuine curiosity for the average player. Ultimately, whether or not people participate in the larger onchain economy of this "system" that is being built, I don't want to deprive anyone of a fun, immersive experience...they'll just be missing out on some of the "richness" of the experience, IYKYK. Whether you're deep in Web3 or just love deep games, the goal is to deliver this foundational crafting "system" as a genuinely rewarding and "rich" experience so we can proceed with completing what we originally set out to do, which is complete @tasamphitheatre. What you’re seeing on the timeline right now is very much a work in progress, and visuals and mechanics will certainly evolve as more polish comes in. The name for this crafting "system" is tentatively named "Apecraft".

A network’s security and censorship resistance depend on people who actually verify, propagate, and especially in PoW produce blocks.

The Ergonauts, Part 2. 'I can't code' isn't a reason to sit out. Run a node. Test a wallet and report the bug. Write the guide you wished you had. Translate it. Answer questions in the chat. $ergo is small enough that one person showing up actually moves something. Part 3 next week. Run a node. Take as much control of the network as you want.
