In November 636, Arab armies began the siege of Jerusalem and their colonization of the Land of Israel. The Kingdom of Israel had already existed for more than 1,600 years. Neo-Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, and Byzantines had all ruled the region. Jews and Samaritans were still the indigenous majority. The conquest was followed by settlement of Arabian tribes, the Pact of Umar (which imposed the jizya and barred Jews from building synagogues, riding certain animals, or holding equal legal status), and centuries of discriminatory rules that gradually reduced the original populations. By the 9th century, Islam was the majority religion and Arabic the dominant language. The Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa were built directly atop the ruins of the Jewish Temples. This was settler colonialism.

I too am on the side that tries to find a cure for cancer that will benefit people around the world. Who on earth wdn’t be? Far too many people have had the pain of watching someone they love die from cancer or live with its evil consequences.
After Israeli jets and American B-2 bombers destroyed Iran’s nuclear reactors, Tehran struck back at Israel's Weizmann Institute destroying its cancer research unit, which Douglas Murray says 'tells us an awful lot' about the moral gap between Israel and its enemies. "What matters are the net benefits of being in." Few entryists seem to mention the costs.........of application
As we get closer to EU, silly stories about crisps, ketchup, etc. drift back. Most are nonsense. But occasionally -yes- like any human endeavour, EU does something daft. That was not a reason to leave. It's not a reason to stay out. What matters are the net benefits of being in.

This is just a single example of much #islamist entryism into our institutions large and small in their attempts to subvert British society. Govt. is turning a blind eye to these incursions to subvert our way of life to their cause. The amber light is flashing.
Why are Birmingham councillors banging on about Palestine issues? Could this be perceived are using their powerbase for their own agenda rather than Birmingham people?

Abdul El-Sayed is the personification of the red-green alliance. This does not bode well.

I had this same discussion with one of my Emirati friends and he said the same thing. When democracy is used as a tool for sinister means it is no longer democracy but rather a facade. Democracy is incompatible with tribalism.

Ever wondered why N.Africans speak Arabic? Before #Islam languages from west to east were Berber African Romance Punic Coptic Greek Nubian

"but neither should that stop me from supporting a party that's already prepared to challenge the status quo." Yes the status quo on being a closet #antisemite; now I can be an open #antisemite.........ooops....anti #Zionist
After quite a bit of thought and deliberation, I've joined @TheGreenParty! My hesitation has never been about the principles the Greens stand for, but about my belief that real, lasting change must go beyond party politics. We can't rely solely on short-term election cycles to deliver the fundamental transformation our world needs. I believe the real power for change lies with people. In building collective civic power. Demonstrating what's possible and creating the public demand and political mandate for a better future. Politics should respond to that demand, enabling change rather than determining the limits of what's possible. But here's the thing... the Greens are already calling for so much of the change we desperately need. I've been increasingly encouraged by @ZackPolanski and the Greens' willingness to challenge the political consensus on Gaza, climate change, inequality and the need to fundamentally rethink our economy. At a time when so much of politics is driven by short-term electoral calculations, vested interests and political convenience, that matters more than ever. My conviction that lasting change must be built from the ground up hasn't changed, but neither should that stop me from supporting a party that's already prepared to challenge the status quo. We need to build the public demand for a better future, and we should recognise those who are already fighting to deliver it. That's why I've decided to join the Greens! 💚

#Tories are the last hope for real democracy. The rest are populists and we know where populism leads
Lets face it; Burnham is actually worse than Starmer but with added stupidity. A fake nostalgic 1970s class obsessed Manc caricature, badly informed and a deranged man who sees Neal Kinnock as a hero. A short premiership beckons. He is taking the p*ss.

Lawyers are supposed to be masters of English language so why do so many use the term genocide when by any interpretation of that language the "G" term is simply not encompassed by any definition? Quite simply they have an antipathy towards #Jews which is now de rigueur for them
17
It`s now obvious that populism in this country is a three horse race

This seems a very unwise and reactive response from Green 4 Palestine. Even I am shocked and I have zero respect for them. Placing "Israel" in quotation marks is deeply politically disrespectful @ZackPolanski and calling Israel a "racist project" is vile. Further - the mention of "apartheid" is clearly not evidenced by the recent election where, in a free and fair election, Arab voters have achieved an unprecedented number of seats. teapaw.org/Greens4P/status/211756…

On this day—November 2, 1945 Arab mobs in British-occupied Tripoli and Benghazi massacred 130+ Jews in three days of barbaric violence. Synagogues were burned, homes were looted, and entire families were wiped out. The British intervened slowly and inadequately. Violence against Jews spread across the Arab world. Two years later, on November 24, 1947, the head of the Egyptian delegation to the UN warned the establishment of a Jewish state would threaten “the lives of millions of Jews in Muslim countries” and “create in these countries an antisemitism even more difficult to uproot than the antisemitism the Allies tried to eradicate in Germany.” That prophecy was fulfilled almost immediately. After the November 29 UN partition vote, Jewish communities in Aden (80+ killed), Bahrain, Syria, and Egypt came under attack. In Mandate Palestine, Jews were attacked within hours. The targets were Jewish civilians, including bus ambushes, market massacres, ambushed convoys, and bodies were often mutilated. The war cry was “Itbah al-Yahud”—slaughter the Jews. The Secretary-General of the Arab League declared against the Jews, “a war of extermination and a momentous massacre that will be remembered like the Mongol massacres and the Crusades.” The ancient Jewish communities in what had become the Arab world were from there systematically attacked and ethnically cleansed.

A fine example of why this country is in such a state when a senior minister knows f*** all about matters she should have been prepared for. Heaven knows if she had to decide on some sort of emergency reaction to an unexpected happening....
Cruel, perhaps, to remind people how utterly useless Emma Reynolds is. But then I remember she’s paid a lot of money to be useless. So who is really being cruel?

Would any prospective Arab members of the Knesset take an oath of allegiance to the State of Israel? Would any Jewish parties accept an Arab in coalition based on that undertaking?

If Palestinians are indigenous to Gaza: 1. Then why did the ancient 6th-century mosaic floor discovered on a Gaza beach feature King David playing a harp, Hebrew inscriptions, and a menorah? 2. Then why were the original Philistines an extinct Greek seafaring people from Crete who spoke an Aegean language, rather than Arabs who arrived 1,800 years later from the Arabian Peninsula? 3. Then why was Gaza home to an active Jewish community for over 3,000 years, until Arab pogroms ethnically cleansed the Jews in 1929? Who are the colonizers again? - Mike Pauker

On this day in 1290, England’s Jews faced the deadline to leave their country under King Edward I’s expulsion order. Families uprooted. Communities erased. All for being Jewish. Antisemitism did not begin in the 20th century. Remembering its history matters.
