I am writing content to change hearts and minds within the Cardano community.
Our goal is to make P2P Defi/Defi Kernel a priority to all Cardano wallets in the ecosystem.
We have people advocating for P2P Defi/Defi Kernel within Lace, IO, Cardano Foundation and others to help make it a reality...
But so far efforts have stalled, because they are still awaiting approval from leadership.
We are just two random Cardano holders with no influence...
That's why we have chosen to build leverage through content.
We hope to change minds and gather your support. And hopefully, we can make enough noise to get P2P defi through the finish line.
So if the ideas we share and the future we paint speak to you, please petition:
* Your favorite wallet
* IO
* Cardano Foundation
* Emurgo
To make P2P Defi/Defi Kernel a priority.
I believe in the Cardano community.
With your help...
Let's make P2P Defi/Defi Kernel an idea whose time has come.
You can read some of the blog posts my ideas are based on below: github.com/fallen-icarus/med…

The Gummiworm specification, funded by Catalyst Fund 11, is complete ✅
Gummiworm is a layer 2 for Cardano with fast finality, high throughput and decentralized custody of your funds. The community voted for us to document it in full, so anyone can understand how it works and build with it. Thank you to everyone who voted!
Here’s what we delivered: a whitepaper with 51 articles, 50,000 words and 40+ diagrams, from the protocol design to how your funds are protected.
📄 gummiworm.net/whitepaper
Then we put it to the test. @SugarRushDEX, an orderbook exchange built on our L2, ran a 14-day trading competition on Cardano mainnet and processed 660M+ L2 transactions.
The spec is done, but Gummiworm keeps evolving: over a quarter of the whitepaper maps out what comes next.

First, record-keeping products are a simple model the market already tested and moved past a long time ago. Even when you sell them as a solution, they rarely turn into real revenue or profit.
Back in 2019 there were tons of blockchain solutions for hospital records, anti-counterfeit coupons, logistics data and so on. Most of them are gone now. The model just doesn't work in today's market.
Second, even if this passes, it's not a project that puts Cardano on the map. Record verification can run on any chain, so it doesn't show off anything unique about Cardano or add to its value.
Third, the transaction volume is tiny compared to the investment. On top of that, transactions get batched, and agencies will push batch sizes as high as they can to cut costs. So even after 9.6M ADA, real volume is very likely to be ridiculously low.
Lastly, even if other governments use this framework, there'll be more costs to integrate it with their legacy systems. You don't just build it once and plug it in elsewhere. Every new government needs its own integration work, and that's exactly what this proposal is asking us to pay for.
If we fund things just because they use the Cardano network, there's no proposal we could ever say no to. And again, this isn't even a good reference case.
Look at DTCC on Canton. America's securities clearing and settlement giant, processing quadrillions of dollars a year, just started tokenizing US Treasuries on Canton with more than 30 financial institutions.
That's the kind of use case we should be chasing. And I don't think landing something like that would even take 9.6M ADA.
We need to be realistic. There's no reason to spend a limited treasury on proposals with no numbers and no results.
Replying to @InputEndorsers
I think you guys are viewing this from a bit of a narrow lense that I find interesting @dori_coin @InputEndorsers
It's a big ask, yes, but why are we assuming that the only measure of value for Cardano is immediately attracting liquidity and users? And why are we assuming that value can only go one way? That if it benefits Telengana, that means it doesn't benefit the Cardano ecosystem?
Cardano is a general-purpose blockchain and surely our approach to ecosystem advancement should reflect that? We're talking about open-source infrastructure that aims to encourage government/institutional adoption. By a team that has already demonstrated several things: they have the government relationships, they have the ability to build and deliver and they are responsible for transaction volumes on Cardano today. Isnt' that exactly who we should be investing in?
I also find it interesting that we're seemingly completely glossing over the fact that this would indeed create new transaction volume and revenue for Cardano, as well as create new opportunities for other governments to use the framework this would establish.
I understand the skepticism due to the size of the proposal for sure, I definitely do not understand the negativity around the actual proposal and what they're trying to do. Seems like a fantastic use-case and opportunity to expand Cardano's adoption horizons to me....

Cardano has something really special with @realfi_co. We're currently tracking as the 7th highest APY across all of crypto with a 11.66% 7 day trailing APY. Have a look yourself at tokenterminal.com/explorer/a…

The first Cardano PRIME cohort is here.
Nine teams, funded to close the biggest gaps in @Cardano DeFi: DEXs, lending, bridges, vaults, real-world assets, and the audits that keep all of it safe.
Here’s who’s building what ↓

Recently I proposed an opt-in DRep compensation mechanism. The proposal was specifically designed to maximize implementation simplicity to bring this feature to mainnet as quickly as possible.
As of now this proposal is in the CIP process and needs community feedback so that it can be accepted and implemented into GovTools and Lace.
Please provide your feedback to the CIP below so that we can bring this to mainnet ASAP.

RealFi on Cardano just crossed $8.3M in tokenized assets!
According to Token Terminal data, @realfi_co has issued over $8.3M in stablecoins and tokenized funds on the @Cardano network.
That's an increase of $700K in just one week.
Real world financial use cases are gaining traction across Cardano's ecosystem.
Can cardano:native turn this growing on-chain activity into stronger ecosystem momentum?

Bringing real-world businesses into @Cardano DeFi through RealFi 🍔🍟
Some of the most compelling success stories come from businesses deeply rooted in the traditional economy, delivering tangible products and services.
One such example is Poggs, a successful burger franchise currently exploring opportunities to expand across Argentina, with plans to potentially enter the U.S. market, specifically Miami, within the next year.
We have been working closely to bring Poggs Burger into the Cardano ecosystem, with a particular focus on RealFi (@realfi_co), connecting established businesses from the real economy with the decentralized finance opportunities our ecosystem has to offer.
Their deployment into RealFi is confirmed for today, with the potential integration of Strike (@strikeperps) currently under evaluation. The deployment will be executed using Lace Wallet.
This represents another meaningful step toward bridging traditional businesses and decentralized finance, demonstrating how Cardano can create tangible opportunities for companies operating in the real economy.
Real businesses. Real capital. Real adoption.
This would improve Cardano on so many levels, it's not even funny.
Exponential speed gains because transactions can be bundled into a small proof, better U/X for users, intents, PCD makes for easier for cross-chain verification, etc.
This is nothing short of a game changer.

CARDANO: The first real asset just went live under $ADA's new programmable token standard. 🔥
Veridian, a digital identity firm spun out of the Cardano Foundation, has tokenized its shares as legally recognized securities under Swiss law.
CARDANO: Programmable tokens are now live on $ADA mainnet. 🔥
Issuers can control who holds, transfers and receives their tokens, which is perfect for stablecoins, funds and bonds.
Cardano is ready for tokenization.

Whats improved in SteelSwap v2?
We greatly expanded our atomic swap capabilities.
What are atomic swaps? Its when you bypass batchers (no fees!) and directly trade against liquidity pools.
Before we supported @splashprotocol and a few other protocols, but v2 brings support for @DanoFinance and @__fallen_icarus limit orders that are a part of his defi kernel.
Thats right, we are the first protocol to support the defi kernel order book.
Whats even better is that we compose routes between these protocols all within a single transaction, bringing you the best prices on Cardano.

Builders backing builders: RealFi yield, Strike returns; we love to see it.
We just shipped another huge feature.
We’ve now integrated RealFI yield into our liquidity vault, earning full yield from them plus our vault returns.
Now earning 50% APR on USD.
Trillions… 🏎️

Blockenfy Invests in RealFi, Advancing Its On-Chain Treasury Strategy on Cardano
Today, Blockenfy announces an investment in RealFi (@realfi_co), covering its stablecoin and yield program, as part of the company's treasury and investment management strategy.
Blockenfy is a profitable Argentine company providing white-label tokenization infrastructure under a SaaS model, now operating at a high six-figure annual revenue run rate. Its platform enables businesses and entrepreneurs worldwide to tokenize assets with full regulatory compliance. End users can invest without needing to understand blockchain technology.
This initial USD 10,000 allocation marks the first phase of a broader asset and treasury management program, designed to test and validate the platform. The company targets USD 30,000 to 50,000 deployed by year-end.
The transaction was executed through Lace Wallet (@lace_io), migrating stablecoins from another network to @Cardano and bringing new transactions and deposits to the ecosystem.
Blockenfy shares Charles Hoskinson’s (@IOHK_Charles) vision that blockchain has played, and will continue to play, a transformative role in banking the unbanked.
We firmly believe that real-world asset tokenization is a powerful tool to turn this vision into reality, democratizing access to financial opportunities, breaking down traditional barriers, and building a more inclusive global financial system.
We thank Mauro Andreoli, Lucas Macchiavelli and JJ Siler for their support throughout our onboarding and the company's growth.
