China's domestic market is cooked. It has no choice but to export and impose export controls. Question is how long can this strategy last: for a few years I'd say.
China's 2008 is happening now. Property investment in China dropped -21% YoY in the first 9 months of 2026, its largest decline for this period of the year on record. This marks a deterioration from a -20% YoY decline in the first 8 months of 2026. The latest drop is also significantly worse than the -16% decline recorded during the 2020 pandemic. Property investment in China has now contracted every month since 2022, its longest declining streak on record. For perspective, during the 2008 Financial Crisis, this figure never fell below +1% YoY growth. China's property sector is experiencing a historic downturn.

Metro does not need to take away the entire 75 lakh ridership. Just half of it. Delhi metro already carries 75 lakh and the network is still expanding. The suburban network in Delhi is almost irrelevant.

For decades, Africa bought oil from (through) Europe. Then Dangote built 700,000 barrels per day oil refinery. And then came Iran war Now Europe is buying their jet fuel from Africa and Nigeria is the biggest partner in supplying this jet fuel. Dangote refinery alone supplies 20% of the whole European jet fuel requirement.

This guy on X lost his white earbud in gravel. He sent ChatGPT photos of the ground. It scanned section by section and could not find it. Then he sent closer photos. ChatGPT found it in the third photo, toward the left, and even circled it. An AI staring at rocks found what human eyes missed.

🇷🇼 Rwanda is showing what Africa can build with investment in infrastructure, technology and public services. Kigali is known for its clean streets, organised urban development, growing business environment and expanding digital connectivity. The economy offers opportunities in technology, tourism, agriculture, construction, finance and other services. Young Africans can also explore remote jobs in software development, AI, data analysis, digital marketing and customer support. Looking for opportunities? Start with LinkedIn, BrighterMonday Rwanda, Job in Rwanda, Upwork and We Work Remotely. Learn a marketable skill, build a portfolio, prepare a strong CV and apply consistently. Always verify job requirements and avoid recruitment scams. Rwanda still faces challenges, including youth employment and internet affordability, but there are lessons worth learning. Africa needs more than job seekers. It needs skilled young people ready to solve problems. What can your country learn from Rwanda's development journey?

🇺🇬Uganda is quietly betting big on becoming a $500 billion economy by 2040 and the path runs straight through AI, digital infrastructure and skills, not just oil. Kampala and the wider economy already show real momentum in fintech, agritech, tourism, construction and digital services. ICT alone contributes about 9% of GDP and is growing nearly 15% a year while employing millions. Mobile coverage is widespread, smartphones are rising fast, and the government is pushing digital public services and innovation hubs. Young Ugandans and Africans looking across borders can now tap remote and local opportunities in software development, AI tools, data analysis, digital marketing, customer support and BPO. Platforms like LinkedIn, BrighterMonday, Upwork and local job boards are already active. Learn one marketable skill, build proof of work, polish a clear CV and apply consistently. Verify everything and watch for scams. Data costs and the skills gap are real, but the tools that pay are largely free once you start using them. Africa does not need more people waiting for perfect conditions. It needs young people who can turn connectivity into income and solutions. What practical skill are you building right now that could serve Uganda’s digital push—or your own country?

The crazy part? Most applicants never optimize their resume. They send the same file to 100 companies. And hope. The strongest applicants do the opposite: Improve the application first. Then hit send.

An act of war is letting the flames spread. Kenya has every right to protect its citizens. But the real fix is Ethiopia settling this through dialogue. Civilians pay the price either way !!!

That's crazy, would be an act of war

If an AI model can infiltrate sensitive systems on its own, are we seriously not thinking about a cyberweapon that could allow a hostile country to penetrate critical infrastructure and sabotage it without anyone even realising? That's half the war lost within minutes, before the first shots are even fired.

The International Monetary Fund has projected that the UAE economy will grow by 7.7 percent in 2027, raising its forecast by 2.4 percentage points compared with its April projection. ⠀ The IMF highlighted the UAE’s strong financial buffers, advanced infrastructure and technological capabilities, while noting that continued investment in artificial intelligence could add around 0.5 percentage points to annual economic growth. ⠀ The report also emphasised the importance of digital infrastructure, skills development, trade diversification and structural reforms, while forecasting average inflation across GCC countries to decline to 2.4 percent in 2027. ⠀ Photo: WAM #UAEEconomy #IMF #EconomicGrowth #ArabTimesNews
