The media's coverage of Holborn & St Pancras is a testament to @ZackPolanski's leadership and how far the Green Party has come in the last year. It's a Labour safe seat. It has only ever been held by Labour, and Keir Starmer won by 50% (!) in 2019.

And, importantly, before this year, the Green Party's best-ever result in a parliamentary by-election was 10% (!). The way much of how this by-election has been covered frames us as the expected winner, when a win here would be a ground-breaking achievement.

🚨BREAKING: Greens have gained Queen's Park in Brighton from Labour. Congratulations to Mark Strong, who is the new councillor. With a huge swing from the 2023 city election (+28). This seat was also gained by the Greens from Labour in the 2024 by-election.

Reform UK leads at twenty-three percent, a decrease of one percentage point since twenty-two to twenty-three February. The Green Party follows in second at twenty-one percent, an increase of four percentage points. Reform is now the biggest party in the UK, with 268k members as Labour falls to 250k. The Greens are third with 180k members, also fast approaching Labour. The Tories, once the biggest party, peaking at 2.9M members in 1951, is fourth with just 123k, their lowest ever recorded.
