سوئی گیس 1952 سے نکل رہی ہے، بلوچوں کو کیا ملا؟ سوات کے زمرد سے والی سوات ریاست چلاتے تھے، آج منافع کہاں جاتا ہے؟ کرک کے تیل اور مردان کی گیس نے مقامی عوام کی زندگی کتنی بدلی؟ مسئلہ معدنیات نکالنے کا نہیں، مالِ غنیمت سمجھ کر لوٹنے کا ہے۔
پاکستان میں جن علاقوں میں معدنیات ہزاروں سال سے دفن ہیں، انہیں بالکل نہ چھیڑا جائے۔ وہ معدنیات ایک ہزار سال کے بعد ہوسکتا ہے ہماری نسلوں کے کام آئیں۔ ابھی کوئی فکر نہیں ہم چین، امارات،سعودیہ اور ائی ایم ایف سے قرض مانگ کر گزارہ تو کر ہی رہے ہیں۔ غربت پچاس فیصد بھگت رہے ہیں۔
اپنی ان اربوں ڈالرز کی اتنی قیمتی دھاتوں کو ہوا بھی نہ لگنے دیں کہیں عالمی سوداگر چرا کر نہ لے جائیں۔ ہمارے پاس تو ویسے ہی ان کو نکالنے/استمعال کرنے کی ٹیکنالوجی نہیں ہے۔ ہوسکتا ہے ایک ہزار کے بعد کوئی ہماری نسل میں سے ایسے قابل بچے پیدا ہو جائیں جو بیرونی ٹیکنالوجی اور انویسٹر کے بغیر ہی سب کچھ نکال کر پاکستان کو دنیا کا امیر ترین ملک بنا دیں۔ ابھی معدنیات کے خزانوں کو بالکل نہ چھیڑیں۔ جو چیز ہزاروں سال سے دبی ہوئی ہے اسے دبا ہی رہنے دیں۔ ہوسکتا ہے آنے والے زمانوں میں اس معدنیات کی آثار قدیمہ کے ماہرین کے ہاتھوں بھولی بھٹکی کھدائی کی وجہ سے ہمیں دنیا کی قدیم تہذیب ہی مان لیا جائے۔

Why Oct. often bring 'bad news' for democracy from 1958 to 2026. Saddest part is that each time one party or the other welcomed such moves. On Oct 12th, 1999 when PM Nawaz was sacked PPP welcome the move. Now, PPP and PML(N) agreed to get rid of PTI KP Govt. No lesson learnt.
