రైలు ఢీకొని ఎలుగుబంట్లు మృతి చెందిన ఘటనపై అటవీ శాఖ అధికారులతో ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రివర్యుల చర్చ

రైలు ఢీకొన్న ప్రమాదంలో రెండు ఎలుగుబంటి పిల్లలు మృతి చెందిన ఘటనపై రాష్ట్ర ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రివర్యులు, అటవీ పర్యావరణ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ @PawanKalyan గారు విచారం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. అనంతపురం జిల్లా డి. హీరేహాళ్ మండలం కళ్యం గ్రామ పరిధిలోని రైల్వే ట్రాక్‌పై గురువారం తెల్లవారుజామున చోటుచేసుకున్న ఈ ఘటనపై అటవీ శాఖ అధికారులతో చర్చించారు. కళ్యాణదుర్గం అటవీ రేంజ్‌లోని, రాయదుర్గం బీట్, సెక్షన్ పరిధిలో జరిగిన ఈ ప్రమాదంపై అటవీ శాఖ అధికారుల ద్వారా సమాచారం తెలుసుకున్నారు. అటవీ ప్రాంతాల మధ్య వెళ్లే రైల్వే మార్గాల్లో వన్యప్రాణులు ప్రమాదాల బారినపడకుండా ప్రత్యేక చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. ఇటువంటి ప్రమాదాలు పునరావృతం కాకుండా అటవీ, రైల్వే శాఖలు సమన్వయంతో ముందుకు వెళ్లాలని తెలిపారు.
గతంలో అదే మార్గంలో రైలు ప్రమాదంలో చిరుత మృతి చెందిన ఘటనను గుర్తు చేస్తూ, అటవీ మార్గాల్లో రైళ్లు నడిపే లోకో పైలెట్లు వన్యప్రాణి సంరక్షణ చర్యల్లో భాగంగా రూపొందించిన మార్గదర్శకాలు తప్పనిసరిగా పాటించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలన్నారు. తాజా ఘటనపై స్థానిక రైల్వే శాఖ ఉన్నతాధికారులతో అటవీ శాఖ అధికారులు ఒక సమన్వయ సమావేశం ఏర్పాటు చేసుకుని, ప్రమాదాల నివారణకు అవసరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఆదేశించారు. అటవీ ప్రాంతాల్లో రైళ్ల రాకపోకల సమయంలో వన్యప్రాణుల భద్రతకు తీసుకోవాల్సిన చర్యలపై చర్చించాలని నిర్దేశం చేశారు.
అటవీ ప్రాంతాల గుండా రైళ్లు ప్రయాణించే సమయంలో లోకో పైలెట్లు మరింత అప్రమత్తంగా వ్యవహరించాలని శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు. ముఖ్యంగా వన్యప్రాణుల సంచారం ఉండే ప్రాంతాల్లో రైల్వే ట్రాక్‌లను నిశితంగా గమనిస్తూ రైళ్లను నడపాలని, అటవీ మార్గాల్లో రైళ్ల వేగాన్ని నియంత్రించడం, అవసరమైన ప్రాంతాల్లో క్రమం తప్పకుండా హారన్ మోగించడం వంటి చర్యల ద్వారా వన్యప్రాణులకు ప్రమాదాలు జరగకుండా చూడాలన్నారు. అలాగే ఈ మార్గాల్లో రైళ్లను నడిపే లోకో పైలెట్లకు రైల్వే శాఖ వన్యప్రాణుల సంచారం, వాటి సంరక్షణ, ప్రమాదాల నివారణపై ప్రత్యేక అవగాహన కల్పించాలని సూచించారు. అటవీ శాఖ అధికారులు స్థానిక రైల్వే అధికారులతో సమన్వయం చేసుకుంటూ వన్యప్రాణులు రైల్వే ట్రాక్‌లను దాటే ప్రాంతాలను గుర్తించి, ఆయా ప్రాంతాల్లో తీసుకోవాల్సిన భద్రతా చర్యలపై దృష్టి సారించాలన్నారు. రైల్వే మార్గాల్లో వన్యప్రాణులకు జరుగుతున్న ప్రమాదాలను నివారించే అంశాన్ని సంబంధిత రైల్వే జనరల్ మేనేజర్ దృష్టికి కూడా తీసుకువెళ్లాలని పీసీసీఎఫ్ ని ఆదేశించారు.
• విద్యుద్ఘాతంతో ఏనుగుల వరుస మరణాలపై…
విద్యుద్ఘాతం కారణంగా వరుసగా సంభవిస్తున్న ఏనుగుల మరణాలపై ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రివర్యులు సమీక్షించారు. ఈ తరహా ప్రమాదాలు ఎక్కువగా చోటుచేసుకుంటున్న జిల్లాల్లో సంబంధిత కలెక్టర్లతోపాటు వ్యవసాయ, ఉద్యాన, విద్యుత్, పంచాయతీరాజ్, గ్రామీణాభివృద్ధి తదితర అనుబంధ శాఖల అధికారులతో సమన్వయ సమావేశాలు ఏర్పాటు చేసి, నివారణ చర్యలపై చర్చించాలని ఆదేశించారు. ముఖ్యంగా విద్యుత్ షాక్ కారణంగా సంభవిస్తున్న ఏనుగుల మరణాల సమస్యకు శాశ్వత పరిష్కార మార్గాలు అన్వేషించాలని స్పష్టం చేశారు. ప్రతి ఘటనపై సమగ్ర దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టి భవిష్యత్తులో పునరావృతం కాకుండా దిద్దుబాటు చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని అటవీ ఉన్నతాధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. వన్యప్రాణుల సంచారం ఉన్న ప్రాంతాల్లో విద్యుత్ లైన్లు తగినంత ఎత్తులో ఉండేలా విద్యుత్ శాఖతో సమన్వయం చేసుకోవాలని, వన్యప్రాణుల సంచారం ఉన్న ప్రాంతాల్లో పంటల చుట్టూ విద్యుత్ కంచెలు ఏర్పాటు చేయకుండా రైతులకు అవగాహన కల్పించాలని పేర్కొన్నారు.

HANUMAN Wildlife Rescue | Indian Rock Python Safely Rescued
Following heavy rains caused by Cyclone Arnab, an Indian Rock Python was safely rescued from a house in Uddapalem, Atchutapuram, Anakapalli district, by H.A.N.U.M.A.N. teams and the Eastern Ghats Wildlife Society, in coordination with the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department and Police. The Schedule I protected species was safely released into a suitable forest habitat away from human habitation.

Protecting Mangroves, Protecting Our Future!
AP GREEN Executive Chairman Sri @NagaBabuOffl launched a mangrove restoration drive at Sangameswaram, Avanigadda, aiming to plant 3 lakh mangrove saplings across 100 hectares.
Emphasising ecological balance and the importance of protecting nature, he called for stronger implementation of the WALTA Act and collective responsibility towards environmental conservation.

Not just the number of saplings, but their survival matters.
At the first AP GREEN Executive Committee meeting, chaired by AP GREEN Chairman Sri @NagaBabuOffl at Aranya Bhavan, Mangalagiri, a comprehensive roadmap was outlined to achieve 50% Green Cover in Andhra Pradesh by 2047.
Key priorities include raising 10 crore saplings in 2026–27, establishing 500 nurseries, promoting native species under the “Right Tree–Right Place” approach, expanding coastal green belts, mangroves and Palmyrah plantations, and strengthening public, industry and community participation.
The meeting emphasised survival over plantation numbers, backed by geo-tagging, digital monitoring and clear accountability—from nursery to mature tree.
“What we plant today is not merely a sapling, but the foundation for our children’s greener future.”
Senior officials, including AP GREEN Commissioner & CEO Sri B.N.N. Murthy, along with representatives from key departments including APPCB, Education, Horticulture and VB-G RAM G participated in the meeting.

రాష్ట్ర ప్రజలను ప్రకృతిలో మమేకం చేసి, వారికి మరిచిపోని మధురానుభూతులను ఇవ్వడంతోపాటు, గిరిజనులకు ఎకో టూరిజం జీవనోపాధులు మెరుగుపర్చడం ప్రభుత్వం ముందున్న లక్ష్యమని రాష్ట్ర ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రివర్యులు శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు చెప్పారు. నల్లమల నుంచి మారేడుమిల్లి వరకు, బాపట్ల తీర ప్రాంత అందాల నుంచి కోటప్పకొండ ఆధ్యాత్మిక ప్రయాణం వరకు రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని ప్రాంతాలకు పర్యాటక కళను తీసుకొచ్చేలా పని చేస్తున్నామని అన్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో నూతనంగా నిర్మితమైన 6 నగరవనాలను ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రివర్యులు మంగళవారం వర్చువల్ గా ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ సందర్బంగా శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు మాట్లాడుతూ ‘‘నగర వన యోజన కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా ఇప్పటి వరకు రాష్ట్రంలో 19 నగరవనాలుంటే, ఇప్పుడు ప్రారంభించిన ఆరు నగరవనాలతో కలిపి 25 నగరవనాలు రాష్ట్రంలో ఏర్పడతాయి. 305 హెక్టార్లలో, రూ.13 కోట్లతో అభివృద్ధి చేసిన ఈ నగరవనాలు కేవలం మొక్కలు నాటే ప్రాంతాలుగా కాకుండా, ప్రజలను ప్రకృతి ఒడిలోకి తీసుకెళ్లే మార్గంగా ఉంటాయి. నగరవనాల్లో సైక్లింగ్, వాకింగ్ ట్రాక్ లు, పిల్లలు ఆడుకునే ప్రాంతాలు, జిమ్ పరికరాలు వంటివి అందుబాటులో ఉంటాయి. ఆహ్లాదకరమైన వాతావరణంలో, స్వచ్ఛమైన అందాలతో నగరవనాలు ఆరోగ్యం, ఆహ్లాదం, ప్రకృతి అవగాహన కేంద్రాలుగా తీర్చిదిద్దుతున్నాం. బాపట్ల, చీరాల తీర ప్రాంత పర్యాటక వనాలుగా ఉంటే, కోటప్పకొండ ఆధ్యాత్మిక సువాసనలతో విరాజిల్లుతుంది. వినుకొండ, దేవరంపాడు, మాచర్లలో ఏర్పాటు చేసే నగరవనాలు ఆకర్షణీయంగా ఉంటాయి. ప్రకృతికి దగ్గరయితే, ఆరోగ్యం దగ్గరవుతుంది. ప్రకృతి అర్ధమైతే, పరిరక్షణ బాధ్యత పెరుగుతుంది. ఇది ప్రకృతి నియమం.
సత్సంకల్పంతో ముందడుగు వేస్తున్నాం
రాష్ట్రంలో ఎకో టూరిజం పెరగడం వల్ల గిరిజన యువతకు ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు లభిస్తాయి. వెలిగోడు జంగిల్ సఫారీతో సరికొత్త అనుభూతులు లభిస్తాయి. మారేడుమిల్లి ట్రెక్కింగ్, ఆరోమా కనోపీ వాక్ ద్వారా తూర్పు కనుమల అటవీ అందాలను, ప్రకృతి పరిమళలను ప్రజలకు చేరువ చేస్తాం. గిరిజన సంస్కృతిని ప్రజలకు తెలియజేసేందుకు ప్రయత్నిస్తాం. దీనివల్ల గిరిజనుల జీవన విధానంలో మంచి మార్పులు వస్తాయని సత్సంకల్పంతో పని చేస్తున్నాం. ప్రకృతిని ప్రేమించాలి.. భావితరాలకు బహుమతిగా ఇవ్వాలనేది మా సంకల్పం. దీనికి కట్టుబడి పనిచేస్తాం. దీనికి ప్రజలు తమవంతుగా సహకరించాలి’’ అన్నారు.
అనంతరం ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ అటవీశాఖ రూపొందించిన వైల్డ్ ఆర్నమెంటల్ ప్లాంట్స్ ఆఫ్ ద నల్లమల ఫారెస్ట్ ఆఫ్ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, ట్రీ టాన్స్ లోకేషన్ మాన్యూవల్ పుస్తకాలను ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రివర్యులు ఆవిష్కరించారు. దీంతో పాటు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ అటవీ అభివృద్ధి కార్పొరేషన్ దేశంతోనే మొదటిసారి ‘‘ఈకోలిప్టస్ పల్ప్ ఉడ్ ప్లాంటేషన్’’ విభాగంలో అనుసరిస్తున్న సుస్థిర నిర్వహణ పద్ధతులకు గుర్తింపుగా సాధించిన ప్రమాణ్ సర్టిఫికేట్ ను డిప్యూటీ సీఎం గారి చేతుల మీదుగా అటవీశాఖ అధికారులు అందుకున్నారు.

As part of the South India Study Tour Programme, Forest Range Officer Trainees of the 2025–27 (9th Batch), Himachal Pradesh Forest Academy, Sundernagar, visited Andhra Pradesh on 4 October 2026.
The trainees interacted with Forest Department officials and visited Pulicat Lake to understand its unique wetland ecosystem and Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary to study bird habitats, biodiversity and conservation practices, before proceeding to Tirupati.
The study tour provides valuable field exposure and promotes knowledge sharing in wildlife management, wetland conservation and ecosystem protection.

National Wildlife Week 2026 | Day 1
The Andhra Pradesh Forest Department commenced National Wildlife Week celebrations with enthusiastic participation across Forest Divisions throughout the State.
Day 1 featured a range of awareness and outreach activities aimed at inspiring people, especially students and local communities, to understand the importance of wildlife conservation, habitat protection and peaceful coexistence with nature.
From awareness programmes and educational activities to community engagement initiatives, Forest Department teams across Andhra Pradesh came together with a shared commitment to “Connecting Habitats, Thriving Wildlife.”
The celebrations will continue throughout Wildlife Week, carrying the message of conservation closer to communities across the State.
