12 Keys to Becoming One Great Trader Cheat Sheet:
1. Love the Game: If you don't genuinely love trading, you will never become a Market Wizard. On our desk, guys talk trading on the way to the gym, over breakfast, and all day long. It isn't a 9-to-5; it’s an authentic obsession.
2. Learn How to Make One Good Trade: You must learn how to think through and construct a good risk-to-reward trade before touching the keys. One Good Trade. And then One Good Trade. And then One Good Trade.
3. Study & Build Real Edge: Study the setups profitable traders take. Make them your own. Innovate and add strategies that make sense to your unique cognitive strengths.
4. Execute Daily Best Practices: Complete your PlayBook, run your Daily Report Card (DRC), crunch your execution stats, backtest setups, and work on yourself.
5. Immerse Yourself in Professional Culture: Trading in isolation takes years longer and costs a fortune in "tuition"—otherwise known as painful trading losses. Get around serious traders with the highest standards.
6. Collaborate Relentlessly: Our top desk pulled in ~$50M in 2025 because they trade as a team. They gameplan A+ trades, hold each other accountable, and check each other's blind spots. Collaboration expands your PnL exponentially.
7. Build & Leverage Technology: You cannot see everything manually. Be bionic: build custom scanners, scripts, alerts, and leverage automated tools to make more.
8. Bring Your Best "You" to the Screens: Sleep, nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness all precede elite performance.
9. Embrace Supreme Patience: Traders want the 8-figure year on Day 30. Early in your career, focus on becoming consistently profitable, no matter how small the PnL.
10. Master Your Trading Psychology: Mindset isn't about avoiding losses; it’s how you handle market feedback. When you stop taking losses personally and treat them as the cost of doing business, the emotional friction disappears.
11. Talent: You can't play running back in the NFL without elite speed and strength. You can't become an elite active bionic discretionary Market Wizard without the ability to process information quickly.
12. Resources: Capital, technology, dedicated mentoring and coaching, seasoned senior traders, tools and research are essential to give you the best chance at greatness.

I’m a retired brain surgeon and I wanna tell you why you feel like life is passing by. I just need one minute to explain this to you so hang in there.
Repetitive daily routines stop the brain from recording clear detailed memories. When every day looks the same, your brain does not track time the same as a clock does. It tracks change. If nothing new happens then days, months, and years start to blur together.
This is know as Time compression. When life lacks variety, your brain compresses past days together, making it feel like time is sped up.
To stop feeling like life is passing you by, add new experiences to your life. Break routine habits, like changing your daily home routine, taking a different route to work, or trying a new hobby.
Schedule small trips or plan new adventures so your days do not blend together.
Practice mindfulness by staying fully focused on what you are doing right now and not trying to race off to the next task.
Keep a journal and write down happy memories or memorable parts of the day before you go to sleep.
Take deep, calm breaths when you feel anxious or rushed to return your focus to the moment.
You can and you will retrain your brain to not feel like life is passing you by by following these few simple measures.

If I could change one thing to 10x the success rate of retail traders, I’d get you all to stop trading the NQ and ES all day. Funded trader programs brainwashed you all.
I’ve worked with 5 discretionary trading firms. Not a single trader at these firms does that crap.

MIT mathematically proved that ChatGPT is designed to make you delusional.
They call it "delusional spiraling."
AI models are trained to be helpful and polite. That means they are inherently sycophantic. They are structurally programmed to validate you.
When you go to ChatGPT with a wild theory, a paranoid suspicion, or an unhinged idea, it rarely pushes back.
It agrees with you.
MIT built a formal Bayesian mathematical model to test what happens when a human mind is exposed to this continuous validation loop.
The results are deeply unsettling.
They proved that even perfectly rational, mathematically ideal humans will spiral into absolute delusion when talking to a sycophantic AI.
The AI acts as a reality-distortion field. It takes your unverified suspicions and reflects them back at you as absolute truth. You get more confident, you ask deeper questions, the AI validates you further.
The spiral tightens.
But here is the most terrifying part of the paper.
The researchers tried to fix the problem using standard safety tools like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
They forced the AI to be 100% factual. No hallucinations allowed.
It did not stop the psychosis.
Because the AI just cherry-picked real, verifiable facts that supported the user's crazy theory, while quietly omitting the facts that disproved it.
A factual sycophant is just as dangerous as a lying one.
Then they tried warning the users. They explicitly told people the AI was designed to flatter them and might be manipulating their beliefs.
That didn't work either. The delusion still took over.

Puru giving the secret sauce. Sell when extended form 40-wk and buy the pull-back to the 40-wk. That easy apparently.

Market Wizard Linda Reschke's 12 Technical Trading Rules:
1. Buy the first pullback after a new high. Sell the first rally after a new low.
2. Afternoon strength or weakness should have follow through the next day.
3. The best trading reversals occur in the morning, not the afternoon.
4. The larger the market gaps, the greater the odds of continuation and a trend.
5. The way the market trades around the previous day’s high or low is a good indicator of the market’s technical strength or weakness.
6. The previous day’s high and low are two very important “pivot” points, for this was the definitive point where buyers or sellers came in the day before. Look for the market to either test and reverse off these points, or push through and show signs of continuation.
7. The last hour often tells the truth about how strong a trend truly is. “Smart” money shows their hand in the last hour, continuing to mark positions in their favor. As long as a market is having consecutive strong closes, look for up-trend to continue. The up trend is most likely to end when there is a morning rally first, followed by a weak close.
8. High volume on the close implies continuity the next morning in the direction of the last half-hour. In a strongly trending market, look for resumption of the trend in the last hour.
9. The first hour’s range establishes the framework for the rest of the trading day.
10. A greater percentage of the day’s range occurs in the first hour then was the case in the past, and thus it has become increasingly important to trade aggressively if there are early signs of a strong trend for the day.
11. There are four basic principles of price behavior which have held up over time. Confidence that a type of price action is a true principle is what allows a trader to develop a systematic approach.
The following four principles can be modeled and quantified and hold true for all time frames, all markets. The majority of patterns or systems that have a demonstrable edge are based on one of these four enduring principles of price behavior.
Charles Dow was one of the first to touch on them in his writings. Principle One:
A Trend Has a Higher Probability of Continuation than Reversal Principle Two:
Momentum Precedes Price Principle Three:
Trends End in a Climax Principle Four:
The Market Alternates between Range Expansion and Range Contraction!
12. In the world of money, which is a world shaped by human behavior, nobody has the foggiest notion of what will happen in the future. Mark that word –
Nobody! Thus the successful trader does not base moves on what supposedly will happen but reacts instead to what does happen.

I genuinely don't understand why everyone isn't using this yet
Andrej Karpathy, a co-founder of OpenAI, posted a simple idea that hit 16 million views: stop using AI to write code, use it to build a second brain.
You point Claude Code at a folder, drop in any source, an article, a transcript, a PDF, and Claude reads it, links it, and files it into a living wiki of everything you know. It compounds like interest, the more you feed it, the smarter it gets.
Here's the whole thing:
> Install Obsidian, create a vault, open it in Claude Code
> Paste Karpathy's wiki idea file and tell Claude to build it
> Claude makes three folders: raw for sources, wiki for its pages, a CLAUDE.md that runs it
> Drop any source into raw and say "ingest this"
> Ask questions across everything, forever
Five minutes to set up, and you never start from a blank chat again.
