Meanwhile, @celliottability says they're the ones waiting for optometrists to come to the table. But behind closed doors, @derabbie & the OAO haven't heard a PEEP in 2+ months.
This table also costs each side $15K/DAY to be at. For that, it better be a table worth being at.

I hope that after the years of neglect, this time the negotiations are serious and resolve the issue. Optometrists deserve to be fairly reimbursed for the important work that they do. Hoping this will #SaveEyeCare.

Very simple ask I have shared w/my MPP since 2019 when we met. @lindseyepark We all went to school for 8 years to be eye docs. I returned from @NECO424 in Boston but many of my classmates stayed in the USA. Its time for Ontario to step up and stop #braindrain #SaveEyeCare #OHIP

I have yearly optometrist appts because I suffered a retina detachment. Those appts are important. Prior to the detachment I had laser surgery on both eyes due to holes. Yearly appts ensure that any problems

Doug @fordnation and Christine @celliottability do not want to come to a deal with optometrists because it would either mean spending a whole lot of money to “catch up” or allow optometrist to “balance bill” which will be politically unpopular. That’s why they want to stall.
