#Edmonton is facing a budget black hole & serious service cuts along with a cost of living crisis. So why don’t you @kerentangyeg @AndrewKnack @_TimCartmell accept the offer to deliver Lucy for πŸ†“ safely with the support of 1️⃣ of the 🌍 best 🐘 movers to sanctuary ⁉️

#Friday is a day for learning #Lucy is not old @48 she’s middle aged #Lucy has an undiagnosed respiratory condition that the zoo vets have failed to fully diagnose for over 4 decades. #YegZoo still use silica sand for Lucy’s bedding (silica sand) causes respiratory problems & ♋️

Humans are always allowed a second opinion, so why can’t Lucy have a sanctuary vet second opinion @gdewar Oh sorry that will say :Lucy will be able to travel won’t it & debunk your lies, treachery & πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ media manipulation. @edmonton_anne @kerentangyeg πŸ‘€for budget $ ideas πŸ†“Lucy

#Friday is for learning #Lucy was found to have a 70kg+ uterine tumour in 2022 by outside #Yegzoo vets But research shows that female reproductive tract neoplasia, particularly of the uterus, is common in Asian 🐘so how come #YegZoo vets missed this tumour & its size & symptoms⁉️

On #Saturday 24th of #February pls think of #Lucy. Torn from her natural home and family to suffer decades in πŸ₯ΆπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ zoo captivity. @AmarjeetSohiYEG @edmonton_anne @Erinforanirniq @AshleyASalvador Demand a sanctuary vet ONLY second opinion to Lucy’s 2023 zoo vet assessment on Lucy.

The Stolen 18 -- Swaziland Elephants secretly shipped to the U.S. to avoid court scrutiny

Today, the fight to prevent a lifetime of captivity for 18 elephants, 15 of whom are currently under 12 years of age, came to an abrupt and devious end. As was widely reported over the past couple...

With the birth of Omaha Zoo's 5th baby elephant, let us not forget that his mother was removed from the wild with 17 others to stock our zoos. She was forced to carry and deliver in confinement, where infant mortality is a staggering 40%. Is this conservation? link ⬇️

Without doubt #Lucy feels pain & fear, she’s also clearly suffering from the psychological trauma captivity & isolation brings. Transportation to sanctuary would but in a Luxury 🐘transporter with specialist🐘vets on tap all the way. But still @AmarjeetSohiYEG won’t let #LUCY go.

The sad thing is, they think we believe their hogwash. That $25k could have gone towards sending #LUCY to a sanctuary instead of going into that "vets" pocket

One of the vets Gary paid $25k 2️⃣ for a no in 2022 said traffic would upset Lucy if she was to 🧳 to Sanctuary. But LucyπŸ‘‚& πŸ‘€ zoo vehicles daily. She’s 🧳in them when she younger so how can a so called distinguished vet say something so silly ? Oh sorry it’s to πŸ›‘her leaving

It’s seems hard to believe that the @CityofEdmonton πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ won’t recognise that Asian elephants should have autonomy over their own lives, which includes living with a 🐘🐘 herd. A first 🌍 country & City Council going backwards. EDMONTON πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ @JustinTrudeau #FreeLucy2Sanctuary
