This isn’t quite true. The RTG provides electricity which powers the equipment on Voyager I. The distance traveled is due to rockets and gravity assists. The probe has made small course corrections using thrusters, but the thrusters are fueled by liquid hydrazine.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pipe_o… I really enjoyed reading about the history of the pipe organ, which I learned is extremely old and one of the most complex things people regularly built until late in the pre-modern era.

If you lie down with dogs you’ll wake up with Ben Shapiro. He fell out of somebody’s pocket, and he’s just so wee that unless he’s doing his mile-a-minute squeaky thing it’s all too easy to miss him.

You’re right, five rolling on the floor laughing emoji is exactly the number that says a post was made by a very chill and normal person.

Ideally, the material decays inside a tumor, damaging it. Some clinics in Germany (possibly elsewhere) offer this treatment now, but it is fairly expensive. DM me if you want details or contact info (2/2).

I’m sorry this is happening. It doesn’t work for everyone and it’s not a magic bullet, but there’s been some progress in radiotheranostics. Essentially, radioactive material is put in some kind of matrix that is designed to be taken up by the tumors. (1/2)

So five women and two computer scientists have won the Nobel prize in physics. If the committee is suddenly giving prizes for things that are accidentally useful to physicists rather than for things that are actually physics they should give one to the people who invented excel.

Fascinatingly nobody knows how long a cubit was supposed to be. My guess is about one millimeter.

Someone has offered 10k. I’m suing them for an additional 100k for ruining the joke.

These elements are ashes left over from stellar burning. You are star garbage.

Have you read Emily Wilson's translation yet? It's stunning.

It would be better if you did not try to write things.

I’m an atheist, but I know enough about the bible to know that you’re a blind guide and a whited sepulchre.
