The fans are probably gonna lose patience with Xabi Alonso in record time… all because of him losing to Spurs at home. Which is a shame
I lost patience with Conte when he lost to Spurs because we won the title the year before. I had expectations
Why was he hired? Ok let’s look at the facts here:
1. In a manager market that the hierarchy was forced to go into by a petty and unprofessional Maresca and an out of his depth Rosenior… Chelsea walked away with the best one in Alonso
This quoted post is unavailable.
doesn’t want us to have possession for the sake of it. Like Maresca for example, he wants us to be able to make good decisions in possession rather than just constantly passing it sideways and backwards that leads to 3-4 shots in a game
2. The idea that long-term Alonso doesn’t want to play possession-based football is a hilarious mindset. It was reported by many that Alonso wanted to keep Fernandez, as he wanted a controller in the team. He wants that to be the way we play but he also…
The funny thing about this whole Enzo Fernandez situation is this move makes no sense for either party
He’s not a proper Rodri replacement for Man City and makes them unbalanced in midfield. While Chelsea clearly needs a player like Enzo for Xabi’s team. Circus
Alex Scott hasn’t even had an international cap. Yet we’re talking about him being the main replacement for a World Cup winner?
Has to be some sort of joke surely
Replying to @MG09123
Alex Scott would be a great signing showing the clubs intent, even if it via an inflated bid. They will likely try once Enzo situation resolves.
God that’s dire. We were making progress in the transfer window and now we’re taking a backwards step again
Why is Alex Scott being talked about as an Enzo Fernandez replacement… a World Cup winner. Scott hasn’t even been given a international cap
“Ready if he goes” and then you see those names mentioned
No knock against any of these players but none of them are better than Enzo. Wharton is the closest to that quality but even then he doesn’t have Enzo’s leadership
BTW if you’ve been following @siphillipssport and @TheBluesFeed you will know Chelsea have been looking at midfield replacements for Enzo all summer in case he left.
Wharton, Zubimendi and Scott all strongly linked. We’re ready if he goes.
Really disappointed with this. I gave Chelsea props for giving a deadline and standing firm against a disrespectful Man City and Enzo Maresca
Now they’re caving the first chance they get. Not to mention the uninspiring “replacements” we’ve been looking at. Frustrating #CFC
🚨 BREAKING: Man City face having to pay more than £120m to land Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea would look to replace if he leaves and could try again for Alex Scott. (@Matt_Law_DT) telegraph.co.uk/football/202…
Games already being played. Man City are not acting respectfully at all
1. They unethically take our manager and contribute to last season’s collapse
2. Now they’re trying take us for a ride in this Enzo Fernandez saga
Very proud of the way Chelsea have behaved here #CFC
Chelsea don't want to be scrambling to get a replacement for Enzo. Clubs will likely put up asking prices for potential replacements if Chelsea get 120m in the bank. City will be trying to find out privatley if their stance is as firm as it is in the public. (@Sjohnsonsport @samlee) nytimes.com/athletic/7509408…
It’s getting cold 🥶
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea reach verbal agreement with Aston Villa to sign Morgan Rogers. Bid of £117m accepted by #AVFC & being finalised. 6+1y contract, medical Monday. #AFC interested but 23yo attacker wanted #CFC; Xabi Alonso instrumental @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/6390212…
Genuinely don’t see the difference between the Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid saga and Joao Pedro to Barcelona saga
Both would jump at the chance of joining those sides in the current circumstances. The only difference is Pastore, if he didn’t open his mouth then no problem
Yeah time to take a break away from Chelsea news
Early signs shows it’s the same old same old. Hope I’m wrong
🚨🔵 Exclusive: Chelsea agree deal to sign 17 year old talented centre back Alfie Osborne from Hearts. 🏴
Scotland U19 centre back accepted the proposal and completed his medical, signing a long term contract.
Osborne picked #CFC ahead of offers from more clubs across Europe.
So you’re telling me, the one player Alonso specifically asked for we’re too cheap to even get
Pathetic
Call me crazy but I’d still be up for keeping Enzo Fernandez
Under these circumstances though
1. He signs a new contract with improved wages (what he deserves)
2. He sacks his agent who has caused all this trouble
3. He makes an apology to the fans
#LATEST: Enzo Fernandez will want to hear evidence that Chelsea will be title contenders if he is to stay.
(@SJohnsonSport) #BlueCo #CFC
Javier Pastore worst agent ever?
Enzo Fernandez has messed up massively. It’s either he forces a move to any club that would want him, or he stays here signs a new deal and sacks Pastore. Feel slightly sorry for him, he’s been advised badly
🚨 BREAKING: Real Madrid confirm ZERO talks to sign Enzo Fernández. 🤍❌
“In light of the reports and statements that have appeared in recent days regarding Real Madrid C.F.'s alleged interest in the player Enzo Fernández, the club wishes to state that it has not made any efforts, either directly or indirectly, to sign the aforementioned player and, furthermore, has no intention of undertaking such a transfer.
Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost respect for Enzo Fernández, a great footballer whose career and quality are widely recognized, as well as for Chelsea FC, a club with which it maintains an excellent institutional relationship.
Precisely out of respect for an institution like Chelsea FC and due to the principles of institutional loyalty that have always guided Real Madrid's actions, the club considers it necessary to categorically deny these unfounded speculations, which are completely untrue.
Real Madrid regrets that, despite the clarity of the facts and the lack of any action on the part of the club, information continues to be disseminated that does not correspond to reality and that only contributes to generating confusion among fans and unnecessarily harming the entities and people involved.”
