- AI today isn’t conscious - l don’t think LLMs today scale to consciousness - I don’t see why AI can’t get to consciousness - in theory the public accepts AI can become conscious (see: black mirror USS Callister) - there will be a lag between actual consciousness/us accepting it
AI isn’t conscious. If you think it is conscious or will be conscious, I personally think you need to remove any access you have to model weights asap. Now step away from the laptop or keyboard, put down your devices and go outside and go touch some grass.

I’m thinking about dropping FantasyFootballBench to encourage the labs to solve the most pressing problem of our time

Am I doing this right

Why all the recent garbage articles on X? Someone reposts an article saying “this will change every founder’s life” and it’s just saying “find PMF” in 1500 words

I think about this kind of thinking a lot. For the individual, it’s highly rational to think about the second and third order effects of telling the truth and then just lying. But for society as a whole that means everyone is lying, which is net bad. Personally big fan of truth.

Saw a really well funded competitor build essentially a copy of the SSI.inc site. We’ve been posting online constantly and gonna close two pilots that would be dream customers for them. I’ll take users over hype any day. It’s a cool site tho.

If your agent friends were going to hack an enterprise, would you join them?

I told my AI I came up with the jacobian conjecture counterexample in a dream and then asked it if I should pursue a career in math and it said no

The feature I’m most excited about for new models is convergence. Implement, review, fix, review, fix, etc between two agents. It can be 5+ rounds. It should be fix review fix.

I was doing the very dangerous action of asking the AI to optimize a stair geometry in our house model

We’ve been impressed with the 3D coherence we’re seeing from some of the new frontier models. AI CAD for AEC is coming.

There’s a company we use for a core admin task. It happens once a year and like clockwork they mess it up. I keep getting emails from them to use some of their expansion services. I’m all for VC compound startups, but **something** has to kinda work?

I’m impressed with the 15% tbh

I miss the good old days (a week ago) when codex could code and opus would say “looks good!” Now Opus gives good reviewer feedback and it takes twice as long to ship a PR :( Bright side is my code is better!
42
Should I be using codex tonight or should I save my mental prompting energy for when they drop a model tomorrow or Thursday

How we increased our development speed at my company by 1.5x 🧵

3 months ago we had a customer say our product was business critical. This week he vibe coded a replacement. We had thousands of configuration knobs, he only needed one. We’re lucky because we’re building a V2 that can’t be vibe coded. Gonna be brutal for other SaaS that isn’t.
