Happy to be offering $BVIV as a tradable perp on mullet. Nice work @volmexfinance
215,000+ BVIV Index perpetual futures contracts (~$8.38m) traded on @HyperliquidX since launch. Now working towards deeper liquidity. This is the next big unlock. BVIV everywhere. app.hyperliquid.xyz/trade/mk…

24h Market Check: $151B volume, +17%. open interest +1%. liquidations $177M, down 55% from yesterday. $EWZ perps got $12.5M rekt and USDBRL funding hit 0.91%, the highest rate on the board. The Brazil election results hit the perps market first before tradfi markets opened.

666 wallets have now each lost over $1M trading perps on hyperliquid. add the 219,103 traders liquidated in the last 24 hours and the its clear that the market is choppy. the survivors aren't betting bigger. they're reading funding, OI and the liq map before entry.

ELI5: market depth. depth = the money sitting in a market's order book (the list of live buy and sell offers) ready to absorb your trade. this week a $200K bet allegedly moved a senate market 17 points. check the depth before you trust the price.

$331M liquidated in 24h. 81% longs. 82,417 traders. but most were tradfi names: silver perps $23.5M rekt, gold $18.8M, SOXL $11.8M, sandisk $11.6M. largest single liq of the day: a $3.77M SOXL long on hyperliquid.

the wildest degen trade of the week wasn't onchain. $SOXL, the 3x leveraged semiconductor ETF, pulled in $6.1B of inflows in one week: the biggest in its history, double the old record. the same week, it fell 33%. its worst since march 2025. tradfi is buying triple leverage into a drawdown. (SOXL trades on mullet, for the record.)

"I think this trader celebrity thing is only for people who aren't real traders" Well said @wizardofsoho
I don’t really understand this … THe traders who make real money are all at hedge funds etc. My friends at citadel Brendan Howard .. millennium etc make 40-50mm a year consistently for years … Very common knowledge that the traders at the big hedge funds make 100mm+ Not a single one of them wants to be w celebrity … even John Paulson etc who made billions as traders only became famous cuz movies were made about them It seems the only “celebrity traders” are the one who made some money deploying rugs on pump fun and posted vlogs spending cash … A top 10 hype airdrop recipient who made $110mm on hype and another 20-30 consistent year after year on his account just bought a 40mm dollar house in palm beach near me. He has like 70 followers on twitter. lol I think this trader celebrity thing is only for people who aren’t real traders. It’s for young kids who don’t know what a real trader is and for them to scam their way to to wealth cuz they couldn’t as traders When I made real money I literally left nyc and moved to middle of nowhere in Midwest and Palm beach house for winter. No real trader who can make money from actual trading has ever wanted to be a celebrity or a content creator lol Nothing wrong with the guys who do.,, but let’s not confuse ?

the market flipped in 24 hours. $244M liquidated, 78% shorts. BTC shorts alone: $73.5M rekt vs $5.2M longs. hyperliquid's book ran 95% short. OI up 5.4% to $148B while funding sits near zero. Were still range bound, but have bounced after the recent sell off.

shorts pressed the bounce, the bounce pressed back. 24h liquidations: $296M, 57% shorts. hyperliquid's last 4 hours ran 91% short. largest single liq: an $11.9M BTC short at $83,275. OI flat at $140B, funding 0.007%. Feels like a coil ready to spring.

24h volume: $170B, up 62%. open interest: up 1.3%. funding: below neutral. and the shorts who faded the bounce paid the bill: $69M of ETH shorts rekt vs $42M longs, plus the day's largest single liq, an $11.8M ETH short on binance.

ELI5: pre-launch perps. a perp = a futures bet with no expiry date. pre-launch = the token doesn't trade anywhere yet, so the perp is a bet on its price before it exists. $PAPER can't even move between wallets yet. its pre-launch perp still did $6.2M volume, $0.012 to $0.035 in hours.

worth the read. the line isn't wealth creation vs speculation, it's informed risk vs blind risk. a trader who knows their funding, liquidation price and odds is not a lottery player. the tooling decides which one you create. xitter.cf/gametheorizing/status/…
Jeff drank a bit too much of his own Kool-Aid in this recent Odd Lots clip. I think it's important to clear up a distinction that makes all the difference. Democratizing access to wealth creation is NOT the same as democratizing access to speculation. Many of us genuinely want broader participation in attractive investment opportunities. The growing wealth inequality produced by the current system is tearing at the seams of society, something I've spoken about many times. But let's be clear: listing pre-IPO perpetual futures does absolutely nothing to democratize the wealth being created in private markets. I've seen this misleading narrative pushed repeatedly by perp DEXs lately, and it needs to be called out. A pre-IPO perp creates ZERO underlying wealth. It's a zero-sum contract before costs, and negative-sum after them. No capital flows to the company. No ownership changes hands. No new economic opportunity is created. Every long has a short. There is no free lunch in simply going long something before its IPO, and funding costs can even determine the outcome more than any price moves. TRADING access is NOT INVESTING access. In fact, in many ways pre-IPO perps are almost the antithesis of democratized access: They create the illusion of participation in private-market wealth creation, while actually offering retail a speculative instrument whose mechanics they are often poorly equipped to understand. The result is a playground for the FEW sophisticated traders who understand funding, oracle design, and liquidation mechanics to extract value from the MANY who don't. To give credit where it's due, Robinhood's efforts toward sourcing actual employee shares, placing them into SPVs, and tokenizing genuine spot ownership are much closer to meaningful democratization. That can unlock real economic value by allowing employees to exchange some of their expected upside for liquidity, while giving new investors actual economic exposure. A legitimate financial trade-off, without the funding-rate and liquidation shenanigans. I'm strongly aligned with expanding access to investment opportunities. And I believe advances in AI and blockchain can dramatically lower the barriers to discovering, structuring, and distributing them. But let's not BS ourselves that launching another zero-sum casino contract is moving the needle on wealth inequality. What would actually move the needle is bringing real capital formation and ownership onchain. Giving investors access to productive, illiquid assets like data centers, GPUs, and select startup investing, where capital can actually finance growth and share in the resulting value creation. These opportunities are harder to structure, underwrite, and bring to market, and we haven't seen many compelling implementations onchain yet. Hopefully this will change soon and, as the industry matures, we can direct more of our energy toward actually expanding access to wealth creation. Clip below. Was glad to see @tracyalloway push back on this framing, and to Jeff's credit, after this he does seem to walk back his original position somewhat.

ELI5: leverage. leverage = trading with borrowed size. 10x means your $100 controls $1,000. the catch: losses count against the full $1,000. a 10% move against you erases your $100. that's liquidation.

$PURR holders: the Nov 4 annual meeting has one vote that matters for your HYPE per share. Proposal 2. What it does, the dilution math, and what holders should ask for before voting After $1B raised through the Chardan equity line, sales below $12.02 are capped at 42.6M shares unless holders approve more. Prop 2 removes that cap. Nothing replaces it as a price floor. Chardan buys at 97.5% of VWAP (95% off-hours). At ~1.03x mNAV, new issuance barely breaks even for existing holders. Rough math on another $1B raised: • at 1.20x mNAV: +4.0% NAV/share • at 1.03x: ~flat • at 0.95x: −2.1% • at 0.85x: −5.2% Cash-adjusted HYPE per fully diluted share is roughly flat since launch (−2% to +7%, depending on whether the preferred has converted). Shares outstanding went from 237.9M on Sep 8 to 278.3M on Sep 30. Nobody's against the flywheel. Issuing at a premium is the whole point of a DAT. But before voting yes, holders should want: • no facility sales below fully diluted NAV, net of Chardan's discount • disclosure of how much of the cap is used • the Advisor's 5%/15% grant waiver confirmed • a renewed buyback If you hold: abstaining or not voting has no effect on Prop 2, and your broker can't vote it for you. Online deadline is 11:59pm ET Nov 3.

CT called papertrade a ponzi on day one. week one: $55M in revenue. roughly $6M a day, top 3 in all of crypto by fees. traders want new games, not new chains.

the sell off is not done. $149M liquidated in the last 4 hours, 84% longs. the last hour alone: $78M, 89% longs. hyperliquid's 4h liqs: 96% long. BTC back to top of the board with $79M rekt.

ELI5: stock perps. a perp = a futures contract with no expiry. you hold it by paying funding: a small fee swapped between longs and shorts, every 8 hours. stock perps track shares like TSLA, SpaceX or SK hynix, but trade 24/7 with leverage. With stock perps you do not own the underlying shares, you just trade the price index.
