BUT, and this is very important, is it halal??
The vitamin D3 added to milk is usually made from sheep's wool.
The NIH's fact sheet on vitamin D says D3 is "typically produced with irradiation of 7-dehydrocholesterol from lanolin obtained from the wool of sheep." Lanolin is the grease in wool. A cholesterol is pulled from it, converted, and hit with ultraviolet light, the same reaction that makes vitamin D in your skin in the sun.
Almost all US milk is fortified with vitamin D, usually D3, according to the NIH. Horizon organic whole milk lists vitamin D3, and so do Tropicana's calcium and vitamin D orange juice and Cheerios. Vitamin D2 is the other form, made by irradiating yeast, and it's what Silk soymilk uses. A D3 made from lichen exists for products that want to stay animal free. If milk is fortified, FDA's standard sets it at 400 IU per quart.
A machine should know whether it made a good part.
At twentyfour26, we’re building toward that: AI machinists that plan the work, run CNC machines, check the results, and use that feedback to correct the process.
We’re starting with on-demand CNC machining for hardware teams in the Bay Area, with turnaround times as fast as 48 hours.
Our bigger ambition is to make manufacturing expertise repeatable, so every machine we add inherits more of the knowledge needed to make the next part.
Hardware teams should be able to turn a new design into a physical part without weeks of waiting.
That’s why we’re building twentyfour26.
🐐-ed team. name finally matches 🔥

Why Firegoat? @caffeinum and I went through so many names, but they didn't feel like us.
Firegoat just feels right. More on how we selected it here and what we're up to next in our announcement post:

new dating strategy just dropped
People say that Jeff Bezos met his first wife by asking around about “please introduce me to a woman who could get me out of a third world prison if necessary”
and like I totally get this. My kingdom for a partner who would respond to the news that I was in a third world prison, not by being like “what has this headstrong lady gotten herself into” but instead by just being like *sigh, roll up sleeves* “okay how are we getting her out”

not seeing this talked about nearly enough. ~50% of HealthBench Pro tasks contain errors according to @EpochAIResearch.
$30m in input + output tokens and you too can solve a Millennium Prize Problem!
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.
