By popular demand, here’s the full #LadderGate2026 sermon illustration. Week 7 of series through 2 Timothy, right after a few hundred people surrendered to Christ and are deciding whether to be obedient in baptism next week. Would do this again a thousand times for those ppl (if I weren’t getting too old for stuff like this!)

This video on Christianity and Islam was censored for a "community guidelines violation" on Pastor @howertonjosh's @tiktok_us. Don't forget how quickly heavy-handed censorship can be used to suppress the truth. They did in 2020, they will do it again.
Jesus revealed what the proverbial "final boss" of Christianity will be. This conversation may be uncomfortable, but pastors no longer have the luxury of avoiding it. To all who have ears, let them hear. @PhilipAMitchell x @TheLiveFreePod

If you listen to one thing today, let it be this warning. ‼️ "The former home base for operations for the Apostle Paul. Where Jesus wrote letters to the churches. (Turkey) is now 98% Muslim." Contending for the Faith is not political. Calling out Islam is not political. 🔥 Find Pastors and Preachers like this. Ones that will embolden you to take a stand for Christianity as we approach the last days. Lend your ear to them. Well done, my brothers in Christ. ⚔️✝️ @howertonjosh @PhilipAMitchell

KIOWA PILOTS WERE A DIFFERENT BREED OF CRAZY DURING THE GWOT. 🇺🇸 If you were ever in a firefight and heard an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior coming overhead, you knew somebody had your back. Those pilots would fly low, get right into the fight, and put themselves in harm's way to help the guys on the ground. They weren't sitting miles away watching the fight. They were right there with us, hunting the enemy, calling out threats, and putting rockets and .50-cal fire where it was needed. And sometimes, just hearing those rotors overhead was enough to make you feel a whole lot better about a shitty situation. A lot of us made it home because of the guys flying those little helicopters. 👇 GWOT VETS — WHO HAD KIOWA PILOTS SAVE THEIR ASS IN IRAQ OR AFGHANISTAN? LET'S HEAR YOUR STORIES. 🛬 IF YOU FLEW INTO IRAQ DURING THE GWOT, YOU REMEMBER THAT RED LIGHT or GREEN LIGHT. C-130 or C-17. Didn’t matter. Everything was normal… then the cabin lights went RED or GREEN. Next thing you know, the aircraft is banking hard, dropping altitude, engines screaming, and you’re strapped into a seat wearing body armor, wondering if the Air Force just forgot we were back there. That tactical approach into BIAP, Balad, or whatever airfield you were headed to was your official notification: Welcome to Iraq with a puke bag. Then the wheels slammed down, everybody looked at each other, and somebody inevitably said: “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?” First tactical landing during the GWOT was something you never forgot. 👇 Where did you experience yours? @Boots_N_Chutes @cmrowe77 #GWOT #Iraq #C130 #C17 #MilitaryHumor

🚁IF YOU EVER STEPPED OFF A HELICOPTER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT DURING THE GWOT… YOU KNOW. The ramp drops. Rotor wash hits you like a wall. Dust and rocks are flying everywhere—NVGs on. Weapon in your hands. Ruck pulling you backward. You step off and can barely see 20 feet in front of you. Then the helicopter lifts. And THAT was the moment. The engines fade into the distance… The rotor noise disappears… And suddenly it’s quiet. Pitch black. Middle of nowhere. Just you, your boys, and whatever was waiting out there. No turning around. No “actually, take me back.” You just tightened your grip on your kit, moved out with the man in front of you, and started walking. Funny how decades later you can still remember exactly what that rotor wash felt like. 🇺🇸👇 Who remembers watching that bird disappear into the darkness? @Boots_N_Chutes @cmrowe77 @dropzonebrief

Earlier this year, my husband Abraham was diagnosed with a very rare bone cancer. This has been a challenging time for us and is hard to talk about. But so many of you have reached out asking how he’s doing, and sharing your prayers and well wishes with us. We made this video to share a little about what this journey has been like, and to update you on his recovery. Mahalo for all of the love and support 🙏🏽

It is with profound sorrow that we bid farewell to Jeanne Gibson, our beloved Rosie the Riveter, has passed away today, July 29, 2026, at the remarkable age of 100. With her passing, we don't simply mourn the loss of a beloved friend, we honor the life of an American hero whose courage, dedication, and unwavering spirit helped shape history, and will continue to inspire generations to come.📷📷 At just 18 years old, Jeanne left her home in Minnesota in the summer of 1944 and answered her nation's call, becoming a welder at Todd Pacific Shipyards in Seattle. With determination and grit, she helped build destroyers that strengthened the Allied war effort during World War II. She later continued her service with the Army Transportation Corps in Juneau, Alaska, embodying the resilience and patriotism of the Greatest Generation. Yet Jeanne's legacy extended far beyond the war. She earned her Ph.D., dedicated three decades to teaching, earned her private pilot license, and spent the rest of her life proving that courage, determination, and purpose know no age. In 2024, Jeanne and her fellow Rosies were collectively awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, one of our nation's highest civilian honors, recognizing the extraordinary women whose sacrifices and determination helped secure victory during World War II. To all of us at Pacific Historic Parks, Jeanne was far more than a Rosie, she was family. She traveled to Hawaiʻi time and again to share her remarkable story with visitors, inspire local students, and ensure that the sacrifices of the Home Front would never be forgotten. Her radiant smile, generous heart, and boundless enthusiasm touched every life she encountered. She had a special gift for encouraging young girls, reminding them that no dream was too big and no obstacle too great. Through her words and her example, she inspired generations to believe in themselves and pursue lives of courage, service, and purpose. Jeanne remained a tireless advocate for preserving the legacy of the Rosies, volunteering at Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park on "Rosie Fridays" and ensuring the stories of the women who helped win the war would continue to inspire future generations. In one of life's poignant moments, just days before her passing, Jeanne was celebrated with a Wall of Honor banner at the park she loved so dearly and recognized during a San Jose Earthquakes halftime ceremony honoring Bay Area heroes. It was a fitting tribute to a woman whose life was defined by selfless service, quiet strength, and extraordinary grace. Though Jeanne has taken her final flight, her legacy will never fade. It lives on in every story she shared, every young person she inspired, every life she touched, and in the enduring example of courage she leaves behind. Our hearts are with Jeanne's family, her fellow Rosies, and all who were blessed to know and love her. Rest in peace, Jeanne Gibson. Thank you for answering the call when your country needed you most. Thank you for showing generations what courage looks like. We will remember you always

Former DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6) Gold Squadron operator Michael “Mikey” Owings spent decades surviving the world’s most dangerous places, only to be nearly killed a half mile from his own front door. On February 4, 2026, in Lake Wales, Florida, Owings was waiting to turn onto his own street when two vehicles collided just ahead of him and slammed into his car and the one behind it. The wreck on Route 60 involved multiple cars and 11 people. Four died at the scene. Owings was airlifted in critical condition and has since undergone multiple surgeries while continuing his long road to recovery. The bitter irony has not been lost on those who know him. Fellow SEAL Michael Gray captured it plainly: "Mikey faced unimaginable dangers to keep the rest of us safe, yet he survived the battlefield only to be nearly broken by a local traffic accident on American soil. A man who absorbed risk for strangers half a world away was taken down not by an enemy, but by two cars he never saw coming, just feet from home." Friends and family launched a GoFundMe to help with his mounting medical bills and his family’s expenses during his recovery. As of July 23, 2026, over $160,000 has been donated. Keep fighting, Mikey 🔱

He told his students to go to the windows. Get out. Jump if you have to. Then Liviu Librescu walked to the classroom door and pressed his body against it. He was 76 years old. He weighed 140 lbs The gunman was in the hallway. It was April 16, 2007. A Monday morning. Solid mechanics class at Virginia Tech, Room 204. Twenty-two students, most of them 19 or 20 years old. At 9:45 AM, gunshots echoed through Norris Hall. Room by room, the shooter was working his way down the corridor. Liviu heard it. He understood immediately. He had survived the Holocaust. He had survived a labor camp. He had spent decades living under Communist oppression. He knew exactly what evil sounded like. He told his students to escape through the windows. Second floor — it was a drop, but they'd survive. Then he walked to the door and held it shut with his body. The shooter tried to force it open. It wouldn't move. He fired through the door. Wood splintered. Bullets came through. Liviu stayed. Behind him, students were climbing out the windows. Dropping to the ground. Running. One by one, all twenty-two of them got out. The shooter kept firing through the door. Liviu held it shut until every student was safe. Then the bullets killed him. When police arrived, they found his body at the door. All 22 of his students survived. Not one was injured. Liviu Librescu was born on August 18, 1930, in Ploiești, Romania. He was Jewish. In 1941, when he was eleven years old, Romanian authorities sent him and his family to a labor camp. His father died there. Liviu survived. When the war ended, he was fifteen. He went back to school. Studied engineering. Earned a doctorate from the University of Bucharest. But Communist Romania had no interest in allowing a Jewish intellectual to succeed. He was blocked from academic positions. Passed over for jobs he deserved. He applied to emigrate. The government kept refusing. Finally, in 1978 when Liviu was 48 years old — Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin personally intervened. Romania let him go. He had spent most of his adult life trapped in a country that didn't want him. In Israel, he taught at Tel Aviv University. Published over 300 papers. Became an international expert in aeroelasticity — the science of how air flows over aircraft wings. In 1985, Virginia Tech offered him a position. He moved to Blacksburg, Virginia. He taught there for 22 years. His students loved him — demanding but kind, high standards, genuine care. He was still teaching full-time at 76. Still publishing research. Still showing up every Monday morning for solid mechanics. April 16 was the first day of Passover — the Jewish holiday celebrating liberation from slavery and oppression. Liviu Librescu died on the day his tradition sets aside to celebrate freedom. He spent his entire life escaping death and oppression by luck, by persistence, by the intervention of others. And on his last morning, he chose to stand at a door so that twenty-two young people could have the future he had fought so hard to reach. He could have run. He could have hidden. He could have climbed out a window with his students. He chose to stay. The Virginia Tech shooting killed 32 people that day — the deadliest school shooting in American history at the time. Room 204 had zero casualties. Because a 76-year-old Holocaust survivor held a door with his body until every student behind him was gone. His funeral was held in Israel. Students from Virginia Tech flew across the ocean to honor him. The Israeli government awarded him the Star of David Medal posthumously. Virginia Tech named a scholarship in his memory. His son said his father died the way he lived — protecting others. A man who survived everything evil threw at him for 76 years. On his last day, he made sure 22 kids survived too. Professor Liviu Librescu. August 18, 1930 — April 16, 2007. Holocaust survivor. Labor camp survivor. 302 published papers. 22 years at Virginia Tech. 22 students out the window. He held the door.
