Je me réjouis de faire connaître à l’opinion que le système de santé camerounais vient d’enregistrer une avancée majeure pour la cardiologie, jamais vue encore en Afrique subsaharienne.
En effet, l’Hôpital général de Douala a réalisé avec succès son tout premier TAVI (Implantation Valvulaire Aortique par Cathéter) chez un patient de 70 ans à haut risque opératoire.
Il s’agit d’une prouesse médicale qui témoigne du renforcement de notre plateau technique et de l’expertise de nos équipes.
Au nom de Monsieur le Président de la République, S.E. Paul BIYA, et de son Gouvernement, je félicite le top management de cet hôpital ainsi que l’ensemble des équipes qui ont effectué cette délicate opération. Je suis très fier de vous.
