Hon. Mike Gaffney MLC—responding to a motion calling on the gov’t to release updated Mac Point stadium cost estimates—quotes a recent @bj_stansfield op-ed and suggests that maybe it was clearheaded thinking that derailed his recent bid to become a senator #politas

"we call it field storytellers"
omg enough it's just fucking content creation. everyone has been doing it forever. you send a person with a camera to document a business. it's called making a video to promote your email job.
why does tech twitter feel the need to be so precious and rebrand this job every 20 minutes on here?
i'm sorry you aren't a forward-deployed heart feelings engineer. you're just someone who makes content for a saas business. i feel insane.
We’re building out a new program at @NotionHQ:
We call it field storytellers.
Where Internet filmmakers & creators meet local businesses. All around the world. They travel there to apprentice a business for a day/two, and come back with stories, documented and published.
Field storytelling is a bet that stories are best told and relationships are best built when it’s done out on the field.
If you’re great with a camera, love traveling to meet local businesses, and Internet savvy with an audience, reach out 🖤

Replying to @DrewPavlou
don’t agree with every inference here but also think Barrett’s appearance was contemptible and borderline disqualifying
can you all feel the social cohesion yet?
in which the new @AusFedPolice commissioner
- highlights a ‘laser focus’ on disrupting crimes that undermine democracy, sovereignty and social cohesion
- talks more about social cohesion
- rolls out new National Security Investigation Units to ‘investigate and disrupt extremist activity that falls short of terrorism but still poses significant security risks’
- notes the hate crime legislation pushed through after an Op; says the NSI Units will look for policy levers to pull

The RW version of USAID is deploying an army of social media grifters to places like Brazil and Serbia during elections
kudos to Josh Willie MP and Ella Haddad MP for this. Haddad MP has been pushing spending caps for years, and it's good to see them finally bought forward #politas
some will recall 2023 when Labor refused to move/support amendments in the LegCo, saying it was ‘unacceptable’ for another election to be held without donation laws, and promising further reform at the ‘earliest opportunity’
we've since had two elections anyway: 2024 with no state disclosure at all, and 2025 with the law switched on just 18 days before polling day—still no caps
here's hoping this is a precursor for more genuine leadership & decisions that are made on principle rather than political convenience

I’m speaking directly to the source who leaked this information to Matthew Cole: Your life as you know it is as good as over.
Take it from me, or any of us who spent years in prison because of him (Reality Winner, Terry Albury, the list goes on).
The White House is smart. They know Matthew Cole is sloppy with sources, and they know he is a coward who folds like a wet blanket. Barack Obama had his way with him. And Trump is about to do the same thing. To all Cole’s sources, best of luck when his book releases this week.
The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…
