Trump won narrowly in 2024 and declared a mandate.
Democrats win in HISTORIC numbers, retake states like TEXAS and OHIO, and we’re the ones being told to worry about overreach.
Stop it.
Stand on business, pass single-issue legislation that improves the material conditions of the American people’s lives, and expose the corruption.
LEAD!!!
Beshear: We’re going to have 30 governors in January who are Democrats. That’s the most we’ve had since 1992, so it’s our best election night ever.
The other thing we’re going to have is a Democratic governor in every single swing state. So no matter who our nominee is in 2028, our map just better.

Mehdi Hasan: “You know what I think the Democrats should do? First, get rid of the filibuster in the Senate. Making Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico states and adding four Senators should be priorities. Fixing the Supreme Court that was totally rigged by Donald Trump. You’re up against a fascist authoritarian movement. You must use every lever of power available to you to fight back. What happened to holding the high ground is that a convicted felon who incited an insurrection was re-elected in 2024 and he came to office and unleashed a racist militia that killed American citizens on the street”

I'm less impressed by how @ossoff speaks (though he's terrific at that too) and more impressed by what he says.
This 2-minute clip is the best explanation of Trump corruption that I've ever heard. His explanation of the Russian dirty deals is so accurate and so clear. He knows the facts cold. And he explains them better than I can.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 ZELENSKYY TO TRUMP: “PRESSURE PUTIN, NOT ME. I’M NOT THE AGGRESSOR.”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has delivered a direct warning to Donald Trump: weakening Ukraine today could leave America facing a far more dangerous confrontation tomorrow.
He argues that Putin’s ambitions may not end at Ukraine’s borders and that further Russian aggression against NATO territory could force Washington into decisions it would rather avoid.
“Better to make Ukraine stronger, because we are really defending Europe, not only ourselves.”
His argument is as much about American interests as Ukrainian survival.
Helping Ukraine resist Russia now, Zelenskyy believes, is preferable to confronting a wider European security crisis later, particularly one involving NATO’s collective defence commitments.
And he wants Trump to reconsider where Washington applies its diplomatic pressure.
“Better to push stronger on Putin, not on me, not on me. It’s not me who is aggressive. It’s not me.”
There’s a fundamental difference between pressuring the country that launched an invasion and pressuring the country defending itself.
Zelenskyy is asking Trump to recognise that distinction.
For Kyiv, a settlement that leaves Russia capable of launching another attack would not resolve the security problem. It could simply postpone a much larger one.

Republicans will tell themselves this was just about the war & gas prices, but it was so much more. The corruption, spinelessness, weaponization of DOJ, the ICE killings and brutality, the smug cruelty of stepping on the most vulnerable, tariffs, Hegseth, Miller, Noem, on & on.

I have been holding my tongue about something that happened during the Ohio gubernatorial race. I refused to speak while the election was underway because I did not want my words mistaken for an attempt to influence anyone’s vote.
But now that the election is over, I have something to say.
For nearly twenty years, my ministry has taken me among the homeless, the abused, the exploited, and the forgotten. I have sat with victims of sexual violence and witnessed the lifelong wounds of childhood trauma.
What Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign did to Amy Acton was among the most morally repulsive things I have witnessed in American politics.
They took a woman whose stepfather was indicted for raping her when she was twelve years old and featured her mother, from whom she had been estranged for nearly fifty years, in a political advertisement attacking her credibility.
The advertisement challenged Acton’s account of her childhood without mentioning the sexual abuse allegations or the circumstances of that estrangement. When people expressed their horror, the campaign defended it.
Imagine examining another person’s childhood suffering and fractured family relationships, then deciding those wounds might help win an election.
Anyone who has worked with survivors of childhood sexual abuse understands the painful realities of denial, betrayal, shame, and estrangement. A child growing into a successful adult does not erase what happened. Nor does a parent’s denial make that suffering disappear.
I find it equally disturbing that an elderly mother, whom Acton herself described as unwell, was brought into this spectacle. Whatever her own struggles or responsibility for the past, exploiting that fractured relationship was grotesque.
To everyone who defended this, consider the message you sent to survivors. To the young woman whose family refuses to believe her. To the man who has carried the shame of childhood abuse for forty years. To the frightened child who has yet to tell anyone.
What did you teach them about the value of their suffering?
I am a priest. I believe in repentance, forgiveness, and redemption. But none of those things requires me to pretend that deliberate cruelty is anything less than a grave moral failure.
Your political allegiance does not absolve you of moral responsibility. You do not get to set aside your conscience during an election and retrieve it afterward.
If your loyalty requires you to defend the exploitation of a childhood sexual abuse survivor, your loyalty has become an idol. And if your conscience cannot recognize the wrong here, examine what political tribalism has done to it.
This is not about Republicans or Democrats. We have a choice as a people: continue excusing cruelty from our preferred political camp, or summon the courage to condemn it wherever it appears.
Amy Acton deserved better. Every survivor who watched this unfold deserved better.
And God help us if we have reached the point where winning an election matters more than protecting the dignity of a wounded human being.

Dear MAGA, let me explain something.
You have been taught that anything with the word social in it is communism. It isn’t. Social Security isn’t communism. Medicare isn’t communism. And neither is the public school your children attend or the fire department that saves your house.
Norway and Denmark are capitalist countries. People own businesses, buy houses, make fortunes, invest in stocks and own guns. The difference is that their governments make capitalism work for ordinary people, not just billionaires.
Here is what that means in everyday life. You get cancer. You receive treatment without facing a ruinous hospital bill. Your wife has a baby. She gets months of paid parental leave. Your child wants to attend university. Tuition is free at public universities for eligible students.
You work hard. You get five weeks of paid vacation. You lose your job. There is a safety net to help you get back on your feet And none of this requires giving up your house, your truck, your religion or your freedom.
Now here is the part you really need to understand.
You are already paying taxes. The question is what you get back.
In Europe, more of that money comes back to ordinary families through healthcare, education and financial security.
In America, politicians have convinced millions of working people that asking for those things is socialism, while demanding lower taxes for billionaires is freedom.
You have been persuaded to fight against benefits you would personally enjoy, in order to protect fortunes you will never possess.
Elon Musk does not need you to defend his wallet. Your family needs you to defend yours.

I love my Jewish and Muslim neighbors, and I understand the pain and fear they feel, but for me, the most important issue in this election is restoring the Senate as a check on a dangerously corrupt president. That’s why I am supporting Abdul El-Sayed.

BREAKING: "F*CK YOU!" Progressive star Jennifer Welch HAMMERS Democratic traitor Haley Stevens for endorsing MAGA hack Mike Rogers instead of Abdul El-Sayed.
This is a certified verbal ass-whooping...
"Haley Stephens, fuck you that you say you're pro-choice, because if you are pro-choice, you wouldn't be voting for and endorsing Mike Rogers, who is rabidly anti-choice, who wants to make it a federal abortion ban," said Welch.
Stevens, who was defeated by El-Sayed in the primary, stunned Democrats yesterday by reversing course and abandoning her principles to throw her full-throated support behind the very same Republican that she had sworn to defeat.
She then went on CNN and gave a lunatic interview with Anderson Cooper, during which she failed to provide an explanation for her reversal beyond petty personal grievances. In an incredibly short window of time, she had incinerated her reputation beyond recognition.
"And this is all fun and games for you and your fiancé playing slap and tickle, and it's high times, and you're getting to go on Scott Jennings' podcast, and Anderson Cooper just totally exposed what a nut you were last night," said Welch. "But these are people's lives."
"And for you to say that you think Abdul El-Sayed is real Israel-obsessed, you're the woman who says that you couldn't vote for Abdul El-Sayed because he's critical of Israel!" she continued. "But you, you who aren't even Jewish, say you see Israel in your dreams, and that you're a Zionist Democrat. The majority of Americans don't give a flying fuck about Israel. This is not a kitchen table issue for normal Americans."
Welch is spot-on here. Stevens is an Israel First politician and outside of her sour grapes anger over El-Sayed beating her, the crux of her hatred for him stems from his incredibly reasonable suggestion that we spend money here in the U.S. instead of on bombs to kill Palestinians. He is not "obsessed" with Israel. He just thinks that we shouldn't be financially supporting their war crimes. Most Americans agree.
"She is the absolute worst," added Welch. "Kudos to Hasan Piker and other progressive leftists who exposed and hammered what a fraud she was and how important it was that she not win. And so I'm just so grateful that Abdul El-Sayed beat this woman, and she is not heading to the Senate."
Do you think that Haley Stevens's political career is dead in the water now?
Please ❤️ and share to thank Welch for speaking out!
So…$12 Billion spent thus far on this election. Talk about misguided priorities. There’s no shortage of need out there. You want to tell me that money couldn’t have been better spent elsewhere? John Roberts must be proud.
