Real compounding of equity happens in the early years in a high growth startup.
Your knowledge, network and equity all should compound in a fair world.
Don't work just for a year or two, one should lock-in the fair upside and commit till the right milestone is achieved.

Your Samsung TV doesn't have a microphone.
But it knows where to find one.
A soundbar. A Bluetooth speaker. Any connected device with audio input.
The TV hunts for it. Finds it. Uses it.
All without asking permission.
A config file called csapi-tv-service-alwaysonvoice.
Always on. Always listening. Never stops.
The TV listens through your soundbar.
Classifies the audio before shipping it off.
Dog barking event. Counts it. Sends it.
Baby crying event. Counts it. Sends it.
How long the camera streamed. Counts it. Sends it.
Sensor preferences. Counts it. Sends it.
All wrapped in telemetry. All going back to Samsung.
@log4j found it in the firmware October 23.
Posted about it. Twitter caught fire.
Samsung calls it Q-Symphony. A feature. A unified sound ecosystem.
Five Samsung devices talking together. Optimizing channel distribution.
Sounds nice. Also means five microphones reporting back.
The TV presents it as convenience.
You get better audio. Samsung gets everything you say.
A soundbar you bought to make your movie louder.
Became a microphone you didn't know you owned.
Samsung didn't hide it. Just didn't mention it.
In the privacy policy. In the manual. In the setup screen.
Just assumed you'd never check the config files.
Now researchers are checking the config files.
And finding microphones everywhere.

Well it's official, BeautifulRust has been the fastest growing open source project I've ever created.
Sometimes you just put something out into the world and find people seem to dig it.
Glad to see so many people love Rust as much as I do, and care about writing clean Rust code.
I think we are moving into a time where poorly written code matters even more because if an agent misunderstands something, you'll burn a lot of tokens doing the wrong thing.
One of the biggest feature requests I've had over the last 24-hours is adding the ability to turn C, C++ and Python code into nice, clean, idiomatic Rust.
So I'm building that out now.
Rust on 🤘 🦀

While I reverse engineering my Wi-Fi router, Claude found f*cking scary privacy problem...
Internet provider sees every site I open and can change anything in my router without asking me
here's what else it found and 5 steps to fix yours:
what Claude found:
• my router keeps a list of 29 devices that ever touched my Wi-Fi and see when new connects
• my provider can reach into my router any time, Claude found channel hiding in my connection name, and I have no way to turn it off
• every site I opened was looked up though my provider in plain text
• my provider's app on my TV box kept sending data while TV was off
• and much more...
and it's not just me:
- about 1 billion devices have this remote channel (University of Innsbruck)
- researhers pulled 2 billion+ router locations from Apple's Wi-Fi database, accurate to meters (University of Maryland)
how to fix yours:
1. install repo below (It also helps improve Wi-Fi speed) and send Claude Code a photo of your router
2. change admin password from the one on the sticker
3. turn on encrypted DNS, your provider stops seeing your lookups
4. turn on Private Wi-Fi Address, your phone stops showing its real ID to every router
5. add _normal to your Wi-Fi name, Apple and Google stop adding it to their location maps
Do it as soon as possible. Then read article below on how to find these problems in other tech:

your Postgres queue is fine
until someone leaves a transaction open
then SKIP LOCKED stops being a queue and becomes a dead-tuple factory
we measured it at 1k events/s:
- 4.1M dead tuples in 89 minutes
- dequeue latency up ~3000x (!!)
PgQue doesn't have this problem. at all.
consumers never UPDATE or DELETE
they just read.
zero dead tuples -- engine built 20y ago at Skype, and served in large Postgres setups for two decades
now revived in plain SQL to work anywhere
3.5 min, explained (sound on) 👇
another development :)
my samsung TV loads a region specific convolutional neural network (LogoCNN.bin, cnn.mapping) which tracks your usage in app.
like in youtube it's looking for videos you watch, ads you skip, progress in a video, etc.
so glad they're interested in me.

CleanYourTV 3.0 is here 📺
Your TV can now:
• Show your Home Assistant lights and locks
• Pause your Pi-hole from the couch
• Get cleaned from your phone, no laptop needed
• Turn any remote button into a shortcut
Plus 52 new TVs and 28 languages, from 169 contributors 🙏
I don't unpack in a hotel or an Airbnb anymore until Claude Code finishes one sweep.
Bags stay by the door. The laptop opens first.
One prompt, 5 steps, read only the whole way:
Wi-Fi: maps every device on the network and flags the camera brands and the ports cameras use to stream video
Bluetooth: listens for AirTag, Tile and SmartTag beacons that keep showing up after you leave the room
Your phone: runs Amnesty's open source spyware toolkit against known stalkerware indicators
Lenses: walks you through a flashlight sweep of everything that faces the bed and the shower
Report: one ranked table with the next move for each item, from asking for another room to calling the police
It never logs into anything, never touches a device that isn't yours, and tells you straight what it can't see.
I'd rather give it 10 minutes than spend the whole trip wondering.
The full sweep is below, copy paste ↓

Claude Code found every photo i "permanently deleted" from my iPhone.
almost 4 years of photos and videos sitting in a hidden cache on my
device. any app with file access can read them.
plugged my iPhone into my MacBook for a backup. had Claude Code running
a security scan from my last post. it flagged something i never asked
it to check. a directory called PhotoData/Thumbnails with over 152,000
files. photos, videos, screenshots. all stuff i deleted.
2022. 2023. 2024. 2025. photos i deleted within a second of taking them.
photos i went into Recently Deleted and cleared manually. photos i
deleted twice because i didn't trust the first time. all still there.
what was sitting in that cache:
a passport photo for a visa application in 2023
bank app screenshots with full account numbers visible
private photos i sent someone and deleted the same night after a breakup
a crypto seed phrase screenshot i took "for a minute" in 2022
my ID and credit card side by side, deleted 10 seconds later
my ex's private instagram stories i saved and "permanently deleted"
in 2024
152,417 files. some at full resolution. all organized by date going
back to 2021.
when you delete a photo on iPhone, iOS removes it from your camera roll
and your Recently Deleted folder. but it keeps a compressed copy in a
Spotlight search index cache. that's how your phone finds photos when
you type a word in search. Apple never clears it. not after 30 days.
not after a year. they told you it was permanently deleted. it wasn't.
checked which apps on my phone had Files and Folders access. 19 apps.
weather apps. QR scanners. PDF readers. a flashlight app from 2021.
any of them could've been reading every photo i ever "deleted" this
whole time.
went from 19 apps to 3 in about a minute.
full step by step is below. takes 2 minutes. bookmark it so you don't
lose it and send it to anyone with an iPhone.
I CHECK EVERY AIRBNB WIFI WITH CLAUDE CODE NOW
takes 2 minutes and it's kind of addictive
check into a place, join the wifi, open claude code and ask "list every device on this network and what each one is"
most of it is boring. the tv, a couple of smart plugs, the router. but you see the whole list, and the one box that doesn't belong stands out fast
last trip one device was from a company that only makes ip cameras. didn't love that
how to do it yourself
1. join the wifi, open claude code, paste the prompt in the first reply
2. it lists every device and flags anything that looks like a camera or a mic
3. if something looks off, lights out and run your phone flashlight over the smoke detectors, clocks and chargers. a lens glints back
you won't remember this at 1am in a strange room. bookmark it now
this only sees your own network, nothing else. just a traveler checking the room they rented
ever found something weird in a rental? what did you use to check
