🏗️🇿🇼 MAZOWE IS CHANGING — AND A NEW COMMERCIAL HUB IS AT THE CENTRE OF IT. Just 40km north of Harare, Mazowe Walk, managed by Eagle Asset Management, has opened its first phase along the Harare–Kanyemba Highway, bringing a modern retail destination to a district traditionally known for citrus farming and mining. The development includes SPAR, food outlets, medical facilities, entertainment, landscaped public spaces and more, with Phase 1 already more than 90% occupied. And this is only the beginning. Phase 2 is in the pipeline, while Phase 3 is planned to include residential apartments around the retail development. With the Mazowe Road Dualisation Project expected to increase traffic along the corridor, Mazowe Walk could further strengthen the district's position as a growing commercial hub. 📍 Mazowe, Mashonaland Central 🇿🇼 📖 Read the full Mazowe Walk feature in Structure & Design Issue 89 – issuu.com/structuredesign/do… #StructureAndDesign #MazoweWalk #EagleAssetManagement #Mazowe #Zimbabwe #PropertyDevelopment #Construction #Architecture #ZimbabweDevelopment @MatamboT97 @ZimGvt_NDS1 @mwana_wangu @Twinsis50497431 @Mavis_Jongwe @Savheya_Happie @enkudheni – at Harare, Zimbabwe

🛢️ MUSUMA-1: RIG-UP AND EQUIPMENT MOBILISATION UNDERWAY Preparations for the Musuma-1 exploration well in Zimbabwe’s Cabora Bassa Basin are progressing, with Invictus Energy confirming that rig-up operations and well services equipment mobilisation have commenced. Following its successful relocation from the Mukuyu-2 wellsite, Exalo Rig 202 is now positioned at Musuma-1, where installation, maintenance and testing activities are underway ahead of final rig acceptance. The next phase involves completing rig-up, installing and testing equipment, and mobilising the remaining personnel and critical well services equipment required for drilling. Invictus, which operates an 80%-owned interest in the Cabora Bassa Project, says Musuma-1 remains on track to spud in the coming weeks, during November 2026. However, the exact start date depends on the arrival of outstanding critical equipment in Zimbabwe and completion of final operational readiness activities. The well represents an important exploration opportunity, targeting a new prospect with the potential to add to the company's existing gas-condensate discoveries in the Cabora Bassa Basin. 📌 Source: Invictus Energy operational update, 6 November 2026. #EnergyAndPowerInsider #InvictusEnergy #Musuma1 #CaboraBassa #OilAndGas #ZimbabweEnergy @ZimGvt_NDS1 @CMukungunugwa @Twinsis50497431 @nickmangwana @energy_invictus @scott_mac_zw @Mavis_Jongwe

Zimbabwe’s renewable energy sector has recorded another milestone following the commissioning of the Limpopo Way Power solar facility in Harare. The 7.4MW installation has started supplying electricity to the national grid, initially generating approximately 5.55MW, 75% of its installed capacity. Full generation is expected within two weeks following the replacement of a faulty transformer, according to the company’s head of business development, Timothy Brown. The project operates under a power wheeling arrangement with ZETDC, allowing an independent power producer to generate electricity at one location and transmit it through the national grid to an agreed private consumer elsewhere. Spanning two adjacent warehouse rooftops measuring approximately 33,500 square metres combined, the facility also includes a 7.2km, 33kV transmission line connecting it to Kambuzuma Substation. Solar Energy Projects served as the project’s engineering, procurement and construction contractor. Beyond adding renewable energy to the national supply, the project is expected to reduce technical losses by an estimated 1.5MW by injecting electricity closer to Harare’s industrial demand centres. The development highlights the growing role of independent power producers and power wheeling in expanding electricity supply and supporting Zimbabwe’s industrial sector. #EnergyAndPowerInsider #SolarEnergy #RenewableEnergy #PowerWheeling #zimbabweenergy
