Increased again today as per the original tweet. Since the period we outlined earlier this month for the tornado rally started, we have had 109 tornadoes. Today and tomorrow may bring this last, strongest period to 200

Weekend blocky pattern (you can see how the lows slow down and spin in one place for a bit) taking shape with some good and bad news. Remember I look at this from meteorological perspectives not just sunshine versus rain. That said, the good news looks like we are setting up some much needed drought relief for the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic, Florida, as well as NM and the TX Panhandle. The bad news we never really dry out in OK and north TX where we have had recent heavy rain and RECORD and near record crests. 6 rivers/creeks are in MAJOR flood.
These types of patterns aren't easy to predict, so given its only Thursday, there is still plenty of time for some adjustment.
However, guidance has come much closer to similar solutions. Florida finally gets rid of the daily dry ridge and more clouds, showers and thunderstorms will gradually increase as we begin the weekend. @weatherbell
