An AI chose where to put the camera inside a 3D scene I built, and I kept seven of the images it made. Encounter is one of the six smaller works, each in an edition of six, and it's in the catalogue at booth R03 with Gallery @bygrida at ASIA NOW in Paris until Saturday.

Afterimage, 2026 40 × 50 cm This is the closest the series comes to losing her completely, with red lilies streaked across the frame and her reduced to a warm blur near the bottom. I built the scene in 3D and handed the camera to an AI, and out of everything it came back with, this is the one I kept to end the seven.
