The future of affordable clean energy is decentralized ☀️🔋
We sat down with @iChristwin of @M3tering & @whyNotSwitch to explore how blockchain can help end energy poverty in Africa and build a community-owned power grid for 1B people 🌐💡
🎧Listen: cryptoaltruists.com/blog/cry…
We discuss:
⚡️ How tokenized energy assets & stablecoins built on Ethereum can unlock affordable solar energy where grids fall short
🤝 The role of smart contracts in creating efficient, auditable payment & revenue systems for community-owned grids
⛓️ How blockchain can increase trust & transparency in energy grids, while reducing costs & shifting ownership to the people
⚙️ Bridging the physical & digital with crypto-powered hardware meters

We are happy to contribute to this effort by @SolarpunkNomads to help people in Ukraine access solar power & light. Thank you, @Marcobear_eth for your coordination & determination to make this happen ☀️
We are happy to share that we have successfully delivered 1.500 euro worth of humanitarian aid to @gen_ukraine ❤️
A detailed report on the mission will come out later in November!
Thanks to everyone who helped us on the way, including our contributing partners at @Solar_FND.

Incredibly grateful to meet and hang out with the @whyNotSwitch team. Many teams blow smoke about real world use cases while this team builds and innovates solutions for the problems Nigerians and many across Africa face everyday. A strong team with a bright future.
@jhruth from @Solar_FND met up with the team @whyNotSwitch
Over the Weekend, we discussed the impacts of Solar microgrids in Enugu and beyond.
It was amazing as we brainstormed on the go, visiting different sites and talking about the use cases of Blockchain in Solar tech.
