Clearly you guys haven't had villas in coastal Europe, Caribbean, LatAM (or even nature US). We had a prime villa in Greece with an infinity pool, 3 beds facing the ocean for a fraction of hotel costs. Don't even get me started on Ibiza hotels.. Maybe Dubai is ok. Paris need
Death to Airbnb. Total hotel supremacy.

10 years ago a BMW 3 series would be ~$350/mo
Imo this is the biggest reason the average American is fucked financially. People are okay with paying way too much for overpriced cars. 600/mo is considered a “cheap” payment now

BREAKING: The number of restaurants in New York dropped ~2,000 YoY in Q1 2026, posting its largest YoY decline in at least 36 years. This surpasses even the worst contraction recorded in any quarter during the 2020 pandemic. The number of eating and drinking places in New York State has now declined YoY for 4 consecutive quarters, its longest streak since 2021. This comes as restaurants are facing surging operating expenses, including insurance premiums, wages, interest rates, utilities, and health coverage, with overall costs rising faster than national averages. Last year, employee health insurance costs jumped +12.9% for New York-area service firms, business insurance rose +7.0%, while utility costs surged +8.5%, according to the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. Skyrocketing costs are crushing New York restaurants.

This has contributed to most of my insomnia
The older I get, the more I realize that the single greatest challenge for any ambitious person is eliminating the guilt associated with free time and rest.

He’s like Murad but for space coins
This will sound super crazy, but I see a path to SpaceX being worth orders of magnitude more than the current Earth economy

Yes that is the goal tbh Because bankruptcy for them means more money for the casino No crying in the casino
What the f**k are we doing here… Is the goal to drive an entire generation of young men into bankruptcy As someone who started betting sports at a young age this kind of access could have ruined my life

The innovation of memes paired with X tokens (stocks, creator coins, perps) is a huge step in unlocking unlimited global liquidity Biketyson/APPL is akin to Steve Jobs creating the iPhone Biggest PMF in crypto since perps, you are not bullish enough

best trade ever was $TRUMP launch. omw to dinner when a friend calls and says check twitter, exit the garage and go back inside. didn't believe it at first but checked all his socials. we aped in $3-6 and cashed out low six figs bought a car the next week (held its value better than all my coins during the bear). going to that dinner would've been a terrible mistake
my best trade ever - not what u would expect...and i think it's a good lesson on risk management. i used to trade HTZ CDS, and all throughout 2019/2020 i kept getting lifted in HTZ frontend CDS...was always bank desks..and when those guys come in u basically know that they hedging stuff and u can sell at really good levels but basically i sold quite a lot to the point where my jump risk was pretty bad..to the tune of about $50m - ie, if hertz defaulted and the CDS triggered, i would lose $50m for weeks and week and weeks my boss told me to cut the risk, but i was just lazy and never really did, no one would sell it and i basically had to pay up quite a large amount that would have had a negative pnl effect for me so i was just apathetic about covering what was lazy risk then in march 2020 all the covid fears kicked off, and people started to panic on leisure-related companies etc...htz cds went a lot wider and the curve had started to flatten, i was basically losing like $200-300k a day on it and obviously my boss was livid coz he'd been telling me for weeks to cut it then we had that first crazy day where circuit breakers got triggered etc...and im basically panicking...i go round asking people for offers and then eventually someone shows me an offer (actually quite a well-known HF founder)...but it was a crazy high level...basically if i did the trade i was paying way way above market and it would have cost me $5m in pnl on that day alone but basically everyone including my boss was off the desk in a meeting and the guy was basically saying last look need to know now or he's going to pull the offer...and so basically i just lifted him...booked the trade...boss comes back to desk and sees my pnl like -$6m (i was down the most on the entire floor) and was like WTF did u do anyways next few days i continue to bleed, my pnl goes from being +$5M on the year to around -$10M...so $15M swing in just a few days...and then literally like a week after hertz defaults lmao even tho it's not a trade i've made money on, i consider it my best trade ever because i had to make a really aggressive decision to cut bad risk (that i should have cut long ago), and it saved me (and the bank) from losing a monstrous amount of money fortunately, COVID created the best trading environment ever seen for credit derivatives and not only did i make it all back but i ended the year up $40m. one thing that trading that market taught me (and i went through 6 different CDS auctions...ie companies defaulting)...sometimes u get urself into a bad position and u know in ur stomach it's a bad trade, but u don't do anything about it because u don't want to take the loss and ur just hoping for it to go higher...it goes from "ill sell it back at ATHS, to ill sell it at breakeven to ill sell it at a 20% loss" but each time you should have just been aggressive to move the risk even though the market is illiquid ok that's it cheers

I thought Solana was dead
Gradually, then suddenly @solana spot DEXs now regularly out-trade Coinbase, Bybit and Kraken on weekly volume. And the gap to the biggest venue keeps closing: ~15% of Binance's spot volume in early 2025 to ~30% today...

When you make business personal, you lose your objectivity
We’re ending our partnership with Cursor following its acquisition by SpaceX. Under our proposal, Cursor’s direct access to our models would end on November 12. We know that the people most affected by this decision are the developers who rely on OpenAI models in Cursor. We care about their experience in this transition and we’re ready to go above and beyond to support them. openai.com/index/our-decisio…

Nothing is too big to fail. Never give up Cursor is worth more than Nike now
Nike has lost nearly 80% of its market cap over the last 5 years. When the stock was near its peak, Ethan Strauss wrote the definitive take on how the company was fumbling the bag. They were a brand defined by Michael Jordan’s competitiveness and machismo, and with a heavily male customer base, they thought they could double in size if they could be that and also be Lululemon at the same time. But instead, they stopped being that while failing to be Lululemon and now, they are nothing. A bunch of upstart competitors ate their lunch while they destroyed their brand and reputation.
