think people are seriously underestimating how important that is
Memes in crypto get a bad rep, and often for good reason. Grifters, scams, cringe culture, and plenty of questionable characters.
But I still believe memes are one of the easiest ways to bring attention to an ecosystem like NEAR.
They spark conversations, attract new users, and give people a reason to actually try a chain, create a wallet, and start trading.
The challenge is building a meme culture that doesn't just repeat the same cycle of hype and extraction.
Maybe the answer is leaning more into utility-driven memes, real communities, and projects that actually contribute something to the ecosystem.
