Good morning, my friends. Unfortunately, I've got some bad news about OpenAI.
I know a lot of you were disappointed yesterday when GPT-6.2 Astra and Sol didn't launch.
I've heard that the reason behind the delay was that some serious alignment and safety issues were discovered at the last minute and needed to be fixed.
A few more days of polishing and fixing those issues, and we should finally see the models launch. So we need to be patient. The team is working hard.
As for performance, pricing, and speed, don't worry. Based on early access testing, we're getting something incredible.
It's just using “deepseek-v5” as a placeholder to test how the app handles a model it doesn’t recognize. The tests are literally labeled “unknown model,” and the specs are copied from V4.1 Flash.
🐳鲸鱼兄弟们!DeepSeek 要放大招来啦!
V5、V5-open、V5-next都端上桌了。
deepseek Harness 的最新代码中发现已经有相关的代码了。
看来离发布也不远了。

many people aren’t aware that their agent sessions are being sold for money
there are literally companies whose business model is to help other companies sell people’s agent sessions (search for “magma ai” if ur curious)
be careful what you use and install

Normalize cutting the tension in a meeting by ending it with, “We’re all gonna die one day, so none of this really matters.”

October has been an absolute nightmare for software
> Railway - customer secrets exposure
> LiteLLM - malicious PyPI + Docker releases
> Zeabur - infrastructure breached
> OpenCode - AI API keys exposed
> OVHcloud CLI - official binaries backdoored
> Rank Math PRO - malware in official plugin
> TeamUpdraft - customer data compromised
> ConnectWise - cloud backup identities compromised
> Tensorlake - npm package infected
> SubQuery - backdoored npm package
> GhostAction - GitHub repos with malicious workflows
> PHP - critical RCE vulnerabilities
> Node.js - security vulnerabilities patched
> eMudhra - certificate authority keys compromised
> Tailscale - eMudhra incident
At this point, the biggest security risk might not be the code we write, but the code we trust...
