HFHE sandbox has been updated to pvac v7
encrypted arithmetic, matrices, vectors, logic gates, fourier transforms and recrypt benchmarks all work locally in your browser with no node, RPC or wallet connection

it's that simple thanks to minimum dependencies and extensive rpc scheme published
fyi: the new type of HFHE worker performs 64 operations in a row without changing the result - a cold hfhe compute takes about 2.14 sec, repeated ones about 8.4 m sec (previously it took from 1 to 3 minutes)
lite node gets a solid update (or rather, already got it, release marker is on the way, validators will need to update), this release included a lot of work on circles (atomicity, native transfers etc), nested programs (both ways with circles), improvements for the hfhe worker with a developed actor model (ported from the bootstrap node), rule activation roughly after 10k epochs, everyone should update (mainnet gets this update too)
with every step the lite node is already getting harder and harder to call "lite", with the storage module update and gpu interface for deep compute chains on top of circles it will become indistinguishable from a standard node.
among the interesting bits - the proof model is also expanded, we decided to add validated verif methods in Coq from our early 2022 work for the sake of culture
a couple more words on the PQ hysteria of llm slopers and doomerism, to clear questions we decided not to wait for the start of 2027, but to start rolling out the update on signatures, hashing and other stuff on lpn + our hash-based basis (where appropriate) already now with gradual activation so everyone can comfortably update signature format etc (detailed plan will be published a bit later, still figuring out how to do it seamlessly)

New record on Xpectrum.
Xpectra #105 auction has closed.
Xpectra #105 just sold for 19,382 OCT, the highest sale on the platform to date.

the test app, which we plan to release first on sepolia evm + octra devnet, and then add other networks, will allow sending ERC20 assets and gas coins between participants without disclosing the amount, sender, and recipient, outside the octra network (while octra is used as a computing layer for encrypted data)
it will be available completely open source, the application can be run locally (using the same principle as webcli), no trust environment, sharing keys, etc. – at London, England

Here are all seven Xpectra going up for auction tomorrow.
Three formats: sealed bid, descending clock, and rising auction. Take a good look, one of these isn't quite like the rest.

the mainnet is currently undergoing an update, once complete, all HFHE ops, new @AppliedLang features, a new program layer, an updated circle viewer, and more will become available (the webcli will need to be rebuilt for this) + cleaning things up and fixing bugs using the ML fuzzer tool @octralex developed (he might release it as a third party product later it seems) *

Auctions are built, with both tested on devnet.
Sealed bid: every bid encrypted until close, then all open together at once. Nobody sees where the market's at until it's over. Highest bid wins, pays exactly what it bid.
Descending clock: price falls every epoch, first buyer to accept it takes the NFT. Watch as long as you want, nothing about you is on-chain until you act.
Both end the same way: a public sale. What differs is what the market gets to see on the way there.
Mainnet version is ready. Couple touches and private auctions go live

a few words about the upcoming changes and the preliminary roadmap, as well as our internal plans and thoughts in general:
1). mainnet upgrade (it depended on devnet surprisingly enough) ,but for the first time on a live network we achieved full decentralization outside our own machines, where right now about 40 external validators and early testers have deployed nodes. this took some time because, outside sandbox conditions, we were squashing a ton of minor bugs along the way, so special thanks to everyone for this help and support And now we're down to the final steps before the final merge, which will drop right at devnet epoch 1500000 once the last consensus tests are run, after which we'll publish the configs and p2p map for the mainnet.
2). HFHE will become a separate and independent track with everything that entails; we'll continue working on pq solutions and r&d on pq signatures (MQ, LPN, etc.). we believe this direction has huge potential - several tools haven't been published publicly yet (we're prepping them for announcement).
3). the ML hysteria doesn't concern us. we got lots of messages about inference mining, how it's the future, etc. several teams literally forgot what they wrote in their whitepapers right before our eyes and completely flip-flopped mid air multiple times just to pack their freshly baked pitch decks with buzzwords.
our stance is different: we believe in proof of useful work, but we believe in it our own way - through resource attestation and other validator primitives. this concept (including inference) was proposed by us long before the llm/ml hysteria blew up, so our plans won't change. we're not going to jump into new trends just because they're being massively shilled (personally, i don't give a shit about llms; i like ml, but in a different problem, arithmetic encoding , etc.)
4). applied meta language - the total lang with functional primitives that we're building for the virtual machine - will be significantly expanded. it'll be ideally suited for any on-chain tasks, from DeFi (which is alive and kicking, and everything will be fine with it) and complex decentralized systems built on circles, to local isolated HFHE programs that can run privately right inside the execution kernel, plus a lot of other stuff we'll cover separately.
5). the $OCT coin position: due to r&d, we haven't spent much time on coin positioning, but now everything changes. with the mainnet upgrade, OCT will become the centerpiece tying together the tokenomics, useful resource utilization, compute effort spent on program execution, and much more. we also plan to burn some of the minted supply prior to the upgrade, thereby increasing the pool of available coins for mining; the 1 billion coin cap remains unchanged (fun fact, by the way: roughly 13 mil coins on the testnet were permanently lost by early testers due to careless handling).
listings are also just around the corner, protocols will receive initial liquidity, and the best of the best will get grants and support from our treasury.
6). circles (isolated runtimes on top of the mainnet), the private network, hidden services, and the high-level data transport protocol (oct://) will continue to evolve, turning into a standalone product and a great showcase of just how convenient, secure, and accessible all this can be. on octra, you can run websites, services, and even dedicated clusters completely anonymously and in a decentralized way. these concepts will be heavily refined to perfection over the next year; a marketplace of ready-made examples and apps, along with plenty of other stuff, is also on the way.
ps: thanks to all early testers, validators, devs, and everyone supporting us. the next two weeks are going to be packed with announcements

Xpectrum Creators is live.
Xpectrum Creators is our official collection launchpad and a hub where creators find each other.
Curation and deployment on the launchpad is permissionless as intended, the factory has no owner gate on collection creation. Anyone can put together a collection in a few easy steps.
To achieve this, we had to solve a long standing problem: circles, for our on-chain storage scheme, had to be easier to deploy and manage, for that, we've settled on a local browser vault approach.
Every creator gets a unique vault (per profile) upon registration, its seed comes from the connected wallet signature over a fixed message, so the same wallet reproduces it deterministically on any machine. None of this, at any point, is ever stored on our servers.
At rest, the vault is AES-GCM encrypted under a key derived from your chosen passphrase via PBKDF2-SHA256 at 600,000 iterations. Unlocked, it lives in memory for that particular session only.
Furthermore, every factory deployed collection gets its own storage wallet which is derived from your vault seed. A collection's wallet independently, reveals nothing about the vault or any other linked collection. The collection wallet pays for and signs its collection's storage. The creator funds it once, for an amount computed from the actual upload size. Whatever remains stays in a wallet control by them.
Network fees are flat per transaction and you approve the number before the start.
Uploads go out in nonce order without waiting on each one, then confirmed in bulk. Interrupted launches resume from what's already on-chain.
No platform key is in that path, therefore, we cannot deploy, upload, lock, or reveal on a creator's behalf.
The Lab, our art tool, builds the images and the metadata, right in your browser. The artwork panel commits a provenance fingerprint before any of it goes public, so rarity is fixed and checkable before a single token mints.
This is the first release over many iterations, updates would be progressively pushed as we finialize feature for the most secure and optimal experience, until then, Xpectrum Creators is open to all. Constructive feedback and criticism is much welcomed and appreciated.

the lite node is out, and anyone can connect to the network: github.com/octra-labs/lite_n…
a lite node is not a conventional "light node", but rather a full node for lower end devices, including older laptops, mac mini and raspberry pi
head to discord or telegram for setup assistance
hi everyone, a quick update: the lite node is available on github, complete with a bootloader (you can run it, connect to the network, or set up your own fully private one, and so on), the current build includes all necessary components, including controls for the full node management life cycle
this build doesn't have a version number yet, as it isn't a stable release (so consider it a nightly build), we will assign one in 3 days and finalize the build as the reference version after a few tests
btw, it turned out to be much more cost-effective for a lite node to use dedicated physical hardware with a dedicated IP
please note that all code is published under the BSD 3-Clause License, and standard nodes and bootstrap nodes will be licensed the same way, certain individual components may be proprietary (though these are not part of the runtime path and relate more to circles, storage implementations, or ML algorithm processing systems)
we have a few more important announcements, but more on that later, thank you for your patience and support

for the first time ever, the weekly bridged-in supply (4,953,533.549 OCT) exceeded the bridged-out supply (792,725.68)
most of the bridged-in supply was then encrypted
