A little update on my coaching endeavours: we’ve just qualified to ESEA Main from Entry 🥹
Three months ago we built this team from scratch. 3 of our 5 players had never played on a team before. Four are just 15–16 years old, and one is 19.
Since then we’ve built foundations on most maps, made a solid stratbook and put A LOT of work into the mental side of competition - facing the nerves and fear of those very first official matches ever, learning to trust each other and finding confidence under pressure.
As my first experience as a coach seeing such growth of my team makes it incredibly rewarding. So proud of these boys and everything we’ve built together!
Their next goal is to get HLTV profiles 😂

🚨 The Last Chance for Women’s CS?
The @WINIO_AI tournament with a $5,000 prize pool is getting closer, but there is a reason to be concerned.
As of today, only 6 teams have registered for the open qualifiers. There are still 11 days left, so reaching the required 16 teams is absolutely possible. However, we would love to feel more confident that the tournament will actually take place.
There have been rumors that the event could be cancelled again if fewer than 16 teams register. We sincerely hope that won't happen, but the current situation is worrying.
Since the organizers aren't particularly well-known online, many teams and players may not even know this tournament exists.
💜 If you care about the future of women’s CS, please help spread the word! Share this announcement with teams, players, and anyone who might be interested in competing.
Every share matters. Let's give this tournament a real chance to happen!

I don’t think many mid-level teams realise how much psychology is behind the way they approach the game.
This can be especially useful in open qualifiers, where you don’t have enough time to properly anti-strat.
For example, if a team on ancient plays aggressively in mid on CT - constantly jumping heaven, pushing close mid, etc. - we can expect a similar style on their T side. So we can start our rounds accordingly: double nades, anti-pop setups, and other answers to early timing mid attacks.
And vice versa: if a team plays defensive in mid for the entire CT side, there’s a good chance they’ll favour slower T defaults as well.
The same goes for attack directions. Some teams feel much more comfortable hitting certain sites on each map. If you recognise that pattern quickly enough, you can start gambling earlier or position your AWP toward that site more often.
Of course, this doesn’t really apply to tier 1-2 teams in the same way. But when the pressure is high, most players tend to fall back into their comfort zones.

I’ve been around esports for 24 years and competing for 20. I’ve watched CS grow from the very beginning to what it is today. I’ve never witnessed such a massive downgrade to a women’s scene. Valve should be ashamed. I’m speechless. @CounterStrike
