If you don’t want to work on weekends, someone who loves what they’re building more than you do will. And they’ll mog you big time.
Revolut's (@Revolut) Nik Storonsky (@NikStoronsky) says working weekends is a must "Purely statistical" when he started, there were 140 startups around him. 5 years later, 3 survived "They all worked on weekends" 10 years in, only 2 were left "how can you outcompete people who work nine to nine, 6 days a week?" via @davidsenra Weekend work for founders: must or myth?

Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky says easy money makes soft founders: “A lot of founders think money is free, which it almost is in California because you can raise so much money at ridiculous valuations and then just spend.” “There is a different culture of trying to solve problems with money rather than with your brains.”

I have been asked an unhealthy number of times how big the creator monetization industry is, and how big it can get… Again, It’s this bigggggg 😁
Whop has raised $200M in Series D funding at a $5.1B valuation, backed by @sequoia and @shopify. It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine. We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there. Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day. Who cares, tiny market. But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one. Beyond the investment itself, I am especially excited to welcome legendary silicon valley investor @dougleone to our board of directors. Doug and the sequoia team are nothing but a brilliant, resourceful, and principled group of people. My co-founder Cameron and I started building on Shopify when we were 13 years old. Shopify is one of the most impactful all-in-one cloud ecosystems ever created; @tobi has pioneered modern entrepreneurship the way we know it and we are thrilled to have him in our corner. We have a tenet at Whop to be the dumbest in the room and I am very grateful that this has recently become a lot easier. We are focused on markets, scale economies, and progressive media. If that is up your alley, please message me directly. The $200M raised will support our expansion as we build economic infrastructure for the next century, continuing on our mission of delivering everyone an income.

Spoke to a couple of users just last month and this was one of the core pieces of feedback we had even as they shared their testimonials. Shared it with product & engineering and less than two weeks later, the team is actively working towards shipping this already. 🧏🏾‍♂️🧏🏾‍♂️

Important note regarding Grok @Bot: Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs. Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.

Most companies take two weeks to do what @elonmusk does in an hour. Elon hired a machinist, negotiated his salary, and had him start — all in one conversation. On a Saturday at 6 PM.
