Was the separate UAPA case, involving allegations of Chinese propaganda and foreign influence, outside the scope of that judgment and still ongoing?
Yes or No
Let me know if your answer to any one of these questions is “No.”

1/5 Sharjeel Imam has given an interview detailing his Islamist manifesto. Surprisingly, no storm has been kicked up over pronouncements that are so unapologetically anti-liberal, anti-secular, anti-democracy, anti-Constitution—in a word, anti-national.
2/5 He openly calls the Constitution fascist, labels secularism a trap, and denounces democracy as a contrivance to deny Muslims their political rights.
3/5 The piece is a litany of indictments against the liberal class. Imam rejects any difference between liberals and Hindutvadis. In his essentialist worldview, all Hindus are the same, unanimous in denying Muslims political power they claim as a divine right.
4/5 Inadvertently, Sharjeel has recognised something that liberals have been fighting shy of acknowledging: that Hindutva’s idea of India is anchored in the same “overarching nationalist framework”— that Muslims are Indians above all else.

Oleg Gordievsky (1938-2025) was a high-ranking Soviet KGB colonel who secretly acted as a double agent for Britain's MI6 during the Cold War. Recruited by MI6 in Denmark in 1972 (codenamed SUNBEAM), he passed vital secrets to the West for over a decade without asking for money, driven purely by ideology. He later rose to become the KGB Rezident (station chief) in London. During the tense 1983 Able Archer 83 NATO exercise, Gordievsky reassured Western leaders (including Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan) that the Soviets genuinely feared a preemptive nuclear strike, helping defuse a catastrophic miscalculation. He also vouched for Mikhail Gorbachev early on as a true reformer. He was unmasked in 1985 due to the betrayal of CIA mole Aldrich Ames, recalled to Moscow, and placed under interrogation and house arrest. British intelligence orchestrated a dramatic rescue (Operation Pimlico), sneaking him across the Soviet-Finnish border hidden in the boot of a diplomatic car...
One of Britain's most valuable spies escaped the Soviet Union concealed in a car boot. In July 1985, senior KGB officer Oleg Gordievsky was hiding from the intelligence service he had served for decades. His secret work for British intelligence had placed him in mortal danger, and Soviet authorities had recalled him from London under increasingly suspicious circumstances. With surveillance closing around him, MI6 activated a carefully prepared escape plan. Gordievsky had to reach the Finnish border without being discovered by the organization that had trained him to hunt spies.
Gordievsky had joined the KGB in the early 1960s and served in Soviet intelligence posts abroad, including Copenhagen and London. His political outlook changed as he witnessed Soviet actions in Eastern Europe, particularly the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. During the 1970s, he established a clandestine relationship with British intelligence. From inside the KGB, he supplied information about Soviet espionage, diplomatic operations and the Kremlin's understanding of Western intentions. His position became increasingly valuable as he rose through the Soviet intelligence establishment. By the mid-1980s, he was the KGB's most senior representative in London.
Among Gordievsky's most significant contributions was intelligence concerning Soviet fears during the 1983 NATO exercise Able Archer. Western governments initially underestimated the extent to which some Soviet officials interpreted the exercise as a possible preparation for nuclear attack. Gordievsky's reporting helped British officials understand the anxiety inside the Soviet security establishment. His information also gave Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher insight into Soviet political thinking during the early years of Mikhail Gorbachev's leadership. The danger for Gordievsky was that every promotion increased both his value as a source and the consequences if Moscow discovered his deception.
In May 1985, he was unexpectedly ordered back to the Soviet Union. He suspected that the KGB had begun questioning his loyalty. Later evidence pointed toward American CIA officer Aldrich Ames, who was secretly supplying information to Moscow, as a major source of the compromise. Once back in Moscow, Gordievsky was subjected to questioning and surveillance. He later described being drugged during an interrogation attempt, although some details of that experience rest on his own recollections. Soviet officials did not immediately arrest him, leaving him in the agonizing position of knowing that his freedom might be temporary. Escape required activating a plan prepared years earlier.

Two points.

But they were more lucky with Mayavati largesse than with BJP largesse
See here
They for 20000 sq meter land allotted by Mayavati in Noida for defending her in Noida land scam
They paid for that land Rs 3cr. Today's it is worth believe it
Rs 1300-1400 cr
They also evaded stamp duty of Rs 1.35 cr while buying land in Allahabad Civil lines. The court directed them to pay it
Prashant Bhushan who has got this illgotten wealth is the man fighting for democracy and against Corruption
What a shame? How shameless he is ?
Read on for more details
The public and legal controversies surrounding Shanti Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan involve specific land transactions and legal actions that became subjects of intense political and legal scrutiny, particularly during their involvement with the anti-corruption movement (India Against Corruption).
1. Land and Property Controversies
• The Palampur Tea Garden Land Case (Himachal Pradesh):
In 2010, the Kumud Bhushan Education Society (a trust run by the Bhushan family) was granted permission by the then-BJP government to purchase 4.66 hectares of tea garden land in Palampur for setting up an educational institution.
Political opponents later alleged that the land was acquired at highly discounted prices. Under Section 118 of the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, land-use for tea gardens cannot easily be modified.
In September 2014, following a probe initiated under the Congress state administration, the local administration ordered the vesting of the land and its buildings back to the state government, citing a failure to utilize the land for its designated educational purpose within the stipulated timeframe.
Noida Farmhouse Allotments (Uttar Pradesh):
In 2011, it emerged that Shanti Bhushan and his other son, Jayant Bhushan, were allotted two 10,000-square-meter plots of land in Noida by the Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh government under a discretionary farmhouse development scheme in 2009. Critics flagged a potential conflict of interest, noting that Jayant Bhushan had been appearing as a lawyer against the Mayawati government in a high-profile local park case. The Bhushans maintained that the application followed standard regulations and denied any wrongdoing.
Indian Express reported on 14.12.2011 that the CAG audit found rules were flouted for allotment of 20000 sq meter land to Bhushans and excheque lost Rs 145.8 cr
They paid a subsidised price of Rs 3 cr for the land.
In Today's value AI says the loss to the exchequer represents atleast Rs 1300-1400.cr
• Allahabad Property Stamp Duty Case:
In 2011, civil authorities in Allahabad ruled that Shanti Bhushan had evaded ₹1.35 crore in stamp duty during his purchase of a historical property in Civil Lines, Allahabad.
The Assistant Stamp Commissioner ordered him to pay the outstanding duty along with a monetary penalty. Shanti Bhushan contested the ruling, labeling it a legally flawed order driven by political pressure.

The best Japanese admiral of WW2 wasn't Yamamoto. It was a destroyer commander the Americans nicknamed "Tenacious Tanaka."
Rear Admiral Raizo Tanaka.
No carriers. No battleships. Just a squadron of destroyers, a stack of the best torpedoes in the world, and a nearly impossible job.
August 1942. US Marines have landed on Guadalcanal and grabbed the airfield. Japan needs to land troops and supplies on the island to take it back. But American planes from that airfield own the skies during the day. Any Japanese transport caught in daylight gets sunk.
So Tanaka moves at night.
His destroyers race down "the Slot," the channel through the Solomon Islands, arrive off Guadalcanal after dark, unload, and are gone before dawn. Over and over. Night after night. The Marines started calling it the "Tokyo Express." It ran so regularly you could almost set a watch by it.
Destroyers aren't cargo ships, though. So Tanaka's men got creative. They packed supplies into steel drums, roped the drums together, and pushed them overboard near shore so troops could swim out and haul them in. Destroyers built to fight were now delivering groceries under fire.
Then came the night of November 30, 1942.
Tanaka is heading for Guadalcanal with eight destroyers. Six of them are loaded down with supply drums, decks cluttered, not ready for a fight. He's told to expect trouble.
Trouble is waiting. An American task force of five cruisers and six destroyers under Rear Admiral Carleton Wright. The Americans have radar. The Japanese don't. Wright detects Tanaka first. On paper, this should be a massacre.
But the Americans hesitate before firing torpedoes. When they do open fire, they pour almost everything into one Japanese destroyer, Takanami, and quickly sink it.
The muzzle flashes give the American cruisers away.
Tanaka doesn't panic. His crews have trained for exactly this. Within minutes, his destroyers fire spreads of Type 93 torpedoes, the weapon the Americans would later call the "Long Lance." Huge, fast, running on pure oxygen so they left almost no wake, and with a range far beyond anything the US Navy thought was possible.
The torpedoes come out of the dark.
USS Minneapolis is hit and loses her bow. USS New Orleans takes a hit that sets off a magazine and blows off her entire bow, nearly 150 feet of ship. USS Pensacola is hit and burns. USS Northampton takes two torpedoes and sinks.
In about half an hour, a force of half-loaded destroyers had crippled or sunk four heavy cruisers. Around 400 Americans were killed. Japan lost one destroyer.
The Battle of Tassafaronga is still considered one of the worst US Navy defeats of the war. Even the official American naval historian later praised Tanaka for it.
And here's the twist.
Tanaka understood something his bosses refused to accept. Guadalcanal was lost. Feeding an island by throwing drums off destroyers wasn't a strategy. It was a slow bleed of ships and men Japan couldn't replace. He said so.
In December 1942, after his flagship was sunk and he was wounded, he was removed from command. He never commanded at sea again. He spent the rest of the war in shore assignments, sidelined.
Two months later, Japan evacuated Guadalcanal.
Tanaka survived the war and lived until 1969. The man the Americans respected most was the one his own navy didn't want to listen to.

Rolls-Royce may be slowly moving beyond the Safran conundrum.
1. Strategic partnership with reliance.
2. Offer of IP & Entire engine complex
So, the ambition is no longer just to manufacture an AMCA engine in India, but to build a sovereign aero-gas-turbine ecosystem with Indian ownership of design and IP.
If realised, this could fundamentally decouple fighter procurement from engine dependence. India could eventually choose its fighters & engines independently.

Legends like him are so rare!
In June 1942, the most famous admiral in the US Navy was lying in a hospital bed in Pearl Harbor, covered in a skin disease so bad he couldn't sleep.
Bill Halsey was supposed to lead America's carriers into the biggest gamble of the Pacific War. Instead, he told Nimitz to give the job to Raymond Spruance.
Spruance was a cruiser admiral. Not a pilot. He had never commanded a carrier, never led an air battle, and now he was being handed two of the three flattops America had left in the Pacific, with Japan coming for Midway.
On the morning of June 4, he made the call that decided the war. Instead of waiting to close the distance, he launched nearly everything he had at long range, as early as he could, before the Japanese could hit him first. It was a huge risk. Planes would run low on fuel. Some never made it back.
By the end of the day, four Japanese carriers were burning. Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu. Four of the six that attacked Pearl Harbor, gone in a single day.
Then came the part almost nobody talks about.
That night, every instinct said chase them. Finish it. But Spruance knew Yamamoto's battleships were out there, and in the dark his carriers would be sitting ducks against big guns. So he turned east and pulled back. Yamamoto was in fact steaming toward him hoping for a night fight. He never got it.
Spruance won the battle and then refused to lose it.
After Midway, Nimitz made him his chief of staff. The two men lived in the same quarters at Pearl and went on long walks together almost every day. Spruance was famous for those walks. Miles a day, rain or shine, thinking through the war.
Then Nimitz gave him the Fifth Fleet, and Spruance ran the Central Pacific drive. Tarawa. Kwajalein. Saipan. Iwo Jima. Okinawa.
Here's a detail most people don't know. The Navy used the same ships for two fleets. When Halsey was in command, it was Third Fleet. When Spruance took over, the exact same ships became Fifth Fleet. One admiral fought while the other planned the next campaign.
In June 1944 at the Philippine Sea, Japan threw its rebuilt carrier air force at him. American pilots shot down so many planes it got nicknamed the Great Marianas Turkey Shoot. Japanese naval aviation never recovered. Three more enemy carriers went to the bottom.
And he still got criticized. Aviators were furious he didn't charge west to chase the Japanese fleet. But his orders were to protect the Saipan landings, and he would not leave thousands of Marines exposed for a chance at glory.
Four months later at Leyte Gulf, Halsey did exactly what Spruance refused to do. He took the bait, chased a decoy force of Japanese carriers, and left an entire landing force nearly undefended. A handful of destroyers and escort carriers had to fight off Japanese battleships on their own.
Suddenly Spruance's caution didn't look so cautious anymore.
Off Okinawa in 1945, a kamikaze slammed into his flagship, USS Indianapolis. He moved to the battleship New Mexico. A few weeks later, kamikazes hit that one too. He kept commanding.
After the war, Congress had a limited number of five-star slots. Halsey got the fifth star. Spruance didn't. Congress later passed a law giving him full admiral's pay for life, which was basically an admission that he'd been shorted.
He never wrote a memoir. Never did the press tour. Never fought for his own legacy. He ran the Naval War College, served as ambassador to the Philippines, and went home.
When he died in 1969, he was buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery. Right next to him are Chester Nimitz, Kelly Turner, and Charles Lockwood. The four of them arranged it years earlier so they could rest together.
The quietest admiral of the war won its most important battle and then spent the rest of his life letting other people take the credit.
His name was Raymond Spruance. Remember it.
Watch out!!!!
