This is, once again, looking like a largely ineffective medication whose reputation for efficacy was built more on pharmaceutical shenanigans than on solid data.

Kraken Robotics’ subsea LiDAR provides operators with an accurate and repeatable way to monitor the long-term movement of critical subsea infrastructure.
Flowlines and jumpers can gradually move over time due to thermal expansion, seabed interaction, and operational loading. Monitoring that movement helps engineers understand asset behaviour, assess long-term trends, and support informed asset integrity decisions.
The video below overlays high-resolution subsea LiDAR datasets acquired in 2016, 2019, and 2024 at approximately 1,500 metres water depth, revealing measurable infrastructure movement over time. The repeat surveys are conducted without any physical contact to the structures/jumpers and provide engineering-grade 3D data in half the time compared to other methods.

🚨Finally hearing first hand what the next evolution of $MDA 's CHORUS Earth Observation constellation could look like.
We speculated it could be streamlined with AURORA and MDA's new high volume manufacturing facility, but hearing it from Mike Greenley himself (who to his credit doesn't divulge much or overpromise) is great.
Leveraging their communications satellite production line and pointing it at earth observation would be a genuine game changer.
ICEYE is valued at 10 billion euros today not just because it sells X-band imagery, but because it streamlined sovereign Earth Observation constellations directly for militaries and governments.
Today, no prime can offer a sovereign C-band constellation. Every commercial SAR player competes in X-band. C-band mainly exists only through RADARSAT (which is $MDA built) and Sentinel 1 (bespoke government program, not commercial).
In its current form, CHORUS pairs MDAs C-band satellite with a trailing high-resolution ICEYE X-band satellite (tip with broad area C-band, cue with X-band).
So by moving CHORUS to high volume production, you can tell governments like Finland, Sweden, Poland, Netherlands, Portugal, etc. who already bought their own sovereign X-band constellations from ICEYE that your next generation can also include a C-band from $MDA. Truly a game changer.
Also, a US sovereign C-band SAR capability is exactly what Golden Dome needs today, and no other commercial partner can fill that gap (kudos to @Vmaxpax for hammering this point).
Pair this with the Blue Canyon Technologies acquisition in Colorado and you get what the roadmap looks like.

A 2026 meta-analysis shows PCT-guided antibiotic decreases antibiotics by 2 days in sepsis. But standard care moving towards shorter courses of antibiotics. Is PCT still adding value, or just beating a comparator that's already becoming obsolete?

A joint statement from Sportsnet and CBC:

ALT After a successful 12-year partnership, Sportsnet and CBC today announced the public broadcaster will no longer carry NHL broadcasts after the current season as it moves forward with a new sports programming strategy following the unprecedented success of the Milano/Cortina Olympic Games. Watching hockey on Saturday night is a time-honoured tradition for Canadians, and Sportsnet is privileged to continue delivering that tradition. This has been a terrific partnership, and both parties look forward to continued opportunities to collaborate in the future.

Lots of misunderstandings here.
First, this isn’t peer reviewed science. This is a press release. The level of evidence is essentially “trust me bro”
Second, sepsis early warning systems have been around for decades. This isn’t new. Most hospitals have systems like this.
Third, and most importantly, the way this intervention reduces the mortality *rate* probably isn’t actually saving any lives. What it’s doing is generating a ton of false positives. These people don’t need antibiotics but get them anyway, leading to side effects and resistance. But if you double the number of people with “suspected sepsis” in the denominator you make the mortality *rate* appear to drop. This is why in an actual published scientific paper we’d look at the number of deaths per year not just a rate. That’s also probably why this is press release and not an actual scientific publication…

🫀 Hyperkalemic Cardiac Arrest: Is It Time to Reconsider Vasopressin?
Hyperkalemia remains one of the most reversible causes of cardiac arrest, yet survival rates remain disappointingly low despite adherence to current Advanced Life Support algorithms.
A newly published experimental study in Scientific Reports explored an intriguing question:
Can vasopressin improve outcomes in hyperkalemic cardiac arrest better than epinephrine?
Using a porcine hyperkalemic cardiac arrest model, investigators compared four strategies:
🔹 Epinephrine + placebo
🔹 Epinephrine + antihyperkalemic therapy
🔹 Vasopressin + placebo
🔹 Vasopressin + antihyperkalemic therapy
The results were interesting.
Vasopressin significantly improved coronary perfusion pressure (CoPP), cerebral perfusion pressure, and brain tissue oxygenation during CPR compared with epinephrine. Most importantly, vasopressin increased the odds of achieving ROSC approximately eight-fold.
Antihyperkalemic therapy also independently increased ROSC rates and improved coronary perfusion.
The most impressive finding?
The combination of vasopressin plus antihyperkalemic therapy achieved a 100% ROSC rate in this experimental model, compared with only 30% in the epinephrine-placebo group.
Interestingly, neither vasopressin nor antihyperkalemic treatment significantly reduced serum potassium levels during CPR. The benefit appeared to arise primarily through improved coronary perfusion rather than accelerated potassium clearance.
This observation challenges a common assumption in hyperkalemic cardiac arrest management:
Perhaps restoring effective myocardial perfusion is at least as important as lowering measured serum potassium during resuscitation.
Of course, these findings come from an animal model and should not immediately alter clinical practice. However, they provide a compelling physiological rationale for further human studies evaluating vasopressin in suspected hyperkalemic cardiac arrest.
So, should future cardiac arrest algorithms become more phenotype-specific rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all vasopressor strategy?

My top 5 best AI stocks to invest in long-term:
These are my biggest positions, and I believe each of these will 10x or more over the next 5 years:
$NBIS: The man who built Russia’s Google, lost it to Putin, and rebuilt from nothing. $46 billion in contracted backlog from Microsoft and Meta. 684% revenue growth year over year. $9.3 billion in cash. ARR guided to $7 to $9 billion by end of 2026. The fastest growing AI infrastructure company most people still haven’t heard of.
$AAOI: Every AI GPU cluster needs optical transceivers. $AAOI makes them. Revenue went from $210 million in 2023 to $456 million in 2025 to a $1 billion+ guide for 2026. $LITE is now $850. $COHR is at $370. $AAOI makes the same products, growing faster than both, at a fraction of the valuation.
$CRDO: Revenue up 205% in fiscal 2026. Earnings up 805%. FY2027 guidance projecting 80%+ growth with optical products contributing over $600 million. 622 employees printing $40 billion in market cap. The AI connectivity play nobody is talking about loudly enough.
$MXL: Q1 2026 revenue up 43% year over year. Infrastructure sales surged 136% and became the core business. Panther V targets AI inference bottlenecks across a $5 billion serviceable market. Benchmark just initiated with a Buy and a $125 price target. Early innings of a full re-rating.
$MRVL: Jensen Huang called it the next trillion dollar company at Computex. They just joined the S&P on Friday. Q1 FY2027 revenue $2.42 billion, up 28% year over year. FY2028 revenue target of $16.5 billion. Custom ASICs and optical interconnects. The custom silicon wave has barely started.
Five different companies. One common purpose. All of them are building the infrastructure the AI era runs on.
I am long all five. Not financial advice. Do your own research.
