XBOX CEO Asha Sharma says that gamers want physical media, so they are announcing when you purchase a game you get both They are keeping physical discs, and when you buy one it will come with a digital entitlement How it will work: - Put the disc in an Xbox that has a disc drive - Launch the game - Claim a digital license on your Xbox account - After that, you can play the game without putting the disc in, the disk will still work like a normal game disk The digital license is tied to that specific disc, not permanently locked to you forever If you sell or give the disc away and the new owner inserts it and claims it, the digital license moves to their account and comes off yours This is the way it would be. Getting both physical media and digital media that you can own and sell Launch is with 1,000 games and more coming later

This is her vaginal microbiome report. 100/100 score. Top 1% of all vaginas. Her sample is dominated by the single most protective bacterial species a vagina can host (Lactobacillus crispatus). Only about 25-30% of reproductive age women globally are L. crispatus-dominant, and “dominant” usually means above 50%. Kate is at 98.7%. The lab found nothing bad to report. (no gardnerella, Candida, STIs, opportunistic pathogens, aerobic vaginitis markers, etc.) This is linked to lower risk of BV, UTIs, yeast infections, HPV persistence, HSV-2 and HIV acquisition, preterm birth, and improved IVF outcomes. A vaginal microbiome is downstream of everything: sleep, glucose control, stress, gut health, sexual health, immune function, what you eat, and what you put in it.

🚨 Do you understand what happened in the last 12 hours? > A CEO of a $200 billion company said on camera that 35% of new grads won't find jobs. He didn't even flinch saying it. > Meta made $165 billion last year and is still firing 15,000 people because apparently record profit isn't profitable enough. > Some random guy in Florida sold his entire house in 5 days using ChatGPT. No real estate agent, no commission, no experience. Just vibes and a $20 subscription. > A man in Australia cured his dying dog's cancer with AI after every single vet told him there was nothing left to do. Built a custom vaccine from his couch. > The guy who created Uber and left 300,000 taxi drivers broke is back. Building robots now because apparently ruining one industry wasn't enough. > Tinder wants access to your camera roll. Your drunk photos, your 3am notes app meltdowns, your deleted selfies. They're calling it a "vibe check." > Naval, the man who made hundreds of millions investing in software, just said software is dead. Four words and the entire industry felt it. > And Anthropic removed the limit on how long their AI can think and then doubled everyone's usage for free. Because when the product is addictive enough you give the first taste away. All of that happened today. Not this week, not this quarter. Today. A random Saturday in March. This is worse than you being on meth.

Could psilocybin could become a monthly neurotropic at high doses and/or a near-daily neurotropic vitamin at low doses? So exciting for this to be further explored. Will the U.S. government fund research? I hope so! Read more about this study: nature.com/articles/s41514-0…

My position on meat has sometimes been misunderstood, so let me state clearly: this is not an anti-meat or anti-red meat stance. In fact, I've frequently discussed and debunked the overly simplistic idea that meat directly causes cancer. However, processed meats represent a fundamentally different category, and the evidence supporting this distinction is overwhelming. Processed meats are particularly problematic due to their preparation methods, which generate known carcinogenic compounds, including N-nitroso compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and heterocyclic amines. The mechanistic evidence linking these substances to cancer development is robust, well-established, and far more compelling than the observational data. The IARC report reviewed over 800 rigorous studies (not just 8 epidemiological studies), including high-quality human cohort studies, animal models, and detailed mechanistic investigations, confirming a clear connection. And while the strongest association exists for colorectal cancer, there is also limited but noteworthy evidence linking processed meat consumption to stomach, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. Additionally, it's important to note that ultra-processed foods, more generally high in sugars and artificial additives, have also demonstrated concerning associations with increased cancer risk. All of that said, I think people should limit their consumption of processed meats and encourage people to consider healthier alternatives whenever possible. In practical terms, I strongly recommend minimizing consumption of processed meats and prioritizing healthier, minimally processed alternatives whenever possible.
Processed meats do not cause colorectal cancer. The WHO report on this was effectively rigged and did not represent the science. @foundmyfitness I worry that "ultra-processed foods" will be used to try to eliminate deli meats, which maybe not ideal are still the most affordable source of protein for most Americans. This would be a big mistake. unsettledscience.substack.co…
