Somalia Escalates Legal Action Against Turkish Blogger Over Sustained Attacks on Somali Officials @hodansomali somalistream.com/somalia-escβ¦
Kudos to wasiir Mareye ππΎ
Wasir @Hon_Maareeye deserves recognition for having the courage and bravery to directly call out government forces involved in imposing illegal isbaaro checkpoints.
These checkpoints are not just roadblocks; they are a serious threat to food security, increasing the cost of transporting local produce and making food more expensive for ordinary Somalis.
Speaking out against this takes courage, and holding those responsible accountable is a necessary step toward protecting our farmers, traders, and consumers.
Waxaan hambalyo leeyahay hogaaiyaha iyo kuxigeenka Hirshabelle oo shalay lagu doortay Jowhar.

Guddiga Madaxabanaan ee Doorashooyinka Qaranka iyo soohdimaha ayaa shalay qabtay doorashada guddoonka golaha wakiilada #Hirshabelle.
Golaha wakiilada ayaa doortay gudoomiye iyo 2 kuxigeen.
Witnessing the first publicly elected representative of #Hirshabelle being sworn in. It is a historic moment for Hirshabelle and its people, who have taken part in this democratic process. Their trust must be honored through responsible leadership and meaningful representation.
Ku dhawaaqista Natiijada Doorashada isku sidkan ee Golaha wakiilada iyo Golayaasha deegaanka ee Dowlada Goboleedka #Hirshabelle.
A delegation led by the Deputy Chairperson of @NIEBCSomalia arrived today in Jowhar to oversee the Hirshabelle State election, including the District Council and State Assembly elections.
This evening, we held an important meeting with various security institutions to hear their security updates and to brief them on the electoral law and the role of police officers during the election period.
May Allah grant mercy to Mama Hawa Aden.
She served as the Executive Director of the Galkaio Education Centre for Peace and Development.
An organization that transformed the lives of many people, especially the most fortunate and the most vulnerable.π
Never lose your time & energy to try to make a peace or reconcile with two types of people:
1. Someone who hates your existence
2- And someone who fights with you because of others agenda
In the second case, you better off making peace with the person he/she is fighting for.
Today we were invited to Balcad District, where a welcoming ceremony took place for the newly elected Speaker of the House of the people.
The @NIEBCSomalia, led by @chairp_NIEBC, shared updates with Somali partners on both upcoming and recently concluded district and State elections. We remain committed to fulfilling our constitutional mandate and strengthening Somaliaβs democratic governance, contributing to lasting peace, stability, and sustainable development in Somalia.

St. Louis Park is the 20th largest municipality in Minnesota.
Did Alpha News report on the whereabouts of the mayor of Eagan or Lakeville on the 4th, or is it just the Somali mayor going on vacation that they deemed newsworthy?
Whether we realize it or not, our generation has a responsibility to build a better future for the next ones. Thereβs no point in blaming the past. Instead, we must learn from their mistakes and create the future weβve always dreamed of.
Happy Independence Day #Somalia πΈπ΄

I had the privilege of speaking at the farewell dinner of the Hirshabelle Annual Local Government and Federalism Conference, which was attended by more than 20 District Commissioners, Mayors, and the two Governors of Hiran and Middle Shabelle. I expressed my gratitude to the President and the Ministry of Interior for organizing this yearly conference, which promotes federalism, strengthens collaboration among districts, and provides an opportunity to learn best practices from one another.
I also emphasized the importance of the one person, one vote principle. This ensures that citizensβ rights are protected and that public accountability is strengthened. At the same time, it grants elected leaders the legitimacy and authority to serve their communities and work in the best interests of the people.
