Truck parking is full and there's nowhere for folks to be at our closure points. Because of this, we're asking that drivers do not head toward the closures and instead wait where you'll have resources until the highway is reopened. TripCheck.com for updates. #orwx

One of the reasons I haven’t been too worried about #CampCreekFire. Fog, drizzle, and temperatures in 60s today…even wetter the next 4 days. This is about 10 miles from fire

David is doing all of the right things to rebuild his life but he still can’t find an affordable apartment in Portland. He even thought about turning down a raise at his new job just so he could qualify for subsidized housing. He will stay at Blanchet House until he can find a landlord willing to take a chance on someone with no rental history and imperfect credit. Competition for housing is fierce. How do we expect people to improve their lives without giving them a chance? David’s struggle is way too common in Portland right now.

Starting today, we're lifting our 45 mph temporary speed reduction on US 26 between the junction with OR 216 and where the highway crosses the #WarmSprings River. Please use caution around our equipment and crews as they remove the signage.

Almost a year ago, volunteers and CRGNSA staff planted 260 Doug Fir, Vine Maple & Snowberry on this property located in Skamania County. The intent was to improve the habitat for wildlife. Looks like we succeeded and the elk are enjoying the new plants! 🥰🥰🥰#WildlifeWednesday

Proud to be @PortlandBEM’s commissioner: they worked w/ Lloyd Center owner, who kindly opened their doors as a Warming Shelter in the cold weather event.
This is Portland’s compassionate way forward. More people in shelter spaces receiving support. Fewer people on the streets.

Condolences to Mike Leach’s family. I’ll never forget @CollegeGameDay trip to Pullman. He asked me to be on his coach’s show. We might’ve talked ball. Gave me my first sip of Cuban coffee. Expounded on Geronimo as a leader. Fine man. Influential coach. We will miss him.
