Prem has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type II audit. We’re proud to share this with everyone building with us and considering Prem for their team. When you bring AI into your work, you’re also choosing a company to trust with part of that work. You need to understand how it manages security and whether its safeguards hold up in everyday operation. SOC 2 Type II provides an independent examination of that. An external auditor reviews the design of the controls included in the audit and tests how effectively they operated over a defined period. Those controls are the processes and technical safeguards used to manage risks to systems and data. The resulting report documents what was covered, how it was tested and what the auditor concluded. Your security and procurement teams can use that evidence when evaluating Prem against your organisation’s requirements. We build private AI because people should be able to use it with control over their data. This audit gives customers additional evidence to examine as they decide how Prem fits into their work. Thank you to the Prem team for the care and work that went into completing this audit.

If you’re building AI features that use private code, client documents or any sensitive data, you need to know where that information can be read while the model works with it. We don’t use your API prompts or responses to train models. With Prem’s Enclave API, the TypeScript SDK or local Confidential Proxy encrypts your request before sending it to our gateway. The gateway uses metadata, such as model choice and request size, to handle the call while the contents remain encrypted. On supported confidential routes, the request is decrypted inside a hardware-isolated enclave for inference. The hardware is designed to restrict the host’s access to the data while the model processes it. This limits where the sensitive content is readable, including keeping it encrypted as it passes through our gateway.

Bitcoin structured products are just getting started and will catch fire soon. STRC, SATA, and the first generation of Treasury products are only the spark. Capital markets are watching. If counterparty risk can be correctly underwritten they will eventually become mainstream.

Modern contracts are coming to Bitcoin. Define the logic in a high-level language, compile it, and call the contract from your app. Offchain execution through Arkade, with onchain spending paths and settlement on Bitcoin. Early days. More at Builder Lab on Oct 21. github.com/arkade-os/compile…

Super fast decisions for voice notes 🧠🗣️
Today, we’re excited to launch Premonition-Exp! We wanted to bring Jev-like decisions to audio workflows. A request can arrive as a voice note, with the details needed to evaluate it in a document or screenshot. We wanted a model that could work with those inputs together. So we added audio to DiffusionGemma. Premonition-Exp accepts text, images, video and audio, including mixed inputs in the same request, and returns structured decisions. For example, you can give it a spoken purchase request alongside an approval policy and ask whether it meets the requirements or needs review. We trained a 4.3M-parameter projector to connect an audio encoder to DiffusionGemma, keeping both the encoder and backbone frozen. It’s experimental, and we’re releasing the weights and model code for others to build on.

Open Weight models at service of Bitcoin companies!
We can finally share this! We’re bringing Bitcoin Red Team together with @LuganoPlanB on 22 October, right here in our home city. Super excited & looking forward to getting Bitcoin developers and security researchers in the same room to talk through how AI can help with security reviews, what still needs expert judgment, and what we can learn from recent incidents. Joining us are @Rob1Ham , @danielabrozzoni, @KLoaec, @MrKukks and @giacomozucco , alongside Federico N. and @suhanprabhu from Prem AI. If you build, maintain or review Bitcoin software, we’d love to have you there. Bring your questions and experiences. 22 October · 15:30–18:30 CEST @pow_space, Lugano · Sessions in English Request an invitation through the post below. Space is limited, and the hosts will review requests and confirm places.

Jev-compatible decisions are going beyond text. We’re bringing DiffusionGemma to Prem’s API for questions about text, images and short video, with zero data retention. See how it works and try your first API call.

A release giving you sovereign superiority. This has been many years coming, with the features added being requested for as long as @BtcpayServer has existed.
BTCPay Server 2.3 is out! 🚨 Starting today, you can charge merchants a subscription fee to use your BTCPay Server, making it sustainable for local enthusiasts to onboard businesses to accept Bitcoin while undercutting credit card fees and preserving merchant self-custody.

BITCOIN RAILS #45: ARK BEYOND PAYMENTS | with "Chief KOL" @bergealex4 @arklabsHQ 🔗 YOUTUBE: youtu.be/jgug6hFP7Wc 🌿 SPOTIFY: open.spotify.com/episode/48E… If you’ve been following the “Bitcoin Season II” meta for some time, you’re likely already following Bitcoin tech critic @bergealex4—formerly comms at @Blockstream and Layer-2 reporter for @BitcoinMagazine. A notorious contrarian, he’s known for being difficult to impress—and for having a soft spot for the Ark Protocol, which he sees as uniquely suited for trustless Bitcoin scaling and DeFi use cases (e.g. lending) more broadly. Alex made his relationship with the Ark protocol official earlier this year, joining the @arkade_os implementation team led by @ArkLabsHQ and @tierotiero. Taking a notably different approach to both engineering and product design than competitor @2nd (see last week’s episode with @stevenroose for comparison), Alex shares why the payments use case is “only the beginning” for the Ark protocol, and why Ark Labs intends to lead the charge on the protocol’s potential for Bitcoin-native DeFi. In this episode, Alex and I unpack: - How Alex’s experiences at Blockstream and Bitcoin Magazine shaped his views on governance, communication, and prepared him for the new wave of political disruption we're seeing in Bitcoin today. - Why the Payments use-case is only ONE application Ark Lab's Arkade implementation intends to support. - The trade-offs of introducing programmability into Ark: why expressiveness introduces operator dependencies, and how Arkade approaches minimizing (but not eliminating) those trust assumptions. - What Bitcoin-native capital markets could look like: synthetic exposure, structured products, and treasury-style use cases, designed to remain self-custodial once the technology matures. For anyone trying to understand the differences between competing Ark protocol implementations—this episode is a must watch. Highly recommend a side-by-side comparison with last week's episode with @stevenroose3 as well. This episode of Bitcoin Rails is powered by: - Best In Slot (@bestinslotxyz) — the leading API for Ordinals and BRC-20 data aggregation and indexing. - Spark (@lightspark) — a statechains implementation advancing Bitcoin-powered payments. - Citrea (@citrea_xyz) — a leading Bitcoin rollup technology and BitVM alliance contributor. 📌 Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 01:45 Alex’s Early Bitcoin Journey 02:59 Scaling Bitcoin and Community Involvement 08:11 Blockstream and the Block Size Wars 14:25 Transition to Bitcoin Magazine 21:10 Joining Arkade and Future Prospects 41:09 Key Difference Between Arkade and Second 43:59 Off-Chain Transactions and Operator Risks 46:11 Bitcoin Native Assets and Programmability 51:29 Synthetic Assets and Financial Products 56:01 Challenges and Opportunities in Bitcoin Programmability 01:04:38 Past and Future of Bitcoin Programmability

Retail and commerce are downstream of financial services. The future hinges on whether those services are open and decentralized, or locked behind centralized silos. @jackmallers gets it.
For what it's worth, I am working on all of these things. The medium of exchange stuff is difficult. I got the timing wrong, unfortunately. All of these things will happen, some will just take more time, and that's ok.
