This Alaska ANG HC-130J 16-873 is heading from Marrakesh tomorrow to #RAFMildenhall. I guess it will stay at least one night.
A lot of news here at #Marrakesh2026 if you talk to the right people. The most prominent being this #RMAF #Airbus C295 that was delivered in late-September to Kenitra. The biggest winners here though are...Korean Aerospace Industries...
The Czech police estimate there were 150,000 people at #NATOAirDays. The bulk, 92,000 were on Saturday. Another 2,000 or so were outside taking pictures. The stallholders must have loved it. I noted a 2-3 hour queue to look in the @LockheedMartin F-35A full scale replica!
The CzAF also showed off three #Rafael SPYDER GBAD/SAM systems - two medium range and one short range. Seems like a longer range system is now also an option. @jagello2000
Been a great weekend at #NATOAirDays. Weather stayed nice and there was some really interesting exhibits including this FA-50GF of the #PolishAF. Others include a Lithuanian UH-60M, Hungarian H145M in KFOR marks and a Czech AH-1Z fitted with AIM-9 Sidewinder. @jagello2000
A nice relaxing four hour taxi drive to Cairo this morning after nearly a week at El Alamein airshow. Terrific participation by the #EgyptianAirForce in the static display. Chinese and Russians too. 😊
The #EgyptianInternationalAirShow has attracted several stunning Chinese military exhibits. This KJ-500 AWACS looked great this evening, as did the YY-20 air to air refueller, Z-20 helicopter and J-16 (like a Su-30). All had participated in exercise with Egyptian military.
Saab presented a full scale replica of the prototype Autonomous Collaborative Programme (ACP) at the Jubilee Airshow at Linköping over weekend. You could call it an up market CCA, that should fly around 2031 after the two demonstraters have made first flights.

Un F-18 español derribo esta noche un dron que violó el eso sin aéreo de Rumanía.
În noaptea de 15 spre 16 august, la ora 04.44, sistemele de supraveghere ale Ministerului Apărării Naționale au detectat pătrunderea unei ținte aeriene în spațiul aerian național, dinspre Republica Moldova, la aproximativ 24 km nord de Galați.
O aeronavă F-18 a Forțelor Aeriene și Spațiale Spaniole, care execută Serviciul de Luptă Poliție Aeriană la Baza 57 Aeriană „Mihail Kogălniceanu”, aflată în misiune de monitorizare, a realizat contact radar cu ținta și a primit aprobarea de angajare. Drona a fost doborâtă în condiții de siguranță de aeronava F-18, la ora 05.01.

Visted Namest on Wednesday for the Czech Air Force command hand over ceremony. Brig Gen Petr Tomanek is the new chief. He told me his top priorities are to strengthen Czechia's air defences and increase international co-operation. Note the CzAF Rafael SPYDER air defence system.
The first of two #Embraer #KC-390 for the #CzechAirForce has just arrived at Kbely where they will be based. Light wasn't brilliant, but it's history. :) Still wearing Brazilian registration PT-CNM and all Czech insignia taped over until official handover in mid-July.
Was impressed with the three different configured L410s in the #KbelyAirBase flying display which was unusual. In the static display this beautiful L410FG stood out for me. 2/2
After five days at @ILA_Berlin, where there was some great stories. Finding out more about the #Hensfoldt inspired #Pegasus being one for @Team_Luftwaffe being one. Then hot-footedto Prague on Friday night to attend the #CzechAirForce #KbelyAirBase families day on Saturday. 1/2
A lengthy 11 hour drive from Prague to Nordholz in northern Germany yesterday finished next to this preserved German Navy 'Peace Peek' Atlantic. If memory serves me right only two had this sneaky beaky fit. #Marineflieger. Had put @AirForcesMonthly to press the day before.

Three more B-1s have just arrived at #RAFFairford, the place is looking like a proper bomber base now with six B-52s and 12 B-1s now in situ. Three B-1s flew a mission earlier in the week. Not surprisingly parking restrictions are in place around the base.
Yes, AFM came up with that conclusion when we looked at Venezuela and the capture of Maduro. Needless to say it wasn't just a lack of proficiency on the Russian systems but it contributed.
