Twenty-one suspects are in custody at Kikuube Central Police Station for illegal activities in Bugoma Central Forest Reserve. The National Forestry Authority accuses them of destroying 40 hectares of newly restored bamboo. The arrests mark a critical step in protecting Uganda’s biodiversity, following increased encroachment and environmental degradation in one of the country’s key ecological zones.
